Weird scaling issue ruins most movies.
While they have plenty of good shows and movies, the biggest issue with HBO Max is the resolution issue that they have yet to fix, and I have little trust they will fix it in a timely manner. If you like watching your shows zoomed in so you can only see half the movie screen, then HBO is perfect for you. Otherwise, I think your money would be better spent on a Disney+/Hulu bundle. House of dragons is not good enough to make up for the rest of the issues this platform has.
What the excuse for the timing of seasons?
I like HBO but this waiting for 2-3years for another season.. that is only 8 episodes.. I feel like they are better than this sad track record. They finally get good shows going on again, like House of the Dragon, but everytime they wait so long.. they hurt their own ratings and viewership. Shows used to have more than 1 season per year... are streaming services just not up to that task? Covid was a good excuse.. but that's over. The writers strike was a good excuse... that's over too. So why does it take 2 years per 8 episodes? Come on HBO... get your house in order...
What happened to them
What happened to them. They used to be this sought after station on cable. Worthy of the cost. Now they are just like all the other cable stations. They ruined a few series including game of thrones.
Unreliable service
Unreliable service. Takes forever to load programs lately and lots of Content Not Available messages. Useless.

So many ads it's not even worth the trouble. My favorite ever channel sold out and is now complete trash 🗑️
Why am I forced to watch a basketball…
Why am I forced to watch a basketball commercial when I pay full price for HBO MAX? There's not too much that I watch on HBO and I will cancel my subscription if this becomes the norm. There are "other ways" to view the shows on HBO and I will take full advantage if needed.
I have a package from my cable TV…
I have a package from my cable TV provider that includes a couple of channels HBO. I think I have three channels and a paid option for HBO on the go. I must say that most of the time my TV is on these channels. I like coming home or whenever I have time to play the TV and let HBO surprise me with what I am going to watch. Sometimes I can watch a couple of movies in a row. I like their choices.
One downside is that they repeat the new movies quite often, but there is an advantage to that as well. I never paid anything extra for their on-demand option 😀 If you are patient you can wait for the movie to be broadcasted.

Probably the best in terms of quality of shows
While it is not the most popular streaming service, I really like HBO for the quality of shows they have. I have the impression that this company focuses more on providing quality programs, over quantity.
Maybe this makes sense because their concept is more focused on being a TV channel, rather than a streaming service. However, the demand today for streaming services is larger than watching a tv program, and HBO has successfully updated their offering to follow this trend by introducing the HBO on-the-go service.
I am kind of an oldtimer when it comes to watching movies, and I just navigate to the HBO channel on my Tv and let them surprise me with a movie. They always succeed in getting my attention.
Source of relaxation.
I've been loving HBO since the GoT and ever since they never disappointed me with the quality and scale of the TV shows.
Actually over the years they become bigger and better.

HBO continue to produce amazing series…
HBO continue to produce amazing series only for the suits to cancel after a season or two. What this does is instill NO loyalty and wait to see if the shows have a life betond their first season. The problem is the suits are money men and not creatives.
If I could give HBO a zero on a rating
If I could give HBO a zero on a rating, I would. This is a long story but I’ll try to keep it short. In 2021-2022 HBO double charged me for months. I didn’t notice because the charges were far apart enough that I only saw one charge. When I caught it and asked HBO what was going on. They ended up giving me all my money back. At this point I really liked HBO, I liked the shows and they did the right thing and gave me ALL the double charges back. (I only expected half.) Then, (again without me knowing) they started double charging me AGAIN! The very next month! I couldn’t believe it!! I have been in contact with them, a lot. Basically when I brought these multiple double charges to their attention they told me basically they will not give my money back, when it was clearly their fault. They are straight out thieves!!!! Save a ton of money, and stay away from a thieving company by staying far, far away from HBO, or MAX, or whatever they are calling themselves.
Do NOT become a victim of HBO!!
Do NOT become a victim of HBO!!! They are in NO way worth 17 CENTS let alone $17. And it's NOT a question of if or even when, they WILL/ARE/DO STEAL from you and rip you off EVERY chance they get, and they will NOT EVER REFUND YOUR MONEY!! They are the MOST EVIL CROOKED and DISGUSTINGLY CORRUPT "company" EVER!!! DO NOT BE THEIR VICTIM!!!

I called customer service and did not get anywhere and didn’t get my issue resolved..lousy customer service support, ever since they have become max, they are showing their true colors, arrogant American people, who have rude and arrogant customer service agents and supervisors, who train these people, because they do not have any respect or experience talking to longtime customers such as me. Horrible
Horrible ! Never again. Been using this HBO max app for past year, yesterday app offer update. After update, stated: your device non compatible ! And their customer support ... Zero help, zero !!! Never again. Jenkies, stop the panic or you will end up on your own. ON YOUR OWN ! Last words are for those who know what I am talking about..
Poor catalog
I haven't had much bad experience with the service but the catalog kind of sucks. There are a few good shows and movies but then the rest is all crap. I have a strong feeling you could watch everything you'd enjoy in one month. It's kinda not worth it. Wish they had a better catalog.
A few issues but all good
I like the platform a lot. The player is pretty easy to use and it's faster than other sites. My only complaint is that sometimes the site not load properly. Overall, is decent.

I'm giving you 5 starts in account of a wide variety of diverse shows, some of which are incredibly brilliant (like TLOU show adaptation, honestly, don't really know why did people were so angry because of the,for example "not accurately looking clickers"..as for me all the decorations were recreated precisely well!). Although "Velma" series isn't m cuo of tea, simply because in my opinion the original Velma's character is better, but as i said, it's just my personal point of view about "Velma".. overall,HBO indeed has at least several very interesting and awesome shows/movies etc,so ,i do recommend it.
Holiday-themed schmaltz
I used to think HBO had high-quality content, but my recent experience with the network is poor. Why are there now so many lame Christmas-themed rom-com movies that are shown year-round, instead of just around Christmas? I'm prepared to put up with a certain amount of holiday schmaltz, but this year-round business makes me want to avoid HBO movies entirely.
