The ship, the crew, the food , the entertainment and the shore trips

Excellent customer service. Lovely communal areas. Great poolside fish and chips (staff slightly grumpy). Great spa. Cabin carpet could do with replacing. Excellent show cast. Boarding at Liverpool was hellish, this needs to be improved, especially for disabled folks. Lovely main restaurant staff.

It was a wonderful experience. I took my 11year old grand daughter for her very first cruise and she loved it. The staff were great with her friendly and helpful. She loved the shows, the food,the whole ambience of the ship and the pool. I have done many "Fred" cruises and now my grand daughter looks like she will follow suit.

Ship was beautiful, staff were pleasant and efficient.
Food was very good.
Cabin was nice and roomy but the double bed (two singles pushed together as usual) was equiped with two single douvets! !!
A library would have been nice. Trips ashore were expensive.
Overall very nice.

2nd cruise with Fred Olsen and I can’t fault it. Staff amazing, food amazing, great atmosphere.

We had a lovely cruise, the two ports were great, the shuttle buses were fab, everything about it was excellent, just had a leaking shower but I reported it so hopefully it will be properly sorted for other passengers 😊. The entertainment was vastly improved, we were on a cruise with you last month and were somewhat disappointed with the Bolette Theatre Entertainment but this time is was splendid and much enjoyed 😊 .

Fruit Basket I had to ask 4 consecutive days to be replenished.

Dinner 6pm setting was inconsistent service incorrect cutlery leaving food going cold.

Great ship with good sized cabins, many excellent dining venues all day long plus excellent theatre shows and great staff, particularly the medical centre whom we had cause to use.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly and amazing food. Will definately holiday with Fred Olsen again. Thank you

Staff and excellent service and food

The friendly atmosphere onboard was superb. The staff were amazing. They all worked so hard to make all passengers comfortable. The food in all areas was of great quality.

Each and every single staff member is a credit to the company. Nothing is too much trouble and done with genuine smile. Special thanks to Regina from housekeeping and Jude, Rony, Abigail and Nkihil from the morning light bar who served us throughout the cruise with such kindness. Will definitely be returning in the near future

This is the first time we’ve travelled with Fred Olsen cruises and we have to say this was the best experience ever.
We are well travelled cruisers and we’ve used several different cruise lines but without a shadow of a doubt this cruise and ship were outstanding.

Very relaxed atmosphere on board !

Our cruise with Fred Olsen to the Fjords was very good. The service from the crew in the dining room and the house keeping staff was of a high standard and they were communicative and helpful. The food was first class.

We thoroughly our Fred Olsen cruise from Rosyth to Norway in July. Check in was incredibly quick and smooth and within a short time we boarded the Balmoral and went straight to the dining room for lunch and our holiday started. Beats an airport any day!

The service was outstanding in every department. The staff work so hard to give the guests a great experience. The food was delicious, the entertainment excellent and there was plenty of on board activities to enjoy each day. The talk about Norway was a highlight and I enjoyed a couple of craft classes. The bars all have a nice atmosphere with great musicians playing in the background and loved the spectacular views when sailing.

We liked the small ship vibe as it didn't seem too busy at any one time. We didn't book any tours as they are expensive on top of the price of the cruise. In Alseund there is a tourist information office and we booked a walking tour for a good price and it was really interesting and in Olden there is a road train that takes you around the local area to get good good photos at scenic spots - defo worth doing this.
