I had a very disappointing experience with Pritesh at Gibbs Gillespie, from the property viewing stage right up to moving in. I expressed interest in a property nearly a month in advance to ensure everything would be ready for my move to London and the start of my new job, but the process was chaotic and frustrating.
The Gibbs Gillespie portal was faulty and caused significant delays in verifying my details. It repeatedly showed incorrect information about my employment status, making it difficult for Pritesh to believe my explanations. On multiple occasions, Pritesh accessed the wrong profile and provided me with irrelevant information, which only added to the confusion.
As the moving date approached, I still had no confirmation that the deal was finalized. This uncertainty forced me to start exploring alternative options, which was incredibly stressful. Throughout this ordeal, the blame was conveniently shifted to the landlord, with claims that they were taking time to approve documents—something I found hard to believe.
On the day of moving in, I asked Pritesh for some flexibility to meet me at the property to hand over the keys, as I had a removals van ready to unload my belongings. Instead, I was told I had to visit the Gibbs Gillespie office to provide my passport for photocopying. This delay meant I had to unload everything myself despite having paid for the service.
After moving in, my attempts to contact Pritesh about unresolved issues—such as rusty locks and the lack of professional cleaning—have been ignored.
If you're looking for a new home, I cannot recommend Gibbs Gillespie based on my experience. The lack of organization, poor communication, and lack of accountability made this process unnecessarily difficult.

My experience with these Estate Agents, together with reading so many negative comments in this section, says it all: Gibbs Gillespie is an agency NOT TO BE TRUSTED and THEY ARE DISCRIMINATORY.
Commenting and exchanging experiences with other people who have dealt with these agents, we have come to the conclusion that THERE IS A LOT OF CORRUPTION in this agency, both in the sale of properties and in the rental sector.
For example, how can it be understood that a family (that I know) is told that they cannot rent a house for £2600 a month because they have (only-??-) an income of £85000 a year and they think that is not enough (??)...and they do not take into account their savings...BUT they are told that "if they pay 6/12 months' up-front rent in advance then, they are welcome to rent their properties and do not need to look at anything else (?)"...I think this company is not to be trusted. I would not be surprised if only fraudsters and corrupt people can do business with them:One for Another.

Recently exchanged contracts on a house advertised through Gibbs Gillespie, our journey hasn't been the smoothest but Luca has always kept us updated with the latest information and chased up relevant third parties when required. I hope the need to do this again is a long way off but when the time comes I would happily use Gibbs Gillespie again.

We sold our property with GG, Leah was the agent to provide great service along this sales. Even though the whole process took more than 6 months. There were so many things happened through out the whole process. Thanks so much Leah for all the hard work. This sales journey always reminding me that we are team. 😉thanks again! I wish you all the best!

Harry Rai from GG was amazing. He showed us our (hopefully soon) new flat. He went through every single detail and answered all our questions which as first time buyers we had a few.
Also the team in the office was always attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend GG and thanks a lot again, Harry!

5 years ago, GG sold our property within a month of listing with them after over a year with a competitor. We then were welling our current property over the past year which was further afield so didn't go with GG at first. What do you know several months past and the other agents hadnt produced any offers. Once again within a month GG Northwood had secured a buyer for us. This is not a coincidence. Amazing service all around from Michael and the team. I cannot thank you enough!

Successful completion of a difficult transaction would not have happened without the tremendous energy and support from Leah in the Ealing Broadway office. In particular she worked so well with the seller to reassure her that I was doing all in my power to resolve issues further down the chain. Leah also v efficient - rapid responses to emails and calls.

Simeon, Danielle and the team were amazing from start to finish of selling my property.

Aqib and the team are real professionals from start to finish. They kept me informed, with market trends, viewings and updates and managed to sell my property really quickly.
The move manager Irene is key in keeping all the moving parts going forward. She is also very supportive during what can be an anxious time.
I would 100% fully recommend the Stanmore branch.

Quick sale and efficient to have separate Move manager to see through process to exchange.

I went through Gibbs Gillespie for my new property and they were not at all professional. It looked like they’re only bothered about letting out properties and once they let it, they don’t bother to support. Particularly to name here is Grace who is disguise for Gibbs. Her behaviour was extremely rude over the phone and then she tells Marks who calls me and start bashing me for being rude to his staff and disconnected the phone. He didn’t even had a courtesy to listen the other side of the story and he calls himself as a manager. Later when it come to leaving the property, Mark did not cooperate even at all which felt like it was more personal issue rather than showing professional behaviour.

Terrible letting agents. I have been with gibbs for over 10 years as a landlord and the past few years the service has gone downhill. Unprofessional and would not recommend.

I have found Josh to be very professional and always available on the phone if I have any queries or concerns.
I'm very happy with the photos taken of the house they're very well presented and shows off the properties potential.

The process has been pretty poor from the start, especially with communication. I asked to add updated photos, which were never done, and the agents showing the property didn't explain all the features of the property to potential buyers.
The move managers communication has been poor throughout and even yesterday when I called the office to ask for the move manager, I was told I would get a call back but have not had a call back. This seems to have been the experience throughout the process and I feel very disappointed with the overall experience with Gibbs Gillespie as I thought I had signed up to a reputable estate agent.

I was renting a property for 3 years. The service received was horrendous. I had a leaking roof for 3 years. (I lived in a flat in the 4th floor) when it would rain there would be a constant leak from the spot light. Yet nothing more than an engineer coming to look at the light was done.
Because of this dangerous risk I had removed the light bulb to stop a short circuit and potential being electrocuted. They tried to charge me to put the light bulb back in. They didn’t even want to rectify the issue for the next tenants.
Be careful when leaving the property they are looking for any excuse to retain your deposit.
I had the apartment professionally cleaned, however there was a bit of dirt on the counter in the bathroom after emptying the property and they were trying to charge me over £270 for this.
They have been prolonging giving my deposit back. I received my deposit over 2 months after I moved out.

Harry Rai is the ultimate proof that a good salesperson is not a person that just sells.
In our latest viewing, Harry invested time, knowledge, experience and empathy to understand our needs and help us find a new home.
We are so grateful to him, to David and to Gibbs Gillespie.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Leah and Rohan at the Ealing Broadway Gibbs Gillespie branch for their outstanding support throughout our flat purchase. Despite the complexities involved in the transaction, they maintained excellent communication, keeping us informed at every stage. Their professionalism, knowledge, and dedication made what could have been a stressful experience much smoother. We truly appreciate their hard work and would highly recommend their services to anyone looking to buy or sell property.
We would also like to thank Irene, the Move Manager, for her invaluable assistance in coordinating the final steps of our move. She worked closely with the solicitors on both sides, ensuring everything stayed on track and deadlines were met.

Josh Hardy is the worst estate agent I have ever met in my life. He has no communication skills whatsoever.
Mon the most important day, the day we exchanged, I called the office 4 times and did not reach Josh, nor did I receive a call back.
Throughout the sale process I received no active phone calls for feedback and viewings, unless I called.
I would not list my house with Gibbs.
I even raised a formal complaint that has not been resolved to my satisfaction.
