The old Gas Meter had to be updated

The old Gas Meter had to be updated, which happened in June. The old unit was mounted into the wall. After the new unit was installed, a gapping hole in the wall was left. I've just been told that I am responsible to repair the wall, not Enercare! Why should I have to do this? And when the dug up part of my concrete patio, they used asphalt to repair it!!! Very, very angry!

Made a booking for an estimate on a new boiler purchase consultant 30 minutes late I tried to contact did not respond to text. I cancelled the appointment after 45 minutes of being late was told by customer service representative that I was to be flexible and allow for up to 45 minutes of lateness. I refuse to make such a big purchase with a company who does not respect my time as valuable.

This company maintained an invalid lien on our home

in 2017, we entered into a rental agreement with Enercare for an A/C unit. At the time, I was assured that I could buy out the unit at any time for the depreciated cost. The initial installation was professional, and the experience seemed positive. By 2019, we exercised that option and purchased the unit—again, a simple and professional transaction.

However, fast forward to 2026, during the sale of our home. Just one week before closing, our lawyer informed us of an undisclosed lien on our property for that same HVAC equipment, threatening the entire sale. When we attempted to resolve this, we were told that Enercare would not communicate with our legal counsel. Upon contacting their customer support, they admitted that a representative 'missed a step' in 2019 and failed to remove the lien from our title.

For seven years, this company maintained an invalid lien on our home without ever bothering to follow up or rectify their error. Furthermore, even after the Ontario government passed legislation in 2024 banning these types of liens, Enercare failed to proactively remove it. Their administrative negligence has severely compromised the sale of our home, and their lack of cooperation has been unacceptable. I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious when dealing with this company

I had an appointment with Barry on July 13th, 2026 in the morning, this person not only fixed my problem but also fixed another issue that the men who had installed the new furnace in December 2025, forgot to do. I would definitely recommend him, and he is definitely an asset to Enercare. Thanks again Barry for your excellent service.

-stars if it was an option

-stars if it was an option. This company is absurd. They issue your bill and then immediately start harassing you for the funds before the due date has even come up. If you call them they're rude, they talk over you and it seems like everyone who works there has an attitude problem. I've called because they billed me after I terminated my service 3 months prior and they're talking to me like I'm trying to pull a trick on them to get out of.....a $20 bill....lmao please! No I just wouldn't want to give this company 1 cent more than I had to they're awful.

Great company

Enercare is a great company for maintenance. I reported a slow leak and they sent their technician Russ C to carry out the job. Russ is a very efficient technician with great experience. He took time to fix the fault and went above and beyond to locate other areas that needed repair. He advised me further on things and put me through on how to order the furnace filter directly from the manufacturer since I was not able to purchase locally from other stores. So happy to have had him for my repair.

Annual AC Maintenance

The technician, David NGALLE, was very thorough and explained all he did and the results of his inspection. As all was passed, I am very happy to know that I'm good for another year. Thank you David.

Great service.

Our A/C would not start, on the thermostat I got a message to “call for service”. I went online and booked an appointment. The service technician came at the appointed time. He diagnosed our problem and in a mindful way proceeded to carry out repairs. He completed his work in a very efficient manner up and down the basement stairs and around the outside of the house to the unit. All the time in the 34C heat. I would give Enercare and especially the technician 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Very well done young man.

Enercare is the worst company ever!

I don’t know how they are still in business with how the customer service fails to fix billing issues. Supervisors never call you back.constant billing issues, furnace rebates never come. Victoria Tan is customer service officer. Try to call her…….. crickets. This company is fantastic at shielding themselves from the public. If I could get out of the rental trap I was mislead into I would. This leadership team is brutal! They have no idea what is happening to customers.

I have contacted Enercare several times and requested they stop sending me emails to receive different times of service. I have a water heater with them that I obtained the contract when I purchase our house. Every day I receive emails for their products - furance, air conditions, etc.
