I met Stephen, an Expect from Home Energy. He diagnosed a longstanding problem and he was from the only Company that bothered to do it right and properly. Even though they couldn’t help fixing the problem because of financial issues.

Sam the Surveyor was very helpful and friendly. She explained all the products and put my mind at rest regarding cavity wall insulation. The result is a much warmer home for the first time in 17 years. Craig and Adam were friendly and explained everything regarding the DPC. They were very efficient and showed the results of their work. The guy who installed the cavity wall insulation also explained everything before and after installation. One very happy customer.

I’m a damp surveyor and had a call from a concerned vulnerable lady that had been lied to and pressured into an 18k contract by a sales rep for a damp course she doesn’t need and cork rendering she absolutely does not need, oh and mould treatment when there is not a spec of mould present. The lady has had sleepless nights from the scare tactics used, deserves a spot on BBC Rogue Traders

Con men. Tried to charge £2520 for an astonishgly up-sold PIV unit and a further £4k for a damp proof course - all the latter entails is drilling holes in the brickwork and inserting some substance that anyone can buy.
Likewise, anyone with an SDS drill can do this. All they do is pull out a moisture meter and say "rising damp you have, 100%".
These are parasites that you should run a mile from, before they run from you after you have paid up, given that they will liquidate the company in order to void any warranty and/or "aftercare".
Stay clear - I am glad that we did.
Edit: I have been forwarded a request for further information.
I note that you have responded to an individual stating that there's a concerted effort by competitors, however, I can confirm that I am not a competitor and do not work in this area.
It was my partner who booked the "free survey", but unfortunately she didn't look in to the company.
While the salesman was in our home, I had found these reviews and I was trying to read them. Only afterwards was I able to dive in, to realise the bullet that we dodged.
As it was, he contacted someone called "Jay" at the head office, allegedly to get us a "good deal" and to "flexi-book" the work. This is typical of dishonest hard sale tactics.
Anyway, my other half was willing to accept the extortionate price, but I opted to wait. I am glad that I did, as we'd have been up the creek with no paddle.
She called last Wednesday to confirm that we did not want any work to be undertaken and to destroy all of our records. Also, the salesman took pictures and videos of our property, so I want confirmation that these have been deleted also.
It would be nice if you could respond to customers that you have left stranded with shoddy and unnecessary work done, that is not covered by the new companies, having transferred assets from the old in order to liquidate it.
If anyone should be threatening legal action, it should be them.
I would highly recommend Home Energy Save GB. Dan completed a survey at my home and made me feel very at ease. I immediately trusted him as an expert in his field and felt confident that the work he recommended would solve the problems I have in my property. The tech he was using was also very impressive. Rob attended today to complete a DPC. He was on time, was efficient, incredibly tidy and thorough.
Two very professional and lovely guys. It has been a positive experience working with Home Energy Save GB. Thank you Dan and Rob!

Sam arrived on time to complete our damp survey and provided great customer service and knowledge.
We’re all booked in next week to have our damp course completed, so I will hopefully be able to leave another 5* review then!

Same experience as others have reported - Had a damp proof course done, provided a 25 year guarantee - the damp proof course hasn't worked - visible rising damp showing through the walls more than 2 years later. However the as the original company has gone bust - guarantee is worthless. So 3K out of pocket and still have a damp issue.
Home Energy Save completed a full DPC on my property a few days ago. Excellent job, James, Rick and Rob were polite, professional and friendly throughout. Job completed in a day and workmanship was top rate. Hardworking guys. Would highly recommend, thank you.

We booked an appointment with this company for a full damp/insulation survey. Sam arrived bang on the time agreed, she started by giving us a brief history of the company and of herself. She spent the first part of the visit doing an interior damp check throughout the bungalow, and followed this with the external. Sam was very thorough and she explained her findings and what our options are. Although we haven’t decided on what we are going to do, we would not hesitate to pass on the company’s details to friends and family. Very professional.

Booked this Company to insulate and part board my loft. Thought all had gone well, albeit rushed. When they left the upstairs lights didn't work. An independent electrician was sent the next day. He had to take up some of the boards to identify the problem. He was here almost 3 hours, and found boards had been screwed down squashing cables. He said it was a fire hazard, and had to piece the cable. He said the Company would have to come back and put the boards down again.
I have arthritis and struggled to get in the loft, but wanted to take photos. There was sawdust everywhere, and floor insulation that had been pulled back hadn't been put back. It took me a long time to tidy up, and I suffered after. I contacted the Company and they said it should have been left clean and tidy. I could tell the boarding had been rushed and not of a good standard. I asked when someone would be coming to sort the boarding out. I was told someone would get back to me. I had to ring many times before finally speaking to Mr Duffy. He said he would come in person, and compensate me for the inconvenience and having to tidy up myself. He rang on the morning he was supposed to come, to re-arrange. I made myself available on the day, having to come back from hospital after taking my Mum to A&E. Mr Duffy didn't turn up. I rang him and left messages, messaged his phone, and was totally ignored. I rang Admin twice and left messages. I asked if Mr Duffy was in, and she said yes, so I asked to speak with him, the reply was "he was busy".I told her how disappointed I was and that it was extremely bad customer service. She said she would get him to ring me, but he didn't,
I had to ring again and said if I didn't hear anything I would take the matter further. I eventually got an apology from admin on Mr Duffy's behalf and to give a date for him to come. He sent someone else this week who put the boards back down. He even stated that he had done a better job than the original installers. I still haven't heard from Mr Duffy or received compensation.
I feel the job was way overpriced and they shouldn't put boarding down if they don't know what they are doing. My house could have caught fire!
I reserve judgement as to the effectiveness of the new insulation.
Steven visited us and diagnosed our issue immediately. He told us how much approx. it would cost and very knowledgeable about the problem. He appeared to be honest and trustworthy. Excellent customer service skills to boot.

I had a couple of issues with my bathroom which Home Energy quoted for, I will deal with both.
1) Shower tray leaking: my shower tray needed resealing and water damage on the surrounding plaster board needed replacing. This was done and repaired but the team left the shower door to leak onto the bathroom floor, which has subsequently needed further work.
2) Damp in second bathroom: I had an issue with mold on the plasterboard in my second bathroom, rising from the floor through the plaster. The contractor assessed the issue as due to poor ventilation and recommended extractor fans and a full system to the tune of over £2k so resolve it. The damp had been progressing to the hallway and this was explained to me to be as a result of ventilation. This was completely incorrect, the team had dismissed the idea of a leak behind the wall in the plumbing in their report (which it turned out to be), and the leak had spread to other areas of the apartment. The resulting damage naturally has resulted in further work, cost another couple of grand to resolve but the damage was greater than it could have been had Home Energy assessed the damage correctly.
Overpriced and incompetent in my view and resulted in much more of an expense to clean up after them. Wouldn't recommend
Craig and Adam from Home Energy Save renewed the damp course, painted and repaired rendering, Luke and Ross renewed part of the rendering. The work was excellent, Craig and Adam went above and beyond, taking a pride in their work. They frequently checked in with me that the work was going as expected. From the point of view of the quality of the work I would give 5 stars, but it is very expensive and so I was less sure about value for money.

Prompt visit arranged with surveyor. Loft Insulation fitters arrived on arranged day. At end of day I checked what had been done and appeared different to what I thought had been arranged. Phoned company, discussed matter and an agreed refund from deposit was repaid same day. Thank you
