Recently bought a car from Hitchfields

Recently bought a car from Hitchfields, brilliant service from start to finish, great price. Kieran was excellent ensured we got the best deal possible and was extremely professional throughout which made the whole process so much smoother. Great company hitchfields highly recommend

Sam at hitchfields was amazing .acquired my GTE golf and delivered it hassle free
Very patient and knowledgable and clearly enjoys his job. Every step of my experience was easy simple and straightforward.
Nothing was too much for these guys and assured me along the way with my many questions answered promptly.
They aren’t trying to push you atal .

Untrustworthy liars

Untrustworthy liars - selling insurances in case the vehicle breaks down for any mechanical repair turns out they charge just under £4,000 but then tell you that they don’t pay it and you have to pay half the fees as they are limited. No refund has been bursted and they fail to communicate they have stopped answering or returning a call to explain them selves

Amazing staff

Amazing staff, Beautiful showroom and are so welcoming unlike a lot of dealerships who are on your back. These guys let you take your time and don’t rush you to make a decision. Would definitely recommend and will be buying again in the future !

Best car buying experience

Looking for a new car can be daunting but Hitchfield Ltd made sure I was taken care of every step of the way and fully informed. The team who dealt with me were amazing especially Sam, who gave me a brilliant walk a round video before I purchased the car. As a women, it was nice not to feel intimidated or pushed into anything.

Hichfields 128ti purchase.
This is a part 1 review which includes the process up to and including car purchase. Part 2 will follow after the dealer 30 Warranty expires.

Part 1. 11 Oct 25
Customer Service:
We delt with Sam throught the enquiry and sale process. In a nutshell he was brilliant. Really sraight forward and got back to me quickly with answers to my questions, even took calls on his day off and came in on his day off of to complete the sale. Thanks again Sam.

The car:
We had a video walk round sent to us. From walking around it the minor chips and scratches were as advertised. At time of writing I haven't found anything additional. Test drive was good and no issues apparent. Car was clean and well presented. The original equipment (2x keys, locking wheel nut etc.) were present with the paper BMW manuals.

So far so good 👍

Part 2. Update 29 Nov 25.
The car has been faultless. We had a unprompted call from Hitchfields at the 29 day point to discuss any issues we had, showing good post sale customer service. From our experience we would recommend Hitchfields. 👌

I recently purchased a 23 Golf R from Hitchfields and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the car. From the moment I stepped into the dealership the entire experience was smooth and professional. I would recommend Sam and Hitchfields!

Not happy at all with my experience of Hitchfields.

They bid successfully for my car on Motorway (who were very good and I would recommend) at exactly the guide price. However, when it came to collecting the vehicle, they let me down TWICE with failed collections, both of which required me to take time off work), neither of which they compensated for. However, the real issues came when they turned up to collect the vehicle and then claimed it wasn’t as described. The play here is that their inspector/collector turns up and goes all over the vehicle looking for issues and then calls back to the office, for them to then follow up with a call to you to reduce the price. They said paint marks/lifting on one of the wheels wasn’t in the ad, when clearly it was. Then they said the driver’s seat bolster was badly worn when it wasn’t and was also clearly photographed for the ad. Also, that the windscreen had chips, which when pointed out by the guy who came to collect, were actually miniscule (so small you had to look really closely to see if anything was there). However, the biggest thing was the brake discs, which according to the office, the guy collecting said had a big lip. I challenged this with the guy on the driveway, who said he had made no such comment. Still on the phone to the office, I asked which one of them was lying then; the guy collecting swore it wasn’t him and the office said he had said the discs were worn. The guy collecting shook his head and said “they do this all time”, to which the office then said regardless, they were only prepared to pay £2,300 less than they bid. With my new car to be signed for the next day, I was left with no choice and I think that is what they do – bid high to win, then delay things so you become desperate and then pick non-existent faults when they turn up to knock the price down to what they want to pay. BEWARE
