I have 4 children all at different ages. This is brilliant for them. It's made learning fun they all enjoy doing it cos if they find maths a bit hard they can drop down a year and do that work and then try their level again. I would recommend this for any parent who's children maybe struggling at school as this can be done in the holidays or whan they are home sick. It really keeps their minds busy and it's great to see how much they know.

If it wasn't for Edplace I would not have been able to support my Son with Home Ed whilst he recovered from anxiety after Covid as myself and my Husband work full time. He used a different system when he was under school and this was glitchy and interrupted his learning. Edplace is easy to navigate and follows the national curriculum and also has topic work. We have never had a glitch in the year we used it and it offered a broad range of questions. If ever I had to contact the support team in the early days while we were getting used to it, they were always, prompt, patient and helpful. Having done a lot of research on home ed resources before my Son left school I found this to be the most value for money and the most relevant with lots of exam board questions and practice papers to use. Reporting is also great for local authority report requests you can download their progress at any time into an Excel file which shows their progress. Thank you Ed Place for enabling Home Ed to be such a success for the core subjects

Trying a few learning tools and of all the ones I have tried so far this is about as bad as it gets.
My main aim from this is to prepare my children (twins) for the grammar school test. So I am not home schooling, and I am not a teacher, professional or otherwise, familiar with the curriculum and nor do I have the time or expertise to get to grips with it. If your situation is the same as mine then you will not find EdPlace helpful.
Firstly, I have more than one child. The free option, at least, doesn't allow me to add an extra child, I am assuming the paid version does. If the idea is to give me an idea of what to expect then it has already failed.
Secondly, there is an overwhelming amount of material of different forms. It is confusing. I am a busy parent, not a teacher. I want the tool to guide my child through the lessons, not for me to have to create their learning journey for them.
Also, I have specified the age and year of my child so why even litter my experience with material for other ages and years? The interface is over-engineered.
But the worst thing is that some of the answers are just incorrect! I am degree educated with an A level in Maths.
I had to report a few that I double checked after my children questioned them.
And that's the thing - my children were not impressed. Atom Learning seems better but is far more expensive. This one is £25/month for a 'family' (I'd hope that allows you to add more than one child). I wouldn't even use this if it were free.
Which begs the question - who on earth is giving this product good ratings?

So far my daughter has found it easy to use and it’s highlighted areas we need to focus on and help.

Not sure if this is going to be a resource that I use often with my son. He’s a visual learner and prefers to watch a short demonstration video before attempting (in particular) mathematical questions. He can quickly get frustrated if he’s getting the answers wrong and wants to give up too easily especially if he doesn’t grasp what he’s supposed to be doing.
If I’m missing something in regards of short accompanying videos to go with the different tasks then please can you point me in the right direction. There’s free resources with short videos alongside mathematical questions which may better suit my son. It’s a shame because the literacy isn’t bad on EdPlace but is it worth paying just to use for English… I’m not honestly sure? 🤔 I’m still undecided about this resource and not been using it for very long, hence the three stars.

Great system. Easy to use for the child and very informative in the parent reporting. As a parent I can see exactly what’s been completed, results of each test including actual answers, so I can assess where she needs some extra help.

Edplace is a great resource, after deregistering my 13 Yr old from school. It is straightforward to set up and my child enjoys the learning in our home environment.
Edplace send useful emails everyweek to show the progress and you can also keep an eye on the activities completed and scores achieved (just to make sure they're on track or not). I personally can see an improvement in the 4 weeks she's been using Edplace. Would definitely recommend 👌.

I’ve recently taken my 13 year old out of school to homeschool her. EdPlace has really helped to provide us with up to date math, English and science. I will continue to use EdPlace right up to her GCSE’s. I would recommend to any parent who is looking for home education support. Well done to EdPlace for what they offer
