Hit Rent a Car proved its worth during my extended holiday. The rates were some of the best I found, and the website promised no hidden extras. Sure enough, I paid exactly what the final page said. Returning the car in Istanbul was a breeze, and I got my deposit back promptly.

Snagged a car from HIT for a Bodrum trip. Drove like a dream, and the staff were all friendly and chatty. That 24/7 helpline was a cool bonus too.

Hit Rent a Car in Istanbul was so-so. Booking was fine, but the car had scratches they didn’t mention—made me uneasy. Staff weren’t super helpful either.

I booked a car for my family (through Carjet) but when they tried to block €900 for the security deposit on my credit card, the machine declined. I asked what the solution was and he said I would have to take out their insurance at a cost of €300! As I have an independent car hire excess insurance policy which will pay out up-to €10K I politely declined.

Funny how the card machine would then miraculously work again if I had agreed…

Upon doing research for another car, it appears Hit aren’t the only outfit doing this scam, pretty much all of them are at it!

The only way to be sure of avoiding the Antalya Car Rental Mafia scam is to hire from one of the big names. I used Enterprise who were great.

This company took my stress away by letting me pay in installments on my Turkish credit card. My father needed a car with a bit more luggage space, so we upgraded without a hitch at the counter. It was a smooth process, and I will happily use them again.

Very helpful we delayed due to passport control issues but no problem we were picked up and taken to the office. The car was checked over paperwork sorted and on our way in good time. No issues with the car and used it quite a bit on the holiday. The return was just as simple quick and easy no hassle. Friendly polite staff

Used this site in Mugla. Booking was alright, but the car was old and noisy. Staff didn’t seem bothered—cheap, but not thrilled.

Avoid as much as you can.
HIT will charge you even if no damage ocured and you had full package of insurance.
HIT will also charge you for trafic fines which you never get or even seen.

Extremely poor customer service, they try to scam you into buying their Kasko insurance by declining your credit card. I had a valid credit card but they wouldn’t accept it and cancelled my reservation unless I paid £250 for insurance, do not rent a car from this people

This company is a fraudulent and deceitful business. I found them through the Economy Booking website. Their prices were extremely low, which is actually part of their scam. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of booking a car with them for two weeks.

Imagine this: I arrived in Antalya at midnight with my family (my wife and young child). They took us to the middle of nowhere in the dead of night. After checking my documents, they claimed that none of my three gold credit cards were working, even though I had used these cards multiple times to rent cars in Turkey, Spain, Italy, and Greece.

My only option was to purchase their insurance, which cost three times the price of the car rental. At midnight, with my wife and young child, I had no other choice.

In the end, they gave me a dirty, smelly transport van instead of the car I had reserved. The vehicle was in terrible condition. I am sharing photos of this filthy and disgusting car with you in Google reviews.

This company is a scam. Please, please, please don’t be fooled by their low prices, and under no circumstances rent a car from them.

I rented a car thru Discovercars. They didn't accepted my Swiss Mastercard for hold 900euros. They told me my card not working I have to buy additional insurance I called my bank, my card was fine. Hit rental just wanted sell extra insurance for 240 eurós. We left hitrental with taxi to the hotel.. I called Discovercars to get other car from different company,but only get a car next day for more expensive. Careful! Don't rent from them! Scam!!!!

I have had to report the car rental company to Mastercard.
Deposit is not reserved as agreed, but withdrawn from my account.
Deposit €900,00 has not yet been refunded 50 days after the return of the car.

WE ARRIVED LATE EVENING AT AIRPORT CALLED TO GET PICK UP TO GET CAR. DRIVER ARRIVES TWENTY MINS LATER IN A SMALL CAR. WE GOT TO OFFICE TO PICKUP CAR. ASKED FOR PASSPORT , DRIVING LICENCE . OK. THEN I AM TOLD I HAVE TO PAY 25 EUROS A DAY FOR SEVEN DAYS EXTRA. BECAUSE OF MY AGE, 67. I I HAD CHCKED ALL TIS BEFORE HAND. I HAD AGREED TO PAY FOR COVER OF 9000 EUROS ACCESS COVER IF THEIR WAS AN ACCIDENT. AND THE BALANCE OF HIRE. WAS WAS 65 POUNDS. NOW WHEN I CHECKED I WAS OK UP TOO THE AGE OF 99 YEARS TO DRIVER BCAUSE I WAS WILLING TO TAKE THE ACCESS COVER, NOW AT GETING TO THE OFFICE I AM TOLDED I HAVE TOO PAY THAT EXTRA 25 EUROS PER DAY. WE DID NOT HAVE IT. AND THE SMALL CAR WAS THE ONE THEY WAS GOING TO GIVE US. WHICH I HAD ASKED FOR MEDUIM SIZE VEHICLE. SO WE DECIDED WE NO LONGER WANT TO HIRE CAN I HVE A REFUND, I WAS TOLD GO TOO THE BROKER. WHICH IS CARJET RENTAL. WE WAS DROPED AT AIRPORT AND LEFT TO GET TRANSPORT TO GET TO OUR DESTINATION. WE WASAT THE AIRPORT FOR ANOTHER HOUR TRYING TO GET TOO OUR FINAL DESTINATION. WHICH COST US MORE THAN WE EXPECTED, I WOULD SAY THAT. HIT CAR RENTALS IS NOT A COMPANY I WOULD ADVICE ANYONE TOO USE. THEY ARE ABOUT RIPPNG PEOPLE OFF. THEY WILL (HIT) YOU WITH EXTRA CHARGES . I CAN SEE WHY THEY ARE CALLED HIT CAR RENTALS. THEY WILL HIT YOU HARD FOR MORE MONEY UNEXPECTEDLY.
