I am very happy to share my experience of the London Gastroenterology Centre where I saw Professor Lovat. The centre is very clean and the staff at reception were friendly and welcoming. Everything was explained clearly.

Professor Lovat was extremely pleasant to meet. He clearly has a passion for his work. He was very interested in my relevant medical history and was very thorough and patient.
I learnt a great deal in my consultation. and Professor Lovat was happy to explain all my layman questions with a lot of charm and in an unhurried manner.
I would not hesitate in recommending the centre and Professor Lovat.

I am very pleased to have chosen Professor Lovat for a consultation on Gastric Reflux problems I have been suffering from. His suggestion of performing an endoscopic procedure to attach a monitoring device has proven to be very successful, not at all invasive and provided the added benefit of identifying a nodule which required further investigations. In particular, I have enjoyed the very pleasant manner in which the consultation and the procedure was carried out. I would certainly recommend Professor Lovat to my dearest friends and family.

I went to see Professor Lovat for a second opinion on my symptoms and am very glad I did. I felt comfortable with him immediately and trust his advice completely. He took time to explain my issues and discussed the various treatment options thoroughly. His PA is also extremely helpful and efficient. I would highly recommend them.

Professor Lovat is very professional and caring consultant. He spent the time to listen and understand the problem with extreme patience as we were trying to translate all the symptoms as well as tests carried out in a foreign language (Greek). His approach is very thorough and he does not recommend any unnecessary tests.

Professor Lovat and Ms Guilfoyle were also extremely understanding and accommodating when we missed our appointment due to a misunderstanding of the location of the appointment. They both did their best to reschedule the appointment on the same day which was extremely important for us as the patient was visiting London only for a few days.

Overall, very happy with the service we received and will visit again for a follow-up consultation. Highly recommended.

Friendly and efficient services provided by all staff

I had stomach issues for sometime after a bit of food poisoning in India. I decided to go to Professor Lovat for treatment. He was systematic and very thorough. He listened to my concerns patiently, and explained procedures and possible diagnoses to me in layman's terms. He did not conduct any unnecessary tests and gave me his diagnosis with brutal honesty, which was fantastic.

I must admit his sense of humour appealed to me and made the entire process quite stress free. I think he is, by far, the best gastroenterologist I have consulted.

I am very happy with the care I received. It was thorough and v professional . Mr Lovat made me feel at ease and very comfortable during my procedures. I have left thankfully with piece of mind. My bookings were arranged very quickly and I was provided with all the information I needed. His secretary was very efficient and friendly. I was v impressed with the service I received. I would definitely recommend Mr Lovat .

Professor Lovat is the most diligent and professional consultant. He diagnosed me when another consultant was unable to. He has a lovely “bedside manner”. I have already recommended him to several people. His medical secretary is fantastic. Nothing phases her and she is also hugely professionally, whilst at the same time, being a lovely, caring person.

Great service and amazingly competent Pr Lovat

I found my experience at the London Gastroenterology to be excellent. After 5 months of negative experiences with my GP i contacted the LGC; the administration team gave me availability for a number of Drs and their Bio's. I chose Dr Sweis and I was not disappointed. Dr Sweis has been a calming and reassuring no -nonsense, honest Consultant who through a pragmatic approach managed to get to the bottom of my issues in 2 weeks. The nurses at the LGC are empathetic and professional. Alexandra has been a huge support in booking all my appointments and ensuring i am clear on all the procedures. Very happy with my care.

Wonderful doctors and exceptionally kind and efficient administrators. The lovely Debra is a model of what a medical secretary should be. Dr Rehan Haidry is a very fine gastroenterologist whose clinical knowledge and expertise is only surpassed by his caring manner.
