Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. Ripped my wife and daughter off for $2500 to repair an ac issue, replaced a shifter that had no issues. Kept the car for weeks, gave it back with fingerprints all over the interior only to have to bring it back for the AC still not working. Then claimed it would be an additional $5k to solve the problem.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for work to be done on your car.

WHATZ REALLY GOING ON??

This has been my go to shop for a few years now, when my dealer is backed up....went from 10 🌟 to 2...

My intuition told me to do a drive by (as my Dad taught me to do) to check on my Porsha Cayenne...

I found out that my car had gotten Broken Into and Ramshacked because they left the car doors 😡PEN?!?

NO SURVEILLANCE ON THE GATED LOCKED FENCE?!

Because they didn't want to have to pay for broken windows?!?

But my WHOLE car could have been stolen!!

Mind you...My car isn't some Random everybody got the Same Basic Color Combo car like every body else either...

This color combo was a Cherry picked HARD find (9 months) shipped in from Boston Massachusetts...

That this shop would've had to pay for an exact match had it been stolen!!

ALSO...

I have been having trouble with the battery for several months now. I have to jump a NEW battery every few days...

The battery is replaced and a few days later I have to jump it again?? Apparently the Brand is not the Original Brand that came with the Porsha Cayenne??

Since this BADD EXperience, I will no longer leave my car there unless...it is INSIDE the building with SURVEILLANCE or I will take my car home until the parts come in...THEN...bring it back for them to work on it...

ALSO...I have been waiting almost 3 months to get a part from the dealer to guess what...fix my door handle because someone tried to steal my car!!

And I brought it to this shop and somebody broke in it!!!

Also they NEVER secure the battery compartment back under my seat where the battery is taken out of.

Now I am afraid my driver's seat is going to stop working!!

And they take my plastic off of my seats and leave their grunge dirty black finger prints ALL over on my LIGHT Interior!!

I just wouldn't

I was advised by two garages, that I had to go a specialist BMW garage to get my rear differential seal replaced, due to the complex part, as it had a small oil leak.

I then found this garage local to me, and dropped it in for the seal to be changed - for a cost of around £500 - which I didn't mind paying, due to it being a 'specialised garage'

The next day after getting it back, driving my car to work, the Diff started making a loud whirring noise, so I took it back to the garage, they looked into it no problem.

They then informed me, The whole Diff has broken, and needed a whole new replacement. Quite confused how I had only driven around 20 miles and the whole thing had broken from a replacement seal.

So I then got quoted from them, this would be another £500 - with a 2nd hand Diff.
Agreeing to this, as I couldn't afford to spend anymore.
Altogether £1000 for a diff seal - to stop an oil leak.

Can't fault the customer service though, he was sympathetic, but I can't help there's always been something not quite right about the job and how 20 miles of driving can break a whole diff from a seal replacement.

I understand these things can go wrong, however I won't be returning to your business - and I wish you all the best for the future.

Can you really substitute a main dealer quality and service?

After requesting a quotation for discs and brake pads from a German auto centre, the quote arrived a day later without issue. However, upon reviewing the pricing, it turned out to be only marginally better than what the local Mercedes dealer was offering. When discussing the matter with the dealer, they pointed out a compelling benefit: Mercedes Sheffield includes 12 months of free roadside assistance with any repair, regardless of the cost.

This highlights a significant advantage in favor of the main dealer. Not only do you get the assurance of genuine parts and the expertise of a trusted service provider, but you also receive added value at no extra cost. In this case, the combination of competitive pricing and complimentary roadside assistance makes the dealer's offer a far superior choice overall. I tried them a year ago but there was no reply perhaps that would have been better in this case.
Thank you for your prompt response. I think your reply outlines your priorities perfectly if you want cheapness use German auto is the one for you. save the one-year-old BS

Thank you for your response. I’m disappointed to see that you feel my feedback is unjustified, especially since I’ve made an effort to express my concerns honestly. I understand running a business is difficult, but as a customer, I also expect to be treated fairly and with respect when voicing my experience.

I did indeed leave a review based on my perception of the value offered, and I stand by my opinion. I do not believe I’ve been malicious or petty, but rather that I was giving constructive feedback based on my experience with your service. My goal was never to target your business specifically but to share my genuine perspective.

As for the comparison with other garages, I would expect each business to offer competitive pricing and value based on its own merits. My decision not to return to your garage wasn’t intended as a personal attack; it was simply a reflection of what I felt was the best option for my needs.

I respect your request not to contact your garage for future work, and I will, of course, respect that boundary. I would hope that in the future, all feedback—positive or negative—is met with an open mind, as it can help improve services for everyone.

Do not trust the management there

Do not trust the management there. I'm telling you I took my car there to get a basic service check. Nothing was wrong with my car. They broke my car (brake line of all things) to charge me an astronomical service charge to fix what they broke. Went in on Monday, had to take it back on Wednesday to get charged another service fee. Women especially, run.

Audi oil change on…

Dropped my car off for an oil change on my 2015 Audi A6 Prestige. I was quoted $159 with a coupon on their website. They said it would done be by the end of the day.

I received a phone call and the service guy said it would be over $200. He said my car takes 8 quarts. The manual says 7.2 quarts. I told him I have never paid over $170 for an oil change from my regular shop.

German Auto Center charged me $184. They added some charges other than tax. The coupon states up to 7 quarts. My oil gauge showed about a quart low not very close to full as it should have been. The shop did not reset my maintenance light. I wonder what else they might not have done.

I used to bring my Mercedes into them and thought they were reliable. I will not stray from my Audi shop in Austin again- Brink Motorsports.

Customer service Awful

Have taken BMWs to German Auto in the past and have been happy with quality of work. However, recent attempts to obtain quote for work were met with rudeness, as front desk staff can’t seem to have no time for you if they are a little busy. This experience has turned me off for life and I won’t be returning… a shame as previous experience was good.

GREAT REPAIR SHOP!!!

I took my Mercedes to German Auto for some service work. I was very pleased with the service I received from the staff. They were very friendly, honest, and did the right work for my car!! They rate A+++++ with me.
