I personally haven't ordered that much through eBay – it's mostly my dad who does, mainly because you can pay with PayPal. Since I also use PayPal, I honestly don’t understand why so many people dislike the platform.
A few days ago, I ordered L-Tyrosine, which was delivered today – everything went smoothly.
Today, I also ordered L-Theanine. Of course, there’s always a chance something could go wrong with the delivery, but I don’t really expect that to happen.

Deutsch: Ich selbst habe gar nicht so viel über eBay bestellt – das macht hauptsächlich mein Vater, vor allem weil man mit PayPal bezahlen kann. Da ich selbst auch PayPal nutze, kann ich ehrlich gesagt nicht nachvollziehen, warum so viele Leute diese Plattform schlechtreden.
Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich L-Tyrosin bestellt – das wurde heute geliefert, alles lief einwandfrei.
Heute habe ich außerdem L-Theanin bestellt. Natürlich kann bei einer Lieferung immer mal etwas schieflaufen, aber ich rechne eigentlich nicht damit.

I bought 10 packs of threads from this seller. However, I only received 6. The seller does not respond to my messages. This is a scam! eBay did not refund my purchase even though it was insured under their program. Do not buy from this seller. I lost 120 euros! After this, I have no trust in eBay!!!

Dishonest site, removes negative feedback on sellers.

As most of the sellers in Germany use DHL as a shipping company, I cannot recommend ebay. As I was waiting for 40 days since the order for a product than never arrived eventually, I've decided to close my account on ebay. It's their business and they should find another shipping partner. Not DHL...

Bought 2 pairs of sneakers from a seamingly legit seller with positive reviews and received the first pair. They are 100% counterfeit.

After reporting this MY ACCOUNT got suspended for making false claims?
The eBay customer support is the worst in the world and that’s a big achievement.

They won’t look into my suspension or the fact that i am a victim of a crime on their platform. They would rather protect a scamming seller and block a legit buyer from every buying and selling on eBay again, than to protect their customers from counterfeit sellers.

Lost 600 euro for a head engine, coveret by ebay money back guarantee ,that never come. What you got back is a stupid chatboot. No an email, nothing. No case.

We have ceased trading today 19th April 2025 on eBay.

Yet again a buyer purchased an item fraudulently attempted to return it as item not as described Thinking as some ebayers do we would just refund him when we called him out he said in a message on eBay  I quote (THE ITEM IS GREAT I MIGHT ORDER ANOTHER ONE) over my dead body he will.

Having contacted eBay I was told because he had opened this case they could not do anything for 15 days ie they would be holding my funds for 15 days (disgusting).

In addition to this it goes on your service metrics and guess what you get charged for it by ebay.

Buyers on eBay are fully well aware if they want to return an item FREE OF CHARGE they just use the narrative of item not as described and eBay tell you report them it won't go on your service metrics (IT DOES)

eBay is now full of scumbags and worse than that eBay are allowing it to happen they will not see one more penny from us we urge everyone to boycott them until they sort this TOXIC mess out.

It is a fraud platform that brings together many fraudsters. The problem is that the site itself protects the thieving sellers and prevents the publication of negative comments about them. Moreover, it closes cases in favor of the fraudulent sellers, no matter how much evidence you bring, and you can never recover your money, no matter how many complaints you submit. I advise you to be very careful with this site because it protects the fraudulent sellers.

installation of a new version that I can't install and thus open an account on ebay, terrible, I have an android Samsung Note 10 phone. I tried everything, but I can't install the new version!!! And in the conversation with the agent, they promised that it would be solved, but it wasn't, very unprofessional!

GREEDY MONSTERS. Even if you promote with premium advertisement campaigns or when you accept an additional sales fee of up to 12%, they still decide to pause your ads if a logo is visible on your standard pictures. Ebay, be aware that if you are too persistent in this you will lose it all together!

The seller deliberately wrote my address incorrectly, and as a result, I could not receive my item (I have proof from the delivery service). The seller kept both the item and my money. This seems like an easy way to scam buyers endlessly, especially if eBay allows this kind of behavior. Despite my complaints, eBay's customer service has completely ignored me. I do not recommend buying from this seller or relying on eBay’s support.

Ebay provides a place for scammers to sell fake collectible us coins with impunity.

eBay buyers protection is a joke. Over a hundred purchase... and one time I returned a faulty item seller refused to accept the return and eBay refused the refund. No item, no money. Lol. What was I thinking shopping on eBay in 2025? Like there is no Amazon or other reputable e-commerce. Never again. Update: The corresponding negative review was removed. Sellers ratings is fake!

Have been with eBay about 20 years.
Living outside the EU tax zone on a IVA/VAT-free zone and still have to pay the 20 - 21 %.
Living outside that eBay often cancel what I have bought as eBay so-called Global Shipping will never send to me and ask me to chose another delivery address – eBay mean that I shall relocate in order to buy on eBay.
Once eBay was the place to buy what was not to get where I live, now no more. Ebay,de, eBay.es, eBay.com are now out of my searches; the French is so better as not trying to add EU VAT automatically. And then China is taking over the world with cheap shipping.
Amazon.de not much better.
Etsy, has not let me down so far.

Avoid buying on ebay.de! Pure scam! Seller sent completely different item that can't be used, paid for it 200€ and now they want me to return it to China for 130€ return shipping which will not be refunded!
