DO NOT USE EDF

I was sent a link by EDF, to leave feedback here on Trustpilot. When companies send me these things immediately after speaking to them, I always give it a week or so to see if there are any further developments. And on this occasion, there’s certainly were. I’ve had a problem with EDF and they’re very high charges for electricity for some time, having involves OFGEM and the Citizens Advice bureau, I actually thought I was getting somewhere, because when I went onto the EDF app my account had gone from just over £100 in Credit to £317 in Credit and it was given an assurance over the phone that this was because they had overcharged me and had no corrected it. That was two days ago, I have now gone onto my account and I’m only £85 in Credit? So my question is what has happened to the £232 that was in my account, I’m assuming EDF I’ve just stolen it from me. I keep thinking they couldn’t become any more incompetent than they already were, it would seem I was wrong. So what I would say to anyone thinking of using EDF as your Energy supplier, I hope you don’t suffer from stress or anxiety, because I do and they have only made my situation worse. As a 67-year-old pensioner who suffers from anxiety issues, because of some major health problems, like a full double hip replacement et cetera, EDF and their incompetent antics are not helping at all. Having been to OFGEM and the citizens advice bureau I think I now have no choice other than to contact a solicitor and take legal action against them for the stress they have caused me. My Advice, if you’re thinking of using EDF. Don’t.
I have had to copy and paste this review from my previous review as clearly EDF have had some influence in not getting it published. Sorry I am going to try here again. Like I said, if you are thinking of using EDF don’t.

I don’t trust Trustpilot

I really don’t trust, Trustpilot. Very simply put, I have put a couple of reviews on here and one of them was for EDF the Energy company, a company with which I’ve had a number of problems for sometime now. My last review of this company still shows as pending. And my question is why is this still pending when I did the review last week, I am going to assume here that there has been some influence from the EDF company. And I didn’t think that companies were allowed to interfere with reviews. Either publish the review, or contact me and let me know why you have not published it. At least have the common courtesy to keep me updated.

Amazon driver is a total waste of time

Would give Amazon zero stars if I could. I’ve got a notification to say that the parcel was handed to the resident? That’s very interesting considering I wasn’t even home at the time, and now I can’t find out who they left it with. I think their drivers need to go on a customer service course, truly awful.

Going downhill

What has happened to Wetherspoons in Exeter? Went in there today for the first time in awhile and the place is filthy, tables are not wiped down, three of the four coffee machine machines are not working properly, and the staff are rude and very unhelpful. Not impressed at all would give it zero stars if I could.

Chopstix the WORST service I’ve ever received

I’d give this company zero stars if I could, just waited approximately 10 minutes to get served and the woman behind the counter of the Exeter store walked straight past me to serve the people behind me and when I asked if am I invisible she was extremely rude. I have no time for that kind of service from anyone I will never go in there again ever Horrible staff and terrible service.

Review of Hotel Chocolat

2nd class citizen

Disappointed in the Exeter branch. Been going in there for a while, but noticed they don’t treat all customers the same. Ordered coffee a few times and noticed that I have to wait at the counter, whilst others have it delivered to their table and today was the same, but to add insult to injury, the others were also getting free samples of stuff and I got nothing, it’s starting to feel personal. You SHOULD treat all customers the same. NOT impressed

Exeter Waitrose

I’m not sure what has happened to the Waitrose store in Exeter, or to be more precise the café at the store? The staff they had used to be helpful, polite and actually serve you when you were stood at the counter. They have now changed their staff and they seem to be younger and a lot more indifferent to customers, I stood at the counter and I was the only person there for over two minutes waiting to get served, or stay young lad messed about behind the counter stacking plates and messing around with glasses, et cetera. and didn’t have the common courtesy to say I’ll be with you in a minute, I eventually just got fed up and left and this is the second time this has happened. I’m not sure who’s training their staff but they need to much better job and teach them some manners because currently the two words customer and service most certainly do not apply to Waitrose. Not impressed at all.

Sky customer service

I’m not sure where SKY get their customer services team from, but they need to rethink their strategy on this particular issue. Spoke to a guy today who was extremely condescending and rude, in the end I’ll put the phone down on him, so he decided to leave me a snotty voicemail as he obviously wasn’t happy with me putting the phone down on him, having endured at least 20 minutes of his rude condescending attitude. I did eventually get to speak to a very nice lady who was very helpful, so we note to SKY, trainer customer service people better. Respect goes a long way.

Review of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Exeter branch hygiene

I’ve spoken about this before, but I’ve just been into the Exeter branch and a guy come in with his two kids and lifted them up and stood them on the counter where people are serving food and now here is my problem. Firstly no one told him to lift them off the counter and they stood there for a couple of minutes, with their shoes that have been stepping in God knows what for they came in here, secondly no one isn’t bothered to wipe the counter down afterwards or even thought about it and thirdly when I spoke to a member of staff about it regarding their hygiene standards, they looked at me as though they didn’t have a clue what I was talking about, not impressed at all

Review of Equifax

A total waste of time and unprofessional

I have been dealing with Equifax and ClearScore since moving to my new address last October 2024. I have sent them numerous messages both of them regarding this. However, despite that as of today Monday, February 24, 2025 they have still not updated my credit report to reflect this. I have sent them letters from the council quite clearly stating that I am on the Electoral Register and they will still not update it. Totally and utterly incompetent and very unprofessional. A total waste of time.

EBay scammers

I’ve never really used eBay and I can tell you one thing I certainly won’t be using it again. Ordered a black belt martial arts magazine from a seller, that was weeks ago and I’m still waiting for it and ask for this tracking nonsense, you can’t track anything. It just says it’s been posted. There’s nobody you can talk to or contact or COMPLAIN to or in anyway get any help from anyone. It would seem that eBay has a great deal of scammers who are stealing peoples money in return for nothing. I think legal action needs to be taken against eBay.

Not Costa effective

Went into the new Costa Coffee in Exeter today, which was a mistake, I have no idea where they are getting their staff or who is training them, all I can say is that they don’t have a clue what they’re doing. And as for the so-called manager there, he seriously needs to check his attitude, extremely rude and arrogant. Time for a reality check my friend, you are the manager of a coffee shop and not Donald Trump, Alan Sugar, or Richard Branson. So check yourself my friend, waited 15 minutes after my order to get a flat white and a mince pie, really not worth the weight in my opinion obviously I won’t be going back again

Find a professional, not these guys total waste of time

Yes I totally agree. The Samaritans is a sham, my father contacted him years ago and still ended up taking his own life. People need to understand that this is a money making charity and that the CEO makes a roundabout £137,000 a year. It’s about money pure and simple, so if anyone for one minute thinks that they are there to help you, they are not, they are there to make money, it’s a business everybody just understand that. They do not care at all. As a younger man I would give to charity very often, but now I never give to charity, ever, because once you realise the people that are running these scams are just out to make money and they try and guilt trip you into giving them your hard earned cash, well they won’t be getting any of mine that’s for sure. If I see someone in need, I help them directly, that that’s the best way to do it. All I will say is this, if you are feeling down and depressed, talk to a proper healthcare professional who is actually trained to deal with that sort of thing, Because these guys on the end of a phone are not gonna help you at all. Awful customer service from Sky

Well, it seems that I now need to add Sky to the list of companies who do not care about their customers, broadband has gone down this morning and I’ve been trying for two hours to contact somebody but they make it almost impossible to do so, in fact, I still haven’t spoken to anybody, even though I was on hold for 45 minutes, and in the end it just cut me off. Truly awful customer service, it would seem that most companies in the United Kingdom do not care about their customers and Sky is simply now on that list. Once they’ve got your money that’s all they care about, so I think I need to switch to another Internet provider, and yet another UK company that should never use the word customer and service in the same sentence because they truly don’t have a clue about either shocking.

OFGEM IS A DISGRACE

I can now see why Energy companies are not worried about people going to ofgem with their complaints, as I have contacted them myself and basically they told me there’s nothing I can do? Well actually there is, I have written about the company OVO and the one thing I can do is go on all of my social media platforms and warn other people about them, which I am now doing and strangely enough I’ve had some very interesting feedback from other people regarding OVO AND Ofgem. Very clearly these two groups are in each other’s pockets. and once again we see corruption that is so prevalent in other business interests in the United Kingdom. As another reviewer on here said in his post Ofgem are very clearly a total joke and both of these groups should be very careful on how they proceed, because from the feedback getting from other social media users about them and the total outrage about the profits they are making and the total disregard for customers, it’s very clear that the public are getting fed up and sick and tired of this constant profiteering from those who are struggling to pay bills. OFGEM, you should be ashamed of yourselves and the way you try to represent yourselves in the media to the public.

Well, yet another update about the gangsters otherwise known as OVO. I received my final bill from them today, even though I’ve already paid it and have the bank statements to prove that, £112.06 and £50 of that is an exit fee?? Like I said at the beginning a bunch of gangsters, con men, and scammers. I really do hope that people reading this take heed and have nothing to do with this company, as stated previously I have never had to deal with such an unscrupulous Company as OVO. And I give notice here on Trustpilot. that if OVO send me any more bills or any communication whatsoever, I will simply forward it to a solicitor.. DO NOT ever contact me again. I’m done with you and good riddance.

Scammers and con artists

Okay, so here goes, yet another update on my OVO problem. I had a phone call yesterday from a chap who said he was going to credit my bank account with £30 as a gesture of goodwill for the issues and stress OVO have caused me. However, I see that they have credited my OVO account instead of my bank. So I’m guessing that their next move is to send me a bill of some kind even though I’m no longer with them. As I stated before I’m retired I have nothing but time, so if these people want to mess with me as clearly they do, they can expect the same back. I see that their offices are in Bristol, so I might be getting in my car and taking a drive up there and they can deal with me in person if that’s what they want. They are a bunch of scammers and con artists and I would suggest that nobody ever do business with them.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER TRUST OVO

Whatever you do NEVER TRUST OVO. All we (you) are to them is an ATM (cashpoint) I’m now with EDF. But last week I was £30 in credit and today they told me my final bill is £112.06 ??? IN A WEEK?? They just make up figures out of thin air and expect you to pay it, so it’s not just the government stealing money from pensioners like me, it’s OVO as well. Without question THE very worst company I’ve EVER had to deal with, they don’t even have the common courtesy to call you when you ask them to, as I type this, I’m currently on hold waiting to speak to a ‘supervisor’ and I’m fully aware that they are just playing some kind of game, thinking I’ll just hang up (I won’t) I hate being ripped off and if this review helps someone else getting ripped off by this totally unscrupulous company it’s worth it. Good riddance OVO and if I EVER hear from you again, you will be hearing from my solicitor. Just a quick update, I’m still on hold and have been now for an hour and ten minutes, it’s a total joke. Well, a further update I stayed on hold, and OVO hung up on me, what a surprise NOT, they clearly can’t take criticism LOL! What a bunch of cowards.
So, another update regarding OVO, having paid them £112 yesterday, today I received a bill through the post for £28, these guys never quit, but that’s okay because neither do I and if they think they’re gonna get away with harassing me and constantly demanding money from me when I’m no longer with them they’ve got another thing coming , I know intend to post on every social media platform I have , I show you to speaking to Citizens Advice , I shall also be speaking to OFGEM. I’m a pensioner I’m retired and I have all the time in the world to make it this my life’s mission, to stop people getting ripped off by this unscrupulous company.
