I previously went on one of those sites that talk big but don't deliver, then I found you.
Your site sounded like the real deal and in fact delivered. My LG RC689D was unlocked in seconds, your instructions were great and easy. Well worth the registration fee.
A big thank you from me.

I had no problems unlocking my Samsung BD-F5100 Blu-ray player with the code supplied by dvdexploder. It worked first time; I made sure I followed the explicit instructions (stood close to equipment and entered code sequence quickly and without pausing). The website states clearly that the code will allow me to play any region DVDs on my Region 4 (purchased in Australia) player but does not make the claim for Blu-Ray disks. When I emailed them to clarify that, they answered within 48 hours and said they were working on the Blu-Ray codes. So no false statements; they delivered what they promised. I am very happy with my purchase as I own many US DVDs that I used to play on a now-kaput multi-region DVD player. I have ABSOLUTELY NO connection with this company other than that of a satisfied customer.

I required codes to make both a Pioneer BDP LX70A and a Samsung BD H6500 Bluray players region free,I looked through the links on dvd exploder showing the brands and models they state they have hack codes for and this link showed that they had links for both these models.
I then paid my registration fee and was supplied a username and password however when entering these I was not able to login, I then emailed dvdexploder and following my 3rd email I received a response giving me a manual user name and password to login which enabled me access.
On logging in I first found a hack code for the Samsung model and was able to get it to accept the region free number of 9 which supposedly makes this bluray player region free but on putting in a bluray disc from another region it told me I was using a disc from another region and it would not play.
I then tried to find the Pioneer hack code that their initial link showed they had, but it could not be found.
I have sent several emails to dvd exploder asking for assistance but have not received a single response from them.
So beware of wasting your money br registering with dvd exploder should you wish to make your bluray player region free.
My next move will be to report this issue to Paypal in an effort to have my registration fee refunded seeing that I have in no way received what I have paid for, as they clearly state in their users link that they can make both dvd and BLURAY players region free, and they have failed to do this.
Updated / followup review
Since submitting my review, I have been contacted by dvd exploder and it appears that their representative that handles customer relations had been unable to respond to my earlier queries due to a Xmas family illness.
He has explained to me that they are working on an unlock hack code for the bluray side of the Samsung player I have, and that the code I used which was supplied by them and which successfully made the player region free for dvd's should have also worked for blurays, but they will send me an email once their people have looked at the hack code upgrade.
And in regard to my Pioneer, they are going to have the link to this model removed from their listing, and will also be attempting to find a region free hack for this player.
Given their positive response I now upgrade the original review I submitted to positive.
I have moved here recently and bought a DVD player from the local shop. In Australia, my recent purchase of a flat screen TV set with DVD player for my caravan didn't involve regions so I didn't ask questions.
My problem started when I wanted to play a favourite DVD purchased from the UK through Amazon for some dinner friends. No go!
I altered our plans and visited the retailer the next day who said "all DVD players are set to region 4 that we sell".
Went home to Google the problem, and found your site. The request for money made me hesitate for a minute, but as the amount was small, I proceeded.
The list of players is incredible, to the extent that I couldn't find a Samsung D530 on the list. I used the find function in Safari and there it was.
I followed the clear instructions and it didn't work. Once, twice, third time lucky and now I can play my beloved favourite for my guests when they next visit.
Furthermore, I don't have to worry about regions when purchasing DVDs any longer.

After purchasing DVD's (Coro St diehard) because our TV network decided to stop the series from the UK, later realising my Blue Ray player was set for the wrong region, so looked up the internet and found some you tube videos of how to unlock your DVD player, but none of this worked on my player . After further searching I came across the DVDexploder web page, and downloaded their sequence codes for my specific player after paying a small fee. I had to ask a question and wrote an email for some help. The response was quick and very polite and helpful and clarified some points for me. I was able to unlock my player and am now joyfully watching my favourite show. So thanks heaps. Would recommend to everyone. Helen
DVDExploder has so many DVD region unlock codes listed that it's rare that you find one that isn't there - who knows how they manage to achieve it. It must be frustrating for them to find a way to unlock DVD players using the remote, yet very satisfying when they achieve it.
There's only one drawback, their website is not immediately clear as the text and links are very small, and it's not always obvious where to go for certain information without having to read through lots of other information you don't need. Still, I can usually find my way around.
I had a query with them today and they answered almost straight away with good, obliging advice. Thank you very much!
I wanted to be able to play other regions on our new Samsung Bluray player BD F-5100. Here in Australia we can usually get most dvd's in our region 4 code but there are always some that are hard to find.
Using the code provided in the database, I was able to unlock our player to play any region after just 3 tries. (technical stuff is not my strong point ! ) I found the in depth instructions so helpful and encouraging.
Many thanks to Paul and Team for their quick and courteous response to any inquiries. I would definitely recommend Dvdexploder to anyone.
With much appreciation,

I recommend these folks, because they appear to be real people who stand behind the service they provide. I was sceptical about paying a fee and perhaps getting nothing, so I followed their "Contact Us" to ask what sort of guarantee they provided. They answered with a very polite email, asking which specific machines I wanted to unlock. I sent them my list and the next day they told me that they had codes for 2 of my 3 machines and were still working on the third. So I subscribed to their service and found the codes for the two machines; I've implemented and tested one (success!) but have not yet had a chance to do the other one. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll work out the solution to the third machine. Meanwhile, if I need to replace a machine, I have a year's access to the codes! It's a fair deal, with a small price for a valuable service.
Until I found the DVDExploder web site, I thought there was nothing I could do to play gift DVD's from other countries. There was a minor hiccup when I was not automatically routed to the logon details allocation page, this was rapidly overcome by an exchange of emails after which I was easily able to set the country code on my old LG V728W player. My thanks to Paul at DVDExploder for the effective and responsive service as well as the advertised discount

Thanks to DVDExploder my Sony BDP S-1100 is now region free. What is more I was able to use its dedicated remote to accomplish this (didn't have to buy a universal one.) Can't praise DVDExploder enough, they very rapidly responded to various queries, and in all ways have been totally helpful. (By the way I am totally unconnected with DVDExploder excepta as a happy member.)

I first came across DVDExploder a few years ago when trying to unlock my new Samsung Blue Ray player. The site very quickly gave me the hack needed to get the DVD side playing both my US and British DVD collection.
I recently looked for a hack for my new Phillips BPD3400 Blue Ray player. Again the site provided a hack that immediately made the DVD side multi-region. No fuss, no bother, just a quick fix. It also provided very valuable information about the software installed in the player that will be useful in mastering its inner secrets. When asked to look into unlocking the Blue Ray side of life I got an immediate response to say that they were working on it. I only have one USA Blue Ray, so not in a hurry!
A huge database, responsive team and great extras; what more could one ask from a DVD unlocking website? This is the place to go to get the help to make your machine play the discs you have. At under £10 pounds to open the door, it is infinitely cheaper than either replacing all your DVDs from overseas or buying a player from that Region. Use DVDExploder and you will not be disappointed.
Dvdexploder has the fix to remove the region code for the Samsung DVD-D530 that I recently purchased in Italy. I am now able to play all the DVDs I bought in the USA and brought to Italy for my personal enjoyment. They followed up quickly with login credentials that allowed me access multiple solutions to the change I needed to make. As it often turns out, the simplest alternative offered was the one that worked! Would highly recommend this team for this special work of unlocking DVD hardware.
I write from Chile. DVD zone 4.
I am happy to tell you that I unlocked my Sony BDV-N990W Blu-ray player.
I followed the steps indicated in your database and it worked immediately.
I can now see DVD zone 1 (and to buy wthout problems by internet any DVD zone)and zone 4 here in Chile. Sorry for my english languaje!.
A great region fix!
I recently moved from Australia to Thailand. I bought a Samsung HT-F9750W 3D Blu-ray Home Theatre System here in Thailand which was locked to Region 3. My entire Australian DVD collection was Region 4. My new system was not listed on the database so I emailed Paul & team who responded straight away saying they would research it. In the meantime I tried some of the unlock sequences for other Samsung players and lo and behold I found one that worked! Extremely happy with the result. I strongly recommend this site. Great service and an amazing database.
Found DVDexploder on the Internet and I was a bit hesitant as it was in the UK versus Canada. I took the plunge and when the first listed tries did not work I sent Paul an email and got a new firmware for the Insignia system that worked perfect .
I look forward to seeing the update for my Samsung product
Found the service by Paul and Team to be professional and courteous. A quick one off registration and I found the answers I required and am now able to switch between regions on our LG BP120 Blu Ray player. Any queries I had were promptly answered and personalised, not just generic. Highly recommended. Thankyou.
For a modest fee access to their database provided and I must say response to an email question very prompt and on par with larger e commence sites I deal with. Oh I managed to unlock 1 of my players [panasonic bluray dmpbdt220] using URC 7960 the first time and now just one outstanding [a new Panasonic model] player of mine to unlock and they have this in hand. Thanks Paul & Team
I was hesitant to try and unlock my player as I am a technophobe. Finally took the plunge. I thought I had to obtain my firmware details of my player and I contacted the site for help with this. I received a prompt response from them advising me I didn't need this information to unlock my player. I just went straight to the instructions for the one for all remote and keyed in the codes as instructed. It worked first time and it was so easy. I just wished I had done it sooner. I would recommend this site to anyone. A big thank you to Paul and the team.
I emigrated from the UK to Oz and found that my new Sony BDV-E800W wouldn't play most of my UK DVDs. Sony said it couldn't be made multi-region. I found DVDExploder and subscribed to their website for a very reasonable fee. They recommended to me by email a cheap URC which I bought and just followed their instructions and now have a multi-region Home Video system. Well done guys!!
Having purchased my Blu-Ray DVD player some time ago, it was good to be able to find someone like DVD Exploder to help me get the best out of my DVD viewing experience. Thanks guys, blood's worth bottling. I have one ongoing request and I am hoping for good news on this front soon.
