I called this company to express an interest in purchasing an item listed on their web site and to enquire what their best price was. I agreed to pay the asked for discounted sum either by making a credit card or Paypal payment. They assured me that this would be fine (their website states they accept both these methods of payments) and the additional understanding was that, having received full payment, they would be happy to hold it on their premises until my courier called to collect it on my behalf. I was advised that l would then receive confirmation of my purchase / our agreement with an invoice by email. On receiving this email the following day l noticed that although the correct sum had been quoted in addition they had stated that payment could be made only by bank transfer and further that the item had to be delivered my themselves. Both of these statements were completely contrary to what they themselves had agreed to. By then it was therefore obvious they had simply decided that this sum wasn't enough and so consequently they were now going back on their word in order to ensure l was denied the item at this price. I forward an emailed response advising them that as this wasn't in keeping with our original agreement l would not now be completing my purchase. I've since noted that it is now also listed for sale on ebay at an inflated asking price. Extremely disappointing and very bad form. I've never before been treated by a retailer in such a shabby and off hand way.
