I have been using the Eurail Pass for many years whenever I travel across Europe for business, and it has consistently made my journeys hassle-free. My business trips usually involve very hectic travel schedules with multiple train journeys, and the Eurail Pass significantly reduces the stress and fatigue of planning and booking each trip individually.
The mobile app is intuitive, easy to use, and extremely convenient. Being able to manage my pass and add journeys on the go makes traveling seamless. Overall, the Eurail Pass is an excellent choice for anyone looking for flexible, comfortable, and efficient train travel across Europe.

Do Not Buy! I am a returning costumer, I forgave abs didn’t turn in any issues I had for reimbursement. I really enjoyed the opportunity. However, that same Curtiss had not been returned when I did. They do not care about the individual customer at all, they have way to rigid rules and make no exceptions at all, not sure why they even have a help desk, when there is no help to give, their hands are completely tied. They don’t understand advertising, user experience or customer care. Maybe the worst company I have ever worked with, in that they will not work with you at all. RTT had to cancel their partnership with Eurail for this very reason.

Just got to Hamburg from Copenhagen. 6 hours late, missed my connecting train to Amsterdam. Cancelled our train in the middle of nowhere, no replacement bus services, no extra dB staff to help direct us, keep getting fobbed off by dB staff members when asking about refunds and compensation and eurrail were 0 assistance when trying to contact them for support, other than to say 'we can help you plan a new journey'. A new journey?? A new journey? Why would anyone want a new trip after that disgrace. People left standing in the rain for replacement services that never came, forced to crowd onto crowded local trains going way off in the wrong direction to find a way to Hamburg. Desperate people giving in and hailing Ubers at the cost of hundreds of dollars. And now if I want any compensation for my lost accomodation fees and day of my time, I've got to fill out some paperwork and send it off via snail mail.
Absolutely wretched way to travel and if anything goes wrong, and it will, eurrail will wash their hands of you.
I have filed a chargeback and will never use international euro rail again.
Hire a damned car.

Why, oh why isn’t there a human being you can talk toon the phone? My husband and I are travelling with Interail passes. Because of a train breaking down we were not able to use one travel day. We want to recover that day to use later in our trip. First I tried the bot: I had to provide a few details which was fine, then was transferred to a real human being. That person wanted specific screenshots relating to the lost day. That took a while and I had to leave the chat to do it. When I went back to the chat to provide the screenshots the chat had been closed. There had been a message asking was I still there, which of course I did not see because I was working on another screen. So I had to start all over again. I have wasted half an hour on this and now have to it all over again. To deal with a query that could have been resolved within five minutes by a real human being over the phone. I realise that my time and convenience don’t matter to Eurail. They are interested only in saving money by not employing human beings and by making the customer do all the work.
IMHO any organisation dealing directly with people should be required by law to provide telephone customer support with real human beings, 24 hours a day.
Sorry if that will cost you money, Eurail, but you are happy enough to take ours.

Excellent customer service. While the train systems used by the pass can sometimes be unreliable, Eurail itself has excellent customer service. They are quick to respond and very helpful.
I am part-way through using a pass and got injured. I cannot travel for a couple of weeks and they kindly extended the validity without much fuss once I provided a document.

Easy to use, comfortable seating, and easy to plan your trips. I love being able to plan the journey the day prior, so your travel day is simple and no stress. We choose the 1st class ticket so the direct regional trains were included in our ticket.

My husband and I activated a travel day on our passes and when we got to the train station we found out that all the trains to our destinatiin were canceled for the day. We had to take a flixbus. We sent screenshots and an explanation to Eurail and they kindly credited us with one day. We had such a positive experience. Thank you Eurail. Fyi, don't activate your travel day till you get to the statiin!

Awful! Opaque and confusing, spent more money than if I'd have avoided it altogether. Avoid.

It's not my fault that Norway was repairing rail tracks during our visit and couldn't use the pass while still paid for it. We had limited days to return back to United States, we should've been given partial refund, buying equal amount option for future use, cost me $400 extra last time too, which gives Eurail more money, sometimes you guys have to go above and beyond , that's what is called customer service in united states.

I am very unsatisfied with the customer service. App would not work on either of our phones in the UK, France or Italy. I contacted the customer service, continuously, through the app - IT IS A BOT. The EURAIL app is always down and would not activate passes. Major Technical Difficulties. EURAIL has refused to refund cost of EURAIL passes which amounted to 830 EUROS and remain unused.

I had 2 passes bought in the sales. In the rush of trying to leave home to catch the first of 9 trains on a 2 day journey ( stress levels already high ) I mistakenly activated both passes. I realised my mistake within 5 minutes & contacted Eurail because I couldn't deactivate one. Rediculously they couldn't either. Instead after much stress they've graciously allowed me to buy a new pass & once I'd got it, refunded me the old pass ( which I bought in the sale & at a better exchange rate 6 months ago ). So, I now have a 4 day pass that's cost me 44 euros more than the 5 day pass I originally had & a lot of stress because they have a system that can't deactivate unused passes & don't have the compassion to just issue a new like for like pass to replace the mistakenly activated one which they could check I haven't used ( since I was travelling on the other activated one ).

I reached out to customer service when my wife was diagnosed with cancer, we brought the passes for our 10th anniversary... i was asked to provide medical evidence and letters!!! As I had brought the passes in a spring offer they were not refundable whereas normal passes I'd have just lost 10%. I have more dignity that to ask my wife for evidence when it's the last thing she needs to worry about... Avoid a company who can't take the word of their customers!!!

Smooth booking of seat reservations, easy to find train schedules. App was able to pull tickets and reservations together efficiently.
Accidentally booked one day of travel and staff were very responsive to return the day and allow to book a different day of travel.

Very easy app to use. Always accurate.
Great customer service. An issue at there end was resolved within 15 minutes while we tried activating one of our passes. Was very impressive. Great job.

At the end of January 2026, I was informed by Eurail that I had been affected by a data breach, which, according to various sources, had occurred in December 2025. The breach involved, amongst other data, passport details, meaning this constitutes a serious form of identity theft.
I immediately requested information in accordance with Article 15 of the GDPR in order to quickly obtain clarity regarding the data collected or leaked in my case. To date, despite several enquiries, I have not received any useful information from the company. Communication by Eurail has been generally slow. For four months, I have been fobbed off with references to the special circumstances; unnecessary queries are being made about data that I had already provided when submitting my request. In light of this disaster - which is being discussed widely across Europe – I can only shake my head at how Eurail seems to be willing to accept a total loss of customer trust.
A quick search online reveals that my case is by no means an isolated one. Given the unprofessional handling of data protection issues, I can only strongly advise any potential customer against entrusting sensitive data to Eurail.
I have set Eurail a final deadline and am currently exploring how to take legal action jointly with other customers. (Any hint at/by legal services is appreciated!)
My advice: steer clear of a company that obviously ignores your legitimate data protection concerns!
horrible app very confusing and difficult to use . Whis there was another way to purchase pass to travel by trains in Europe...this is awful app don't waste your time snd money

This ticket is amazing value especially if like us you used it in the UK which is very expensive for rail travel. The freedom it gives you is unparalleled. We opted for First class which is well worth the extra expense as it delivers lots of extra benefits not just more space!
The only slight gripe is that the pass did not work at most of the ticket barriers in the UK and we had to show the pass to a ticket collector. No such issues on the train as scanning was fine. Have bought this pass multiple times now.
