We had a great experience purchasing and receiving from Earthy Timber. Our beautiful Walnut dining table was delivered within the timeframe they promised and to the exact specifications we asked for. We will look to Earthy Timber in the future for further wood tables/countertops for our home. We would definitely recommend purchasing from Earther Timber, especially if you want a beautiful live edge wood table for your home.

EDIT: August 2024, hope the company is still enjoying the money they got for nothing. NO refund.

Edit: March 2023 never heard about refund or sale. They must be delighted.

Edit: Company passed all my details on to advertising and spam companies and I have been inundated with unwelcome calls.

What do you imagine is unreasonable about this sort of simple request? Now the company claim to have a 'legal team' who have reviewed and rejected the request. Plainly from the website they don't have an in house 'legal team' so have supposed bluffing will work. I am making a complaint to the ICO. Judge for yourself if as the 'respectable' person you are (as the company have insinuated in writing that I am not) you want your personal information treated in this way.

What do they want with your personal information and why won't they delete it? Worth asking yourself if you are going to buy from them.

Publishing my emails without my permission, including the very email in which I asked them to delete my details from their systems and refrain from contacting me again or using my details (unless about a refund), speaks volumes about this company and the way they behave. Publishing a data protection request is an interesting take on data protection. You as a 'respectable' potential customer may want to take a view on this.

There were no contacts made as listed below they are simply fictional.

Calling me out as a 'non respectable customer' is also rather unpleasant ...bear in mind when you deal with this company that this may also happen to you after you've given them more than £2k.

I leave it to you to judge whether you want to be treated like this as 'respectable' people. Clearly their aim is to publicly disparage and belittle me.

Who was the person being paid here? This is 'respectable' customer service........is it?

The worst experience I’ve ever had with any company. And such a high price fo pay for nothing. Awful.

Significant delays in making the item. No comms or updates about why that was the case.

Then when it was finally done an email asking me to carry the item to the place I wanted it. Requesting I ‘assist’ with the delivery and prepare to carry the item around when delivery costs hundreds. Nearly a year later and they are still emailing me about ‘storage’ and have failed to offer a refund. They said they might sell it for less but of course they haven’t done that either.

I even asked them to stop emailing me but they keep doing it anyway. They have to have the last word and talk to you as if you are 6 years old. Truly dreadful.

Clearly just flat out laughing at me for giving them money for absolutely nothing. Sickening stuff.

Expensive, awful lesson in the who not to buy from stakes and no doubt they will reply to this in the same hideous ‘we did all we can to support’ tone they take in every single communication. Their comms just make a bad situation worse. Read them and judge for yourself if they reply to this. I don’t know how they even dare.

Simply put they didn’t make the item for ages and when it was finally done asked me to help deliver it - when I’d specifically looked for a delivery service with the item and this was hundreds on top of the price.

Bank transfers should have alerted me this would be a rip off but I was too trusting. What an idiot I was.

Don’t make the same mistake.

If you do buy from them please insist on paying by credit card (they won’t take it) and then consider what recourse you will have (it’s literally none).

And shop somewhere else.

Avoid this terrible company like the plague.

I bought a new oak desk in the end from another small company whose comms were great, who explained a delay and behaved with professionalism throughout. And who delivered it without asking me to carry it anywhere.

What a contrast.

Find someone better when you’re looking for a company as when this goes horribly wrong they won’t refund you (and will also threaten you with ‘storage’ charges!).

If it wasn’t so utterly disgusting it would be funny. If I could give no stars I’d do that.

Shop somewhere else.

This company are the very lowest I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve lost my hard earned savings. Don’t lose yours.

Had my kitchen worktops made by Earthy timber recently and they are absolutely stunning! Amazing craftsmanship and such a talking point when anyone visits. Customer service excellent.

I had two bar tops made to my specifications main bar top with live edge was easy to navigate website put in what I needed fine sanded and lacquered both top are exactly what I ask for no problem with dealing with this company met Anna when I collected my bar tops easy to deal with

Any company that charges £12 for you to use their website deserves to go bankrupt. Shows the sleezy character of their owners and the shameless business practices. Thank god for capitalism and that I can take my business elsewhere but their strategy was so bad I thought to drop by and leave a review to help others who might be looking at this company.

I am an interior designer who has recently moved to Sussex. A live edged table has been on my list for many years and when we needed a new desk I knew just what I wanted. I researched a lot of companies but there was no doubt that Earthy Timber was the company for the job. Their process and workshop is amazing but the unique factors are the care, the creativity and the pride that Anna and Adam applied to my project. The end result is beautiful, bespoke and a stunning centrepiece for my home office. It will be treasured for years to come and worth the investment. Thank you Adam and Anna!

Like other reviewers, asking for £12 for an online pricing tool signals an untrustworthy firm. Taking my business elsewhere.

Anna and Adam made us a stunning, large dining table to seat 12. They were professional throughout and delivered exactly what they said they would. They expertly planned the process of moving the extremely heavy table in as well. Highly recommended. Looking forward to many years of enjoying our new table.

£12 to use an online tool for 30 mins to get a quote. Someone's been sniffing the wood oil again.

You have to pay £12 just to use their online quote calculator. Absolutely ridiculous, whoever thought that was a good idea should be fired. I'll now be going elsewhere because of this.

In our search for the perfect table we were fortunate to come across Earthy Timber online.We had a fascinating visit to Anna and Adam’s workplace and we’re amazed at the craftsmanship and detail that goes into every piece,a completely unique article.
Dealing with Anna was a joy and so accommodating with follow up during the process.When delivery day arrived we were thrilled with the final table it far surpassed our expectations .It truly is a masterpiece and the envy of those who have seen it.

I collected a bespoke floating oak shelf for a small bathroom refit. Beautiful piece of wood to exactly the specifications requested, would highly recommend them

Anna made the most spectacular river oak desk top for my office. It's truly stunning. The level of craftsmanship is astounding. This is a person who truly understands wood, and how to best display the spirit of a piece of timber. I was kept informed at every stage of the project from start to finish, and Anna was a pleasure to deal with throughout. I'm already dreaming of my next project!

We initially contacted Anna at Earthy Timber when we had no more than a vague idea of what we wanted, other than it should be beautiful; and after sending some photos of our kitchen and an outline of our idea to extend our kitchen island, a plan was hatched. When Adam and Anna visited to measure up and do a site survey we saw Adam’s creativity shine as he came up with new suggestions for the plan. He clearly understood what we wanted, and at that point the project changed from being a piece of carpentry to a piece of art with a function in our home.

Once a price was agreed Adam indicated that an increase in the thickness of the oak would be needed for it to look right in the environment of our home, but there was no additional change for this. Anna was always responsive to our emails and we were lucky enough to see some photos of the massive slice of an old oak tree, that had fallen in Germany, that Adam would work on to become our kitchen island extension. Adam is only interested in working with trees which have fallen naturally or had to be cut down because they were diseased. If he thinks they will have an attractive grain and interesting features, he “harvests” them to give them a new life in his workshop.

Adam and Anna are two of the friendliest people we’ve met and every interaction with them is positive and enthusiastic. Their company is a pleasure to deal with and they have the rare quality of being able to inject fun into their work and customer interactions.

When the long-awaited day of installation arrived, Adam’s enthusiasm and pride for what he had created was infectious and it was exhilarating to see him working in our kitchen with fellow craftsman Mike. The finished product exceeds all possible expectations, and every detail exudes quality that has been thoughtfully and carefully considered. It is truly a piece of architectural art which will become a working centrepiece of our kitchen. It’s very solid, very beautiful and very tactile. It is simply impossible not to admire it every time we look at it or sit at it.

Decided to get a table made by Earthy Timber to have something unique and beautiful.
Ordering and status updates were great and the table was hand delivered by Anna on time. So pleased to have dealt with Anna and Adam who have excelled and provided us with something really very special. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a hand crafted piece of fine furniture. We ordered a live edge oak dining table and matching bench. Anna drove up leaving very early to deliver it to us once we were able to move and we love it. Sit at it in the sunshine coming in the windows. Just regret that due to lockdown we haven’t had many friends and family sat round it yet. Found great chairs to go with it from Habitat.

This company tries to charge you £12 simply to get a quote... using their AUTOMATED WEB FORM.

This is truly insane. I have never, ever come across a business doing something like this before. And why would they? Turning off potential customers by refusing to let them use an automated web form—that costs you nothing to run—is absolutely bone-headed.

There is no way that I would consider doing business with this company when that is their idea of a smart business practice.

We were looking for an artistic centrepiece (kitchen island) for our newly renovated home - something that captured our natural surroundings and was both beautiful and practical. Earthy Timber created a unique piece for us and we couldn’t be happier with it. The quality of the craftsmanship and customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Sitting at such a nice piece of furniture brightens my mood every day!

Just received our second piece that we have commissioned from Earthy Timber, the first being a stunning 4m x 1m Oak table that we've enjoyed many a summers evening dinning at and still looks as good as the the day it was delivered 3 years ago! The latest is a beautiful light oak dinning table and matching bench.Service, workmanship and quality are all superb. Anna and her team have a real passion for what they do and shows in the incredible pieces they create. Will be back for the next one. Thank you so much guys
