My partner Kyle and I had an amazing experience with Golden Tours on the day trip from London to Bath, Stonehenge, and Windsor Castle.
Our guide, Bruce James, truly made the tour. He was kind, funny, and incredibly engaging throughout the entire day. One of the most impressive things was how he remembered everyone’s names—it made the experience feel much more personal.
Everything was well-organized and easy, and Bruce went above and beyond by making sure everyone knew exactly how to get back to their destinations at the end of the tour.
This was my first trip to the UK/Europe, and it was such an impactful experience. I would absolutely recommend this tour—especially if you get Bruce as your guide.

Bruce and Mario with golden tours were beyond what we expected. They made the tour wonderful! Super knowledgeable about everything and anything tour related or not. They timed our trip to Windsor Castle so that we were the first group in! Great tour sampling
Great tour for a small sampling of attractions. Stone Henge was a bucket list see, Windsor Castle was beautiful and Oxford was typical historical site/university. Pauly, our guide, was knowledgeable and entertaining. Armondo, our driver, got us there in one piece with a smooth ride. DON’T BE LATE, YOU WILL BE LEFT BEHIND!

Quite probably the best tour I've ever experienced! Went on the Windsor castle, Stonehenge and the Roman baths day tour. Bruce, was the total guidance package - informative, educational, personable, entertaining and highly amusing. All while never missing a beat.

I recently used this hop-on hop-off bus…
I recently used this hop-on hop-off bus tour in London, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.
One of the main issues was that several stops were closed due to roadworks, which significantly disrupted our plans. While I understand that such situations can be unavoidable, it would greatly improve the experience if the company updated this information in their app in real time. That way, customers can plan accordingly instead of wasting time going to unavailable stops.
Additionally, we had a frustrating experience where we were waiting at a designated stop, and the bus simply drove past us without stopping.

We encourage customers to check this area before and during their journey for the most accurate, real‑time information.
Regarding the bus not stopping at your designated stop, this is not the level of service we aim to provide. We will review this with our team to ensure it does not happen again.
We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve our service, and we hope to offer you a much better experience in the future.
Advertising times that might not be available
I booked a family trip to a GoKarting event in Canary Wharf via Golden Tours. Confirmed, Authorised and payment taken for the chosen afternoon slot.
An email days later saying it's not available and we were offered a morning slot (we can't do this).
I understand they are a reseller and don't own the event. Golden Tours explained they don't control the availability or times. The venue does so be wary of making plans for a specific time and making plans around that time. The process requires them to subsequently book on your behalf and seems like they "hope" there is availability for the event.
Poor customer service after this. They did give a refund and now need to find another event for the day causing disruption.
Thank you for your reply. You do know I can still go on and book that same time that has never been available? As well as all other times (outside of the morning). I have spoken to the venue who informed me they have spoken to you about this.
If this is industry standard, I would be very dubious about booking anything via a reseller.

Golden Tours functions as a booking agent for independently operated experiences. This means:
Our platform allows customers to reserve activities.
The supplier of the activity manages all availability, scheduling, and confirmation.
Final times and slots are determined solely by the activity provider, based on their own operational constraints.
In this instance, the time displayed on our website was provided by the supplier and—unfortunately—later deemed unavailable when they processed the reservation. While this situation is rare, it can occur when suppliers experience sudden changes in capacity or scheduling.
Although Golden Tours is not the contractual provider of the Go‑Karting service, we acted promptly by:
Communicating the supplier’s update as soon as it was received,
Offering the alternative time proposed by the supplier, and
Issuing a full refund immediately when the new time was unsuitable for your plans.
We completely understand that this does not undo the disappointment, but we do want to emphasise that your booking was handled in line with standard industry procedures, and we acted in good faith throughout.
Your feedback is genuinely appreciated, and we are already reviewing how supplier‑managed availability can be reflected even more clearly on our platform to help prevent similar issues in the future.

Open Top London Bus Tour with Live Guide
Bought tickets with the help of the chat agent as their website wasn't working properly. Showed up at the starting point 15 minutes early, and asked the staff member if this was the one with the live guide. "Yeah, I guess so, get on." I insisted on clarification, he consulted his phone and said, "Yeah, this should be it." Went upstairs and at the appointed time, the bus starts off with no live guide. At the first stop I asked the driver what was going on and was told the guide hadn't shown up, so we should WALK back to the starting point and wait for the next one in an hour. I pointed out my husband uses a cane and couldn't do that, so his suggestion was to stand there and wait for an hour. We had to get a cab back to the hotel and the afternoon was shot. Contacted customer service for a refund and get this:
"Thank you for your response and for sharing your concerns with us.
We are very sorry to hear how disappointed you were with your experience and fully understand the frustration caused by the inconvenience during your visit. We sincerely apologise again for the impact this had on your day and the additional expense you mentioned.
After carefully reviewing your case, the 15% refund offered is the maximum goodwill gesture we are able to provide in this situation."
Seriously?? My day was ruined, I had extra expenses, and they still think I should pay? After much back-and-forth with their BS, their final offer was 20% off. MY final offer was contacting my credit card company to reverse the charge. Don't use this company - they have no honesty or integrity.

In such situations, our policy does not ordinarily allow for refunds, as the service (the tour itself) still operates as scheduled, and all other inclusions remain fully delivered.
Nonetheless, as a gesture of goodwill, and in recognition of your inconvenience, our team extended a partial refund beyond what our policy requires. This was offered in good faith and with sincere intention to acknowledge your concerns.
We understand that the experience did not meet your expectations that day, and we are genuinely sorry for the disruption. At the same time, we wish to emphasise that our team acted in accordance with published guidelines, operational transparency, and standard industry practices.

We were lucky the tour took place, as the original tour guide called in sick in the morning. Unfortunatly the subbing tourguide wasn't prepared enough to provide a smooth tour with Harry Potter trivia, it was rather about historical facts.

Harry Potter Tour from KX
The museum of making Harry Potter was great experience. The company had it well-organized (pick up points), the bus had a Harry Potter layout. However, I think that the time we could spend inside was not enough. Arriving to the museum we received tickets for 13:30-14 and had to leave at 17:15 for Kings Cross. The bus on the way there felt more like a sauna. The bus on the way back was modern but show up 6 minutes late after our departure time so we were waiting for it directly into the wind.
Booking proces easy. Good location of pick up point.
