Darien was running a little late but he messaged to give me a revised ETA, on arrival he got straight to work, tapped on my window on completion and the car looked as new. Poor guy, it was relatively... See more

I'm very disappointed with the repair work done recently by a Fresh Car technician. There were some scratches and dents in the side of my car which he said he could fix. On 3rd June he and a colleague worked on the car outside my property from 9.30 until about 7. When looking over the car at the completion of the work, unfortunately it was pouring with rain and poor light so I could not see it that well. The repairer showed me a section where he said the paint had "reacted badly" to filler underneath, which I didn't understand as I've never previously had work done on this car. He then said it was something to do with how Nissan paint their cars so only their own products work on them, which seemed questionable. He knew this was a Nissan car before taking on the job so should have flagged up that this paint issue could have happened - also why did the paint "react badly" only in these patches? I could see that there were discoloured patches that didn't match with the rest of the paintwork which looked awful and I expressed my concern; he said it wasn't his fault. We agreed he should knock off some more from the final amount but he said he could only reduce it by £50. I could also see in the poor light that they had not left the car to a professional standard - the parts they had worked on were covered in white dust or residue. The payment of £900 was made and they left.
But when I inspected the car the next morning it seemed a really over-inflated price for what they had actually done. The discoloured patches looked really bad and would need redoing - on closer inspection the paint was bubbled and rough, not smoothly blended with the other paintwork. And again on close inspection, the other repainted parts don’t even look exactly the right colour and they also seem matt and bumpy/bubbled, not smooth and shiny like the rest of the car. (I have photos and a video I have taken to show this.) I left a negative review (although factual like this one) and complained to Fresh Car the next day and said I wanted a full refund of the £900 I paid for the repairs. The repairer phoned me and said that he had been negotiating with “head office” and all they could offer was £500. I said I wasn’t happy with this and thought that I was entitled to a full refund as I wasn’t happy with the job and he had effectively damaged my car. He said that this was the highest he could go and I accepted under protest as I had to return the vehicle to the leasing company the following week and knew I would incur penalty charges for this poor paintwork. The repairer also said that to receive the refund I would have to remove the negative review from the Fresh Car website, which again I questioned but he said it was as a condition of receiving the money.
Since, as anticipated, the inspection from the leasing company identified the work as “poor repairs” (in fact the assessor said this was some of the worst paintwork he’d ever seen), they incurred penalty charges to the amount of £675. I have subsequently written to the repairer to request a further refund, with a court case to recover the money and charges being the next step. Fresh Car have not been helpful and have only said I need to resolve the issue with the repairer, although they are the company I originally booked the repairs through and who gave me his name and details.

Booking the appointment was really straightforward. I have used fresh car previously. The valater turned up on time . I had the signature valet with an engine bay clean ... The attention to detail is second to none . Bear in mind it's a valet not a detailing . The car has never looked better . The engine bay , interior, bodywork looks like new . That fresh car . I'm sorry I don't recall the valaters name .

Julian was really friendly and worked hard during a very hot day. Both our cars look brand new, really happy with the result and will use Julian again in future.

All in all I’m quite satisfied. The only thing that has been missing is the internal ceiling, that unfortunately wasn’t touched at all. This is something that should have been cleaned.

My car was supposedly cleaned at a cost of £100. The doors, boot and bonnet recesses were missed. A squashed fly on the inside of my windscreen remained, and the interior screen surfaces were full of bleary grease. Three days after the so-called cleaning, I received a customer satisfaction email, which I duly completed with some criticism. Apparently if the criticism is received outside of 48hrs, it’s disregarded and Freshcar declined to put things right. Why ask for feedback if it’s going to be disregarded? I shall not be returning for more - I get a better job at the local hand car wash. I suggest you give them a wide berth.

The service was quick and very efficient. Darien was early, which was a bonus, and reacted well to the fact that the car had to be valeted away from my home (but nearby).
I'm very impressed with the set up he had, which gave me confidence in the job he did.
