No phone access to customer services…
I wanted to contact Experian and was given an 0800 number for Customer Services, however it transpires that you cannot speak to them now unless you pay £14.99 a month.
I signed up for this service and was then able to ring and speak to an Agent….he was very helpful and answered the question I had in a courteous and professional manner.
It seems a bit naughty to have enlist as a full member to speak to someone.

Experian customer services are very unhelpful and repeatedly send the same macro, never addressing the actual query.
A creditor had issued a correction on my credit report, to which they said would take a few days for Experian to update. After a few days I contacted Experian to ask if they had received it - apparently the hardest question ever for them to answer.
They kept responding over what my last update was, I asked for simple clarification - was this the update or was this the correction - same macro, no new information. Submitted a complaint - no response - just a request to review them on trustpilot.
You can call them, but only if you subscribe to their service, which is £14.99 a month.
To put customer service behind a paywall is diabolical - this is surely a regulation breach.
I asked them to call me 5 times, when they’ve FINALLY replied they said they will pass it to someone who will be in touch in 5 days. Absolutely ridiculous.

I can understand how receiving frequent notifications can become frustrating, especially if you don't find them useful. If you'd prefer fewer updates, you can manage the notifications you receive through your account settings and adjust them to suit your preferences.
I also appreciate your comments regarding the cost of a subscription. While some features are included with our paid memberships, you can still access your Experian credit report and score free of charge with a free Experian account. Our paid memberships are entirely optional and may not be the right fit for everyone.
You can also request a free Statutory Credit Report from our website at any time.

I was very impressed with the speed of the reply and the explanation which made it easy for me to know what was needed to be done by me. Even gave me the phone number to contact the 3rd party which was very helpful.

My call handler was excellent. Clear communication and clearly cared about his job and resolving my issue.
I don't remember his name but he should definitely get a praise and some kind of bonus
