I was absolutely terrified before doing…
I was absolutely terrified before doing my Top up course. I have never so quickly been put at ease by our instructor Jean Mercure. The way he explains everything it is very well catered for all learning abilities. He takes the extra time for each person.
You can tell he is very knowledgeable but he also enjoys his job and that 1000% shows. If i have to book any courses in the future I would hope he will be my trainer again.
I can not praise him enough and i am very grateful for all his help and Patience.

A very honest review :)
I was dreading completing my DS top up course as a classroom environment is very much out of my comfort zone. There was also a venue and instructor change which added extra anxiety. On arriving at the course though we were instantly put at ease by meeting Jean (J). He is such a lovely down to earth guy who is incredibly knowledgeable and seems to genuinely love his job. He cares passionately about teaching the correct procedures and helping us get them right.
This personally meant a lot as it now means I would potentially look forward to a refresher course in the future if I knew I had booked it with Jean.
I honestly cannot fault the course venue or the teachings of the instructor. Highly rated and would definitely recommend.

Great course, really inciteful, our trainer was really good at his job, explaining everything along the way making sure everybody in the class understood all the way through and gave us a good sense of team work, as well as the confidence to be working alone in the industry. On the fifth day Frances joined us for our assessments. Straight away I could tell this lady is a force! Very firm but for and helpful. All in all a great experience, woke up to a pass so I'm happy to have my first foot in the door. Recommend to anyone to get the CV booster (I also purchased the CCTV course with them), as I think I would prefer to use these guys for all my training in the security sector.
Our adjudicator Ali on the Saturday was a great guy also, very friendly, explained the process for doing the exams on my phone so it was easy and I just generally felt like I wasn't under any pressure which I think was important. Can't wait to progress further and looking forward to doing my C.P. course with get licenced in the near future too. Thank you guys and all the best to you!

Gavin Shiels and Shaun Ogden Security Instructors
Gavin Shiels was my main instructor at the beginning of the door supervisor training, he was very enthusiastic and zealous about the weeks ahead and the activities he had planned for me and other people on the course, he walk through the task patiently such emergency first aid, searches, physical intervention, de-escalation techniques, special protected characteristics that had to be protected and awareness of risks , he used props as a way of demonstration too which kept me engaged.
Today day 5 I got to meet Shaun Ogden who introduced themselves as a second instructor to support the physical intervention, he made a good first impression and he was observed to be friendly and open to my questions and demonstrated stance we were learning typical to door supervisors that I was unsure of.
