GrubHub losing the grip on giving good experiences

Last week I had order from GrubHub. purchased food . It was pizza and it came with no tape on the pizza box. My son-in-law seen the driver pull the piece up out of the backseat where four people was in the car with him as well. So strike one! So they gave me a discount. I decided to give him another chance today. I purchased my sandwich and instead of getting it in the lobby to the front desk. I receive the food on the ledge of the window by the door. The the business is open and the driver could have came in and dropped it off to the front. However they didn't and then the bonus is. I also got the empty container bottle on top of my food in the bag. They slowly going down with choosing the proper drivers to deliver our food. Very disappointed on how they handle my food.

Contact Free Delivery - Never Agree to This

One of my past orders showed as “delivered”, but it was left at someone else’s house. Grubhub would not give me a credit for food I never received. Since then I have requested “hand it to me” when I order. I unchecked the box saying “contact free delivery” and hand it to me. The last 9 orders I received were left on the ground outside my house. The drivers did not ring my bell or knock. They did not “hand it to me”. I have come to the conclusion that the drivers cannot read English.

Grubhub has the absolute worst drivers

Grubhub has the absolute worst drivers.
It's not the restaurant, it's the drivers. They sit still until the time gets pushed back and by the time they decide to deliver it's cold.
Alternatively, and more and more frequently, the drivers don't seem to know how to read. They can't follow directions on the gps. I have had several drivers call and ask me for directions after they've driven in the wrong direction. My road name has the word 'school' in it. I've had drivers drive to an actual school and wonder where the door is.
This is the last time.

Grubhub service is horrible

Grubhub service is horrible! Customer service definitely when something goes wrong with your order. The guarantee perks of $5 if your order is late doesn't apply after a couple of orders. When placing an order through them the ETA is always an hour later but still never on time. The few times I used them I had to wait over 2 hours ro receive my delivery. I do not recommend Grubhub for your food delivery service. Recommended service would definitely be Doordash or Uber eats, much better service.

Grubhub customer service is a joke

Grubhub customer service is a joke. Zero accountability. They have no issue taking the profits, but when it comes to owning an order gone wrong, their m.o. is to blame the customer. When a merchant screws up your order, they flat out refuse to give you any type of discount, and are willing to lose thousands of dollars of your business over one bad $30 order. This comes from upper management. They treat their customers like peasants, they don’t have our backs, so why give them our business? Do yourself a favor. Switch to DoorDash or anything else.

Please take the time and read this

Please take the time and read this. If I could’ve given -5 stars I would have. The food was delivered and left at the front door on the ground. Not to mention he apparently had picked up the wrong meal. After calling GrubHub to get this resolved, they had more excuses than you could ever imagine. I refuse to eat my food after it has been left in the Florida heat at the front door. Do not use this company.

Second time the order not recieved this…

Second time the order not recieved this time the driver just kept picture shows passenger seat in delivery car as sent. Then ask can we redeliver after such dishonesty gave second chance and paid for a stangers free lunch.
Trying to get refund.
What a dishonest inconsistent company!!!!

This was my first time and last using it.

This was my first time using this, not this time. They took forever and by the time it got here everything was cold and the chicken wasn't fresh. They only refunded half of my money which was irresponsible and unprofessional. I will NOT use Grubhub again.Disappointed bad first time.

I ordered food

I ordered food, gave very explicit directions to my home, but food was never delivered. I received a text saying it was delivered with a picture of my food sitting on someone else's doorstep!! When I talked with someone on their website, I was told my food was going to be reordered and redelivered. Time goes by, still nothing, no food. So I called their grubhub guarantee hotline only to find out my food was never reordered. I was told I would receive a $5 off coupon for my next order, and they also at that time put my food order through. I ordered my food at around 7pm. It finally showed up a little after 10pm, cold and wrong. The place was also closed now at that point. I will never use this service again. Anyone want my stupid $5 off coupon?? Yeah, I didn't think so - me either!!

Delivery drivers are incompetent

The idiot driver came into the wrong side of the industrial plant I work in (completely different street name), and left the order at an unmanned guard post saying that it was delivered! I had to call their helpline to get the order replaced. Since this was the second time in two days their drivers screwed up, I will no longer be using Grubhub!

Don’t bother using Grubhub

I use Grubhub last week in order to get a hamburger for lunch. I gave explicit directions, in the app for the driver to deliver to my apartment complex. The driver was late coming to my apartment complex and once he got here, he drove around the apartment complex. He sat beneath my balcony and parked, and he must’ve eaten my food. I didn’t get the food and he marked the food as delivered. I tried repeatedly to contact the courier. I called him several times he hung up the phone. I texted him several times he ignored the text. I called customer service and I was issued a credit in excess of $30.. I also had a credit in the system for $25 that will expire July 1. I tried to order food today for pick up with Grubhub because I don’t trust the drivers to do the right thing and at this point, don’t trust him to handle my food. I was told that I’m not allowed to use both credits together. Meanwhile, I have a credit card balance because of your ineptitude. The customer service agent issued my credit in the form of a Grubhub credit and I will say that that’s my fault. I was so angry. I didn’t see what they were writing in the chat.. I will not use your service any longer even though I am a prime customer. If I have credit in the system, why should you be able to legislate how I use them? rest assured, I am going to tell everybody that I know not to use your service, on every social media site that I use.. You’re doing a customer service when you can’t provide them service for the money that they have already spent, in your system, when you did not honor an agreement. My first order with Grubhub was on June 1. They would not accept Grubhub credits used in combination, on June 6.. This is how they extort their customers. They claim that you cannot use the credit together. So, in short, they will use your money, but they want to tell you how you can use it when they have to issue your credit. Never again!

If I could give them less than 1 star I…

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. This company is truly sickening, I believe them to be Criminal and the equivalent of modern day slavers. I know many people who have driven and currently drive for this abominable company and I’ll say this… in most instances you can make more money holding a sign that reads “will work for food” how they are allowed to operate in the United States is beyond me.

Drivers never picked up two orders…

Drivers never picked up two orders march 8 and 9th 2026.
I was texted they grubhut canceled my orders blah blah.
The emails same and was told the money would be refunded IT WAS NOT.
I filed dispute with my credit card company and grubhub lied to them and my dispute was denied.
I am so pissed off I'm considering small claims law suit...

Horrible experience will never use Grub hub again I ordered my food and hour ago and still no currier this will be the last time I called customer service and they couldn’t even help me I told my food would be and they didn’t even care all they said was well call back when you get and it’s cold and we will see what we can do to help out so I said I wanted a full refund and there answer was we will see what we can do well that’s unprofessional and ridiculous this is a constant thing if you don’t have people in the area to deliver my food then don’t do that area I’m sry but this is not right and I will definitely let people know not to order from here bc as far as I’m
Concerned this is a company that doesn’t take responsibility for there drivers and refuses to help this is inexcusable People use this service in good faith that there good will be picked up on time and delivered on time

They suck

I placed a lunch order today for several people and the bill came to $169.00. Out of the order there were supposed to be 3 potatoes and we got only one. The cheddar/broccoli sauce smelled rancid and tasted bad! The mushrooms in our salad were slimy and gross. We all had dirt in bits of our salads! Grubhub makes it almost impossible to complain. The numbers say they don't take calls anymore. Now, it's 11:22pm when I finally got a message back from them and now they want pictures. How can I take pictures of non existent food, slimy mushrooms or dirt in my salad. I don't believe a picture of cheddar/broccoli sauce smell or taste bad in a picture! On top of that I threw all the food out! It was the worst meal I have ever had let alone pay $169 for! By the way, the restaurant was the Garden Bar at Ruby Tuesday in Pensacola.

Wish no stars were an option

Wish no stars were an option. I ordered food 2 hours ago now. I have called got on the chat. All my efforts were for not. Grubhub has no clue what customer service is. I requested a refund and wanted doordash 15 mins away not 1 more hour. I was told NO!!!!!!! You will take a $5.00 discount for the next time you use us. No I will not. You will refund my money now!!!!!!! Still being told NO!!!!!!!!!!. When the order does not show up. I will be told NO again.

Very poor business practices

Three separate occasions we have not received our order due to grubhub not assigning a driver and once a driver is assigned when the driver gets to the restaurant the restaurant will have closed. I have tried to contact grubhub to speak to a supervisor and the only thing you are able to contact is AI which is very limited so nothing is being fixed and the place of business you ordered from is getting the blame. Very poor business practices.

Not stores fault

Not the drivers fault or the stores fault, but the Grubhub website screwed up and they refuse to make it right. If you are actually chatting with a live person all they type are scripted replies and offer no help whatsoever. I am very disappointed in the Grub hub service. You can't speak to a live individual and all they want to do is blame the customer. True customer service attempts to make things right. Not place blame. Having worked in Customer Service for over 20 years most as a supervisor, you do not blame the customer, EVER. I place an order to be delivered the next day at a certain time. I verified this numerous times. The website does not allow you to go back and see this. They placed and delivered the order over 24 hours early. This order was for almost $300 and was part of a meal for a family for a funeral. Not only did they make a bad situation worse they refuse to further than their script to fix anything. Very poor scripted robotic customer service. This is what AI is leading to.
