Hello, I recently had to change all of the utilities at my late mother's house into the executors names. After submitting an initial email to EDF asking what I should do, I was contacted by Julie who... See more

Anna was very easy to talk to and most helpful. She ran through the options without any pressure on me, although I did know what I wanted.

I hardly write reviews, but I feel like it is needed now.
I am frustrated with the misleading e-mails that I receive from EDF, like "you can save if you move to a new x tariff". Perfect. I click on "change" and it ALWAYS says "we can't change your tariff online now, please call whatever". No I won't. I hate phones, I hate having to wait for customer service, I hate having to stop what I'm doing in the limited time that I have to call and God-knows-for-how-long wait without even knowing if it will not be a complete waste of time. Very simple: stop sending those e-mails or make your online customer service work.
Glen was patient, concise, understanding & very helpful. A useful member of staff at EDF.

I spoke with Trexie this morning, she was most helpful and empathic to my situation. She is arranging a visit from an engineer in order to repair or replace my electricity meter.

If I could write a minus I would but 1 is the lowest. Seriously think twice before having anything to do with this company. I have been with them for 17 years and in the last 2 they have gone completely down hill. Like its really bad. Incorrect bills. Poor customer service Incorrect processing of complaints . . . There is a whole group set up by EDF victims set up to support each other with dealing with their horrific tactics. Read the stories in there before you have anything to do with them. Although there are the poor people who have never been customers of them in there trying to get advice and help because EDF are randomly going after people who have not even been with ie moved into a property and signed up to another energy provider and then years later EDF will go after those people and we are talking large amounts of money. Anyone dealing with EDF please go to the Ombudsman. I know its stressful and I am in the middle of preparing myself to do so but they need to be held accountable just because they are a large company they cannot be allowed to continue to scam money out of random people and their customers. Glad to say Ive left today. I would have been a really easy customer to retain especially considering its been 17 years but after their 3rd go at failing me I am getting myself free of this circus.

Danielle was very helpful and resolved my issue swiftly. She was kind and reassuring.
The mistake that had been made by a colleague of hers at EDF was explained away as a mistake. I’m not sure how a mistake of this level could be made with all of the checks that are done to confirm a caller’s identity. I do still have concerns that my account has been accessed by someone other than genuine authorised to do so but at this time I’m not out of pocket and Danielle appears to have resolved it.

Beware this Tarrif from the crooks at EDF.
Contract details
Tariff name: Simply Tracker Sep27v3
Fixed term expires immediately prior to 1st October 2027
Payment method: Direct Debit (Fixed)
Exit fee £50.00
Prices rise and fall in line with Ofgem's price cap.
This is a standard tracker tariff that EDF charge £50 to exit
NO EXIT CHARGES SHOULD BE APPLIED TO A STANDARD TRACKER.
A £50 Exit fee is an underhand method that this disreputable company uses to fleece its customers yet again.

I have had a number of occasions where I have needed help and assistance from the helpline and have been put in touch with a chap called Dave.
Each and every time he has managed to address every single issue to my satisfaction and without delay. He has kept me informed throughout each process with constant updates and kept me fully informed.
I once thought he was an AI Bot because he was so efficient and friendly. His informal and friendly, helpful manner means I have great confidence in speaking to him regarding any issues I might have with my energy supply
Thanks for the help Dave and in a nice way I hope I don't need to speak to you again!

Having waited for some time for someone to answer, I was thrown off the line. A second attempt got through after a good ten minute wait, the line was so appalling, I could hardly hear anything that was being said plus the accent of the person didn't help. When I commented about the problem, I was told to call back....but having waited so long to speak with someone, I battled through. I assumed they could hear me so explained my problem. The problem was solved, but only because I guessed what was being said. Strangely enough, when the guy asked if I would do a review, I could hear perfectly!
