Excellent service
The service was slick. An instant quote. Easy to send the items. Immediate response to an email I sent. I was then advised that the value of the goods I sent was significantly more than my original quote. When I agreed to sell, the money was paid into my bank account within hours. (The price paid was almost double that offered by another well known company that does valuations in a van in local car parks). Highly recommend.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Extremely quick and easy to request the pack to send in your gold. The pack is simple to understand to use. On the same day my pack was delivered, I was contacted with a slightly revised quote (which I expected as the workings in the watch were not gold so were removed) but which was still way higher than anywhere else and included an extra £10 for sending my pack back quickly. Once I replied to accept the offer, the money was in my account immediately. All communications were polite and professional and I thoroughly recommend The Goldmonkeys as a highly professional and trustworthy company.

Only a three due to amount offered being very much lower than amount promised. Reason given was after stone removal. Stones would definitely not have weighed what was deducted from original offer. Be cautious! Fast payout.

After reading your email last night it's obvious that nobody other than yourself is allowed an opinion. My opinion stands. I'm actually allowed it! I didn't actually get out of bed and decide to send you my gold for the soul purpose of leaving a review like I left. I'm sorry you feel I wasn't allowed to leave one without contacting you first or indeed going through the hassle of having it returned so I could send it to a competitor.
P.s. yes the picture you sent was very nice but! It really wasn't clear enough to show every item.. plus I can clearly see black stones.

For anyone reading, we would like to directly address the suggestion that the weight deducted for stones was inaccurate, because the implication of dishonesty is something we firmly reject.
Your initial quote was an estimate based on your own description, before we had received and weighed your items. Once received, we tested and weighed the actual gold content and found it to be 1.67g less once stones were removed. Before you accepted our revised offer, we sent you a photograph of your items on our scales showing this exact figure — giving you full visibility, and the opportunity to ask questions, request the stones be weighed separately, or have the items returned to you free of charge, before you chose to proceed. You made no comment or objection, but instructed us to "please proceed".
The 1.67g deducted was not an estimate. It was the difference between your items as received (with stones) and the actual 9ct gold content, weighed and photographed, with the evidence sent to you before you accepted. The accuracy of your own scales isn't relevant here because you weighed your items when they still had the stones in.
We'd also point anyone reading this to our wider review history: customers regularly tell us that, when their gold turned out to weigh more, or test at a higher carat, than they expected, we increased our offers accordingly. That's the same honest weighing and testing process applied in every direction, and we are very proud of it.
We also honoured your original locked-in price with our 7 day price guarantee despite the gold price having fallen significantly, and added our Early Return Bonus on top — nobody else would do this.
We're sorry you feel the final amount was lower than hoped, but the figures here were honest and accurate, based on clear evidence, and - crucially - shown to you before you agreed to proceed, making no objection or query.
Thank you for the update, Ed. To be clear, we have never suggested you aren't entitled to an opinion — only that the opinion expressed isn't accurate, and that's an important distinction. Our weighing evidence was provided to you before you accepted, and you chose to proceed without objection or query.
On the photograph: if any very small stones remain in the setting after removal, we don't deduct for those — we pay for them as though they were gold, even though they have no value to us or any gold buyer. So in that respect, any stones still visible in the picture would have worked in your favour, not against you.

I was very impressed by the speed at which my cash from GOLD MONKEY'S was made. The whole experience was so easy and I received more than I expected.

I am so impressed! I weighed my gold and took pictures of each piece and its weight. I submitted the amount in grams and was given a price. I received a special delivery envelope and instructions the next day and sent my gold off . I got an email within 36hours informing me that one of the items was , in fact, 18ct gold and my offer had increased substantially . I accepted the offer by email and the full amount was in my account within the hour.
Simple process, honest and accurate assessment and immediate payment.

My experience with this company was positive from the outset. Clear friendly communication and fantastic customer service. Price quoted was transparent and fair, no hidden costs at all.
