There is so many things I can say about Fred, but I won’t waffle on, just one word amazing.

I had a lovely holiday aboard the Balmoral the staff were so welcoming and made every one feel at home. I greatly enjoyed the trips which were organised by the company the highlight of my holiday being a helicopter ride which i will never forget.The entertainment was first class and the lectures were excellent.Thank you all for all of this.

My first cruise with Fred was very enjoyable, excellent ship and crew, lots of great memories. Interesting ports and I enjoyed all entertainment, including Brass Band Concerts and Irish Dancers. I especially chose this cruise for ballroom dancing but found the dance floors in Ocean Room and Observatory quite small, tables on dance floor did not help, disappointed that Neptune not available. All 4 Dance Hosts and Synergy excellent to dance to, Dance Couple not so good, it was better when they were unavailable!

The entertainment was much better, only 2 ify nights with a comedian. Would be great if this was 0.
Dinning - food and service is great but set times and allocated tables are awful.
The selection of wines on the Freedom fare is extremely limited and a bit poor.
Glad to see tips are now included in fare.

Great itinerary. Attentive friendly crew. Fantastic food and amazing entertainment.
Lovely ship, plenty of amenities. Plenty of space per passenger. Roomy cabin comfy beds plenty of storage.

Great cruise round Ireland. Fabulous food and service. Staff were amazing, as always.

Just a great experience from start to finish. The staff on the ship were incredible especially Jhameel and LP our waiters at table 74 in the evenings. I would definitely recommend Fred Olsen.

Great ship fantastic crew, nothing is to much trouble for the crew on this ship.
We celebrated an 18th birthday on board Harold, Dimas and Rodrigo in the Terrace restaurant made it a really special night along with other waiters who sang happy birthday.
The crew work very hard and are always happy to help with a smile.

We loved the evening entertainment, lectures, choice of activities whilst at sea, choice of food at the buffet restaurant (about 10 different desserts), friendly staff, the way the schedule was adapted so that people could watch the World Cup semi final and final.

The only negative was the inflexible policy regarding wheelchairs - not able to be brought onto the ship unless you have an adaptive cabin. Even if you say the wheelchair is only for use in ports, not on the ship. We booked the cruise over 18 months ago. We didn’t know at that time how much my 90 year old mother’s mobility would deteriorate.

Balmoral is a wonderful ship. We have been on it three times now. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and the entertainment is excellent. There is a great range of itineries and we only have to travel to Rosyth to board the ship.
I highly recommend Fred Olsen.

The choice of destinations and location of trips available. The food and the choice of having two places to eat. As a solo traveller I did not feel uncomfortable at all in any of the areas of the ship.
I enjoyed the shows and variety of the entertainment. The staff were attentive and helpful when I wasn't happy with my meal.

The service staff did a perfect job. They were friendly, discreet, and sometimes good-humored.
I was particularly pleased with the menu selection. It was touching that on the last day, the head waiter treated my family to a bottle of delicious wine. Thank you!
For someone like me, who works in a constant whirlwind of children, these few days were especially relaxing, with their quiet and the leisurely pace of the retirees. The ship was relatively small, so it was easy to get from one place to another. I liked that on this ship I didn’t feel pressured to buy drinks at the bar—the waitstaff weren’t pushy. Compared to my trip last year, it was a huge positive surprise that we could enjoy wine with our meals. I own my own winery, so it was a pleasant surprise to find high-quality wines served at the ideal temperature.

Everything was excellent, the food, service, drinks, shows and cleanliness. All the staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

I relax as soon as I board the ship! Everything is so clean and well presented. The staff immaculate in their dress and so friendly - very professional. The food is fantastic. Everything is organised at each port for any eventuality. Plenty to get involved in including a brilliant show every evening. If you want to do your own thing there is plenty of quiet areas too! What more do you want!!

I’ve cruised a lot but this was good. Mainly with very large ships. I enjoyed Olsen’s small ship vibe;it works. Not crowded,food excellent, comfortable lounges, nice cabin, superb staff.

I loved travelling with Fred for the second time. The staff are outstanding, friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional and the entertainment was varied and fun. The whole experience was wonderful.
