We had a lovely experience with the Elephant and Castle Office. Nicolas Pickersgill helped us find the perfect flat in a record-breaking time. He explained the entire process to us with professionalism and care, and we felt supported throughout our research and past the move-in date. I've used Foxtons to let my property multiple times, but this is where the relationship ends.

When my tenant left early, Foxtons themselves confirmed in writing that I was owed £2,073.66 in unused commission — no argument there. The problem was what came next: they refused to actually pay it, insisting it could only be issued as a "credit" against a future Foxtons instruction. Given I'd already re-let the property myself, that credit was worthless — Foxtons' proposal was, in effect, to keep money they admitted wasn't theirs, unless I gave them more business.

What followed was weeks of chasing: vague holding replies, a wrong clause cited to justify the refusal, an "I'll come back to you" that took over a week to materialise, and multiple deadlines that came and went without a response. I had to set out my legal position in detail, cite the relevant clause in Foxtons' own terms, and threaten court action before anyone took it seriously.

The one bright spot: Ranjit Singh was consistently helpful and professional throughout, and was part of finally getting this moved toward resolution when others were slow to respond. Credit where it's due. He definitely gets 5 Stars!

But the process itself shouldn't require this much persistence to get money Foxtons never disputed owing me. If you're a landlord, go in with your eyes open — and keep a paper trail.

I have been working with @foxtons for a few years now. Particularly with their Elephant and Castle Lettings Manager Ranjit Singh who has made renting out my property via Foxtons super easy. He's knowledgeable, efficient, down to earth and most importantly - get things done without fuss. If you need support, ask for Raj!

Absoutely terrible service from thesefrom start to finish. Lettings Team in Canary Wharf are useless, not able to complete the basic parts of their jobs and will lie when called out on it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Crouch End Lettings is excellent. I’ve used them for some years now and they are always on hand and helpful. Sanaa & her team are no exception. How much prefer to deal with them than their back office which sometimes can be quite slow to respond. If this is the case then the Crouch end team are always willing to help and get things turned around for me usually within the same working day.
