hmv (UK) - Bexleyheath Reviews 

was so delighted to know about having HMV branch opening in my area , Bexleyheath . I m a man in my late forties (old school) , and a big fan of music, vintage music systems, and integrating with digital devises to make them hybrid systems with the latest technology . I thought this was brilliant as I used to be a loyal customer to them in Bromley several years ago . I still remember when they announced closing down years ago and I some of my friends went there and bought a lot of CD’s in a humble attempt to support that business ( 2008 or 2009 ) . Despite the ability of getting all music you want these days for FREE or at a fracture of the price of what HMV selling the CD's for, I decided to restore my my habit to buy from them and make my CD collection grow . I bought several CD’s on different occasions from them. I had one which was completely not for me , and decided to see if I could exchange it it ( not refund as I m not in need of money ) . My request was declined as the CD was opened . The respond I had , we are not a library ! I was totally honest and didn't claim any problem with it when they asked me . So I took my CD along with my receipt and left peacefully . The CD was for about £11 which you can get for about £3 online . I went out and gave the CD to BHF charity . I m totally disappointed to see that low level of customer service . While I understand that the business must act to protect its existing, they must however act reasonably and smartly . This is subject to people dealing with this whether from head office or locally . In my view , they can see that I'm a man with a lot white hair and I don't think I look not intelligent to play such a low life game by simply buying and exchanging . I did not request refund but an an exchange . They can keep a loyal and decent customer if they simply accept the exchange and refuse to do so any more if that customer was to make such an attempt again because it will be noted on the precept that I had exchanged it before . In addition, HMV without a shadow of a doubt has placed a huge margin on those CD’s which would allow them for some flexibility, just like any other retailers . I now have no reason why I should go back again and purchase such inflated price goods with zero respect to customers whilst I can get the same product for a fracture of the price else where , or even FREE when it comes to music as some people do . I also don't see the point of spending my hard earning money on business and its people who did not appreciate my business . I just did not like to see more business closing and having more and more cafes or restaurants in our high streets only . The Cd was purchased less than 2 weeks ago .

Its has become more encouraging NOT to make any purchase from HMV

Went into hmv in bexleyheath looking for a specific dvd the male staff (sorry can't remember his name) was very polite,friendly and helpful check if they had a specific dvd in store didn't so ordered it for me which took out the stress for me as looking for it for some time could of ordered it elsewhere but was expensive specially for delivery delivery at hmv wasn't to expensive nor for dvd £6 altogether did this on the Thursday said it will take up to 5 days but came by Saturday which I was very pleased as needed for my partners birthday on the Sunday he was so pleased it was nice to see hmv and vinyl records again the store looked good lots of choice will be going back again just to have a better look around as didn't get time last time.

My order came on day stated which for me is a big thumbs up, packaged well so wouldn't hesitate to use again

Very helpful. I wanted a cd that was not in stock and the staff was very helpful in helping me order to the store. I've done something like this before and they were very patient.
