Today I saw self-service checkouts and thought, finally, Dunnes has decided to do this. But no, self-service checkouts are only for those with baskets, not trolleys. And then, I checked the cost of th... See more

Dunnes stores Blanchardstown:

Dunnes stores Blanchardstown:
Guy rang his bell for a void, the person in front of me put all their shopping up to be checked out, I got half of mine done, still no sign of anyone coming to do the void, standing standing till finally I asked a staff member to get someone to do the void, came back and said she's on the way, she decided to stop midway to have a chat and a laugh with 2 staff members before finally coming to do the void, A queue is a queue and I don't mind that but standing unnecessarily is ridiculous, staff love to talk at the checkouts but stop scanning products while speaking, it's an absolute joke, why can they not scan and talk, it's not rocket science, for the customers in the queue it's frustrating, it's like they have no respect for their customers, the people who pay their wages, really need to sort themselves out. As much as I enjoy buying my shopping I'm seriously thinking of changing to another brand of store. Dunnes train your staff properly, less talking and more working

Garden furniture set …

I purchased a rattan garden table and chair set in 2020 the price of €1,100 I absolutely loved it two years later the rattan on the table started to belly underneath the glass I contacted Dunnes by email it took weeks to get any response eventually somebody got back to me. This went on for months and months explaining that the furniture must not of been stored properly, that it can be the weather that they d have to get in contact with manufacturers etc. I explained that I had it covered in winter months and it was looked after very well. My understanding is that garden furniture is for the use outdoors and should certainly last more than two years. So eventually 6 months after this the table was replaced, now two years on from that the chairs have fallen apart there’s holes in them all the rattan has broke away from the chair s I contacted Dunnes again and they said nothing they can do I was out of warranty. This is a disgrace the furniture is clearly not fit for purpose I am extremely disappointed.

Bad experience

Today at around 9:30 this morning, I visited Dunnes Stores in Crumlin Shopping Centre, and there was a sale on the PJs and socks. Three staff members took everything, and they didn’t leave anything at all for customers.

I know very well that staff aren’t allowed to do that, and I was standing there ready to purchase. One of the girls looked straight at me and said, “I really don’t care.”

I asked to speak to the manager, but he wasn’t there. And this isn’t even the first time they’ve done this. Honestly, the staff in Crumlin are not good at all, and this whole situation is absolutely ridiculous.

Drove today from Ballsbridge to the RATHMINES store in the swan centre to buy an outfit for an interview only to discover they don’t stock any women’s office wear. The shop was full of gym gear and mens wear. They had no black jackets at all, yet they did have sleeveless blazers.. in January 🤷‍♀️
The limited selection is not mentioned anywhere on the website; and was told the closest place to go for this would be St Stephen’s Green, a nightmare to get to for anyone, and no longer (easily) accessible by car.

I generally like Dunnes clothes, but find the selections in the larger stores including St Stephen’s Green, increasingly disappointing.

Enniscorthy

Enniscorthy, staff very pushy and rude getting people including myself to use the self checkout in the clothes department. One item was missing a tag so was left waiting. The till would have been faster.

Strong retailer, some own-label quality issues

Dunnes is a strong retailer overall: good range, competitive pricing, and consistent availability across branches. The Nourish range in particular is excellent — genuinely useful, healthier options and products that aren’t easy to find elsewhere.

Where Dunnes could improve is some own-label food quality, especially within the Baxter & Greene range. The pinsa is fine but unremarkable, while several ready meals I tried were disappointing in flavour and texture. The hummus is also weak compared with cheaper alternatives.

Fresh produce is generally good, but avocado quality has been inconsistent for a long time, which stands out given how common a purchase they are.

I’ll continue shopping at Dunnes, but tightening quality control on specific own-label lines and a few produce staples would noticeably improve the experience.

Staff with no education

Dunnes Stores, Scotch Hall Drogheda ,2026,02 Jan, Time 15.15 at self checkout till, I got from Dunnes Stores' staff a big Fu ... You!; when I was asking her name, saying I needed her name to do a complaint against her, as she was very rude and didn't do anything there just to complicate your life.I was asking the second one I want to speak with their manager. She said she can't tell me the manager's name because she is on a break. But she was chatting with the one who sent me the New Year greetings.... :( Hard to believe, isn't it? I'll send a complaint to the store, and I expect an apology from the staff member, in person.

Very rude female staff in Blessington store

The very rude female staff member at the till in Dunness Stores in Blessington co. Wicklow refused to take payment for 2 products this afternoon, as she said we were not buying cigarettes. She served the customer before us though and then walked away on us. Avoid avoid avoid!

Very frustrating experience returning an online order.

I attempted to return a single €10 item from an online purchase in store and was refused a refund because I didnt have the physical dispatch note. While I understand this may have been included with the delivery, I had disposed of the packaging, assuming reasonably that an online order could be verified using an order number or account details, as is standard with most retailers.

I was told my only options were to make another trip after contacting customer service or accept an exchange under conditions that made little sense. For a €10 item, this is completely disproportionate and outdated.

At no point during the online checkout process was it made clear that a physical paper document would be strictly required for an in store return.

Disappointing, inflexible, and not in line with modern online retail practices.

DISCRIMINATION !!!

IF YOU ARE PARENT WITH THE BABY/KID AVOID Cornelscourt Dunnestores!!!
Bravo management, obsalute discrimination towards children!!! In all huge carpark there WAS few designated family spaces with the sign. Management have hired security guard to don't allow parents with kids to park on them over the Xmas, Apparently its only for disable people from now on. Its obsalute DISCRIMINATION!!! Management couldn't reserve any other spaces for disable people in huge carpark that can handle few thousand cars, but to take baby spaces! And its not only that, security haven't chased BMW x5 2025 with no disability sign driven by male and didn't asked to move. But seen vulnerable woman with kids just jumped on her feeling superior in a rude way requesting to leave. Crying kids from the tone security spoke, upset mother.... no other carpark spaces available.... had to leave with no shopping....

Dunne’s grocery store needs to revisit their management and customer service, I am disappointed with vouchers offer as the voucher does not scan as it should be and this is a fraudulent technique they use to get people to shop and then will say nothing they can do and always make an excuse, SHARON the grocery manager in Blanchardstown center was very unhelpful when I brought the issue to her attention, unprofessional to say the least. Don’t trust them when the store claims better value, it is misleading.
