If I could give a zero I would.

If I could give a zero I would. Gave them a try on free trail for a dollar canceled it the following day. Then find out they charged my credit card. And said that was a different program. Terrible South American customer service!. Like we need people from another country seeing our personal credit history. Caution read the fine print!!!!. They count on you not doing so.

Equifax, made me pay to get my credit freeze lifted.

I didn't get to talk to a real person. I had to pay and sign up to unfreeze my credit. Thats ridiculous having to pay to unfreeze credit when it was free to freeze my credit. A rip off for sure. I will definitely complain to the Attorney General and ask for a refund.

Why isn't eqifax working in the 21st century?
And be able to download and email said info.

If my info gets stolen in the mail eqifax needs to be totally responsible and pay .

Equifax makes it unnecessarily difficult

TransUnion and Experian made it so simple but Equifax makes you jump through so many hoops creating difficulties that are totally unnecessary.
If you want anything changed you have to get all kinds of paperwork together that if you don't have it they say you have to chase it down and get it.
Disgusting difficult for people with disabilities.

So incredibly disappointed, yet again

So incredibly disappointed. My husband has had nothing but issues with them. He changed his name, and instead of updating his account, they added a new account with the new name and didn't link the accounts at all. Now, when we try to verify any account via companies that use Equifax to verify, nothing matches, and we're locked out of accounts we pay for. For example, this morning, my husband had to buy a new phone, and our mobile service provider was unable to verify our account and switch his sim over due to Equifax's incompetence. When contacting Equifax, we were told it would take over 30 days to fix the errors on the account, despite the fact my husband had reported and lodged documents to rectify these 'errors' months ago. Hours on the phone led to nothing, and a supervisor wouldn't be called to escalate the issue. Time to start fixing the issues your staff create!

Big difference in reporting credit…

Big difference in reporting credit score. Considering legal action against this very bias company. There should not be 27 - 54 points ( lower in this instance ) difference between Equifax vs. Experian and Transunion. They cannot explain the difference when you call them.

Equifax gave scammers my info

Had a fraudulent account opened in my name and when I saw the details, the scammer obtained data from the Equifax leak to open the account.
How I know? The fraudster used an old phone number that would never have been use to register with any online entity anywhere. The only way for the fraudster to know that [disconnected] number is from a credit bureau.
Also, this company gets a [useless] fine for spamming people and still continues to spam people to this day. Look here: of all the marketing and spam emails I get in one day, NO OTHER COMPANY SENDS MORE THAN 1 MARKETING EMAIL A DAY...EXCEPT Equifax! Guaranteed SPAM 2 - 4 times daily.
Yes, you can unsubscribe, but you know you didn't subscribe to begin with; and maybe a credit bureau shouldn't behave worse than scammers? Maybe?
Thank you Equifax for exposing my data then trying to sell me useless services 3 times day.

This is the worst

This is the worst. It takes an act of God to cancel within the 7 day period. Good luck understanding customer service. It took a pair of phone calls to get it done. Inept, unprofessional, and without guidance. Don't walk from this company, run.

Equifax is a joke

Equifax is a joke! Half the time they don’t have your correct information and tank your score for no reason.
Banks even tell you now that their score isn’t reliable.
So disappointing.

A total waste of time and unprofessional

I have been dealing with Equifax and ClearScore since moving to my new address last October 2024. I have sent them numerous messages both of them regarding this. However, despite that as of today Monday, February 24, 2025 they have still not updated my credit report to reflect this. I have sent them letters from the council quite clearly stating that I am on the Electoral Register and they will still not update it. Totally and utterly incompetent and very unprofessional. A total waste of time.

Cannot trust Equifax credit report

There was no option to raise a request. I closed many of my loans 3 years before, and still it is not reflecting here. I trust CIBIL; there were a lot of options for individual users. My CIBIL score is 722, and Equifax here is showing 312, simply providing poor credit reports. Your company doesn't deserve 1 star either.

Equifax's customer service is terrible

Equifax's customer service is terrible, they make you wait for almost an hour and when they put you through to a representative they hang up the call and don't return it. You don't know if they really sent you to an advisor or if they are giving you very bad information. This agency has terrible customer services.

Misleading subscription charges

I signed up for a $1/month subscription. When I log into my account, I get a screen that shows my current product is a $1/month subscription. Today, I saw where Equifax has been charging me $19.95 per month for the subscription, even though the screen states clearly when I log in that it's $1/month. I called and was told that I "should have known" that the cost was not $1 and they would not refund the four months of unauthorized charges. I offered to send them my confirmation email and a screen capture of where my account shows $1/month as the price of my subscription, and they said that was not needed but also refused to refund the money. I had to request an escalation, explain everything again, and then the supervisor has now had to escalate it over to the billing department. I have a case number and they are "working on it," but I have not been issued a refund despite having a digital trail and proof that they are charging my card without my authorization or knowledge. I have spent almost two hours trying to correct charges that should never have been made. The entire practice is deceptive.

One star is being generous

One star is being generous - I've spent days trying to reach and then speak to customer support - I can't log into my account - they keep asking me for the answer to a security question that I never set up to begin with so can't
