My experience was really great! The only issue is that the gears on my bike need adjustment. Although they recommend that you have a bike tune up after riding it several kilometers anyway.

Still havent recieved my ordered bike. Its been a month almost....

Visited the koblenz store as I had a problem with my bike stand. Initially assisted by k Sanmer-Schmeiclas who was very helpful. Then I was helped by Partrick Tamares. Wow. Together they repaired my bike stand. After the repair the stand was working correctly. Fantasic, wonderful helpful and knowledgeable staff. The company are very well served.

I have been their customer and leased and bought a bike from them; both were fine. However, the online shop and specially the helmet quality is terrible. They have sent me bunch of faulty broken helmets and made extra work for me to just send them back. And sending back items without printer is also not possible since you need to print out the paper for sending back!

The problem with my newly bought bike has been solved rapidly, so far.

Becouse my sons bike was stolen I wanted to replace his bike a.s.a.p. so he could continue riding tracks with his club.
To buy a new MTB in holland however without having to wait months to get the bike, is impossible.
Since I find it important he actually tries te bike as well before buying- we decided to go to Germany as soon as the covid guidelines allowed us again.
We felt like being in a candy store at Fahrrad XXL in GelsenKirchen. They have plenty of bikes- offering choice of preferred bike, bike fitting and riding it on the indoor course. In the past this was normal- though after browsing the empty dutch shops and spending whole mornings calling the smaller bike shops to find -a- bike, we're more than happy to now have found -the- bike (different size frame btw after driving then all the advices gave- see how important this is).

Now- coming to the service, this could be better;
I did my research in advance, knowing which bikes to look for in the shop. If I would not have done this I would not have found the right bike!
At one point we where doubting, so I asked if we could have advice on which bikes had a single front blade with minimum deore fittings. I was told to just look around and see for myself (we where there already for a while and already had contact). Now, to see in a line up of bikes if they for example have Deore or Acero- is just impossible (for me at least). Also we spend most of our time waiting to be helped so this should definitely improve.
With the waiting times in between we ended up to close to closing time to have the bycicle installed properly and were told to do it at home. (due to traffic jams we arrived at the store at 18:30, even though we had huge delay getting there, this should've left enough time to give full service since store closes at 20:00).
Now at home (NL), we're not able to figure everything out and will need to take the bike to a local store to get it installed properly paying 70eur- or drive again to Germany.

So- are you in special need of a good collection of bikes and are you doing your own research in advance? Go there (or order online if you live in Germany).
Are you looking for good advice as well? Then maybe reconsider.

I received a bike with a faulty front brake = poor installation + quality control before shipment.
I didn't receive any response to my emails and calls for 10 days = not very effective customer service.
Eventually, they began responding to my emails and assisted me to fix the problem.
In short, a stressful experience at first, but it's OK in the end.

Shocking customer care!
They're close to impossible to reach by phone (10+ tries, and 20min wait) or email (3days wait).
They offer no help to sell their superbike top-end models from a distance, cannot buy them online, but when I called they are also not willing to sell it directly...nor book the bike for me.
I offered PayPal, Visa etc. nothing...
They are not willing to ship it to another XXL store either (despite the XXL website claims)
I was simply told to travel down (10hrs in my case!) to find that maybe the bike is gone, as they will not keep the bike separate for me.
This goes against any proper customer care, especially for +7.5k euro bike, clearly they are not interested in selling bikes at this time....terrible attitude. Let them go out of business asap pls.
