Today I saw self-service checkouts and thought, finally, Dunnes has decided to do this. But no, self-service checkouts are only for those with baskets, not trolleys. And then, I checked the cost of th... See more

Bought a pair of wide leg jeans in…
Bought a pair of wide leg jeans in Waterford Dunnes Stores that were way too long not labelled at long fit. I am a 5ft 6 woman and these jeans were made for someone over 6ft. I went to return them with the receipt but was refused as tags were not on the jeans. So I told them to keep them as they were not wearable for me. A complete waste of 25 euro. Usually Dunnes Jeans are very reliable but not this time.
Disrespectful customer service.
The assistant at the checkout started a full scale argument with my wife because she didn’t want to use her app. The assistant was rude and offensive. We will never shop there again.
Bad customer service
I'm a long term customer at Dunnes and often spend €200 or more on my weekly shop. I had an issue with the app one night and askd the manager for assistance. She was helful and gave me the contact of the custimer service team (Taylor - Customer Care). I sent her my receipst and asked for the unused and valid vouchers to be redeeemed as the app wasnt working. The request was refused and, although I have been a loyal customer, I will now shop at my local Lidl or Tesco. Very dissapointing customer service.

Dunnes stores northside is an absolute joke, nobody serving on the cigs counter, all i needed was phone credit instead of joining a queue of trolleys doing a weekly shop....avoid this kip
Young checkout staff
Just want to say the young staff members are a breath of fresh air. Happy and chatty, I had a lovely shopping experience on Tuesday 7th April. Lovely girl at checkout in ladies depth city square . And a lovely young man in homewear depth on checkout in the shopping mall. Waterford.
Rude and surly staff
Having gone to Dunns in enniskillen to do a spot of shopping, when I went to the till to pay for the clothes I realised it was mostly self checkout. Now maybe some people will say it’s great but I absolutely abhor self checkouts and my view is that I am not paid to do the job of staff. When o said as much to a staff member sinead, I was met with a rude and surly response. She indicated that it wasn’t that difficult proceeded to forcefully scan the clothes and throw them to the other side. I had to ask her to stop. When speaking with th store manager about this I was met with smirking and not really much understanding for how rude that behaviour and off putting it was. I have to say it has left a very bad impression and I wonder why some people choose customer facing roles when they are so clearly not suited.

Green park apartment plays del ingles is the worse complex to stay
We stayed at the green park apartments in playa del ingles grab Canaria I have to say I’m going to grab Canaria for 30 years got a bit fed up with Puerto Rico so thought we’d try playa del I glad we hadn’t been there for 15+years so was looking forward to it. The staff are ok but the apartments leave a lot be desired they desperate for a good upgrade but we got over that. On the first night my daughter was taking a shower the shower head shot off and hit her in the head and the water scalded her chest when I went to reception to complain they said it’s not their fault??? Advised we get a doctors report which we did of course paid 100 euro handed in receipt and nothing happened we got no refund for the doctors bill or the prescription I had been in contact by email eventually 4 weeks after we were home I got an email to say they are not responsible for any damage caused I would not recommend staying in this complex unless you are desperate the absolute cheek. I will keep spreading the word of how awful we were treated they certainly are not a caring nation as I thought they were. There are very few places to eat breakfast/lunch not many of the centres open it’s very run down which is a shame

I have always enjoyed shopping in Dunnes Stores, Cornelscourt. The staff have consistently been exceptional, and their customer service is a big part of why I shop there so often — especially in the drapery section, where the human interaction makes the experience genuinely enjoyable.
However, the recent move to mostly automated tills has made shopping extremely difficult for disabled customers like myself. There are now only two staffed tills, and the long wait times to access them are challenging and, frankly, unacceptable when you are struggling with mobility or other disabilities.
Automated tills feel cold and impersonal, and many of us choose to shop in-store precisely because we value human interaction. If we wanted a fully automated experience, we could simply shop online.
Unfortunately, unless this changes, I will have to stop visiting, as I do not wish to be forced into a shopping experience that removes the human element entirely.I have always enjoyed shopping in Dunnes Stores, Cornelscourt. I know Penny’s provides dedicated tills for disabled customers as do TK MAXX, which makes a huge difference. Dunnes, unfortunately, has never done so. But this isn’t only about accessibility — many non‑disabled customers value human interaction and dislike automated tills. Drapery shopping, in particular, is a personal, tactile experience, and removing staffed tills takes away part of what makes it enjoyable.
Unfortunately, unless this changes, I will have to stop visiting, as I do not wish to be forced into a shopping experience that removes the human element entirely..
Extremely disappointed
Shopping in Dunnes Stores is a nightmare! We had been loyal customers for over 30+ yrs. We didn't leave straight away, we tried to support. However, Dunnes in Cranmore, Sligo is an absolute disaster. There was never anything on the shelves! Crates were left out but nobody unpacking them; fruit & veg was the worst, but as you travel the shop, nothing but empty shelves. Dare you ask anyone for help; some were nice but the majority of staff were extremely rude. Pallets abandoned on isles making it extremely difficult to manoeuvre with the trolley; staff walking straight through people. For weeks we left without several items we needed & had to go to other shops to get them, costing even more. The vouchers were nothing short of a con! It used to be a bonus but not anymore. Majority of the time, there was a minimum amount of checkouts open at any time and because of this your shopping is nearly thrown at you! Total nightmare regarding parking too, or lack thereof! Spaces taken away every time or blocked off. Last time we went, the footpath was dug up & every space either side was blocked off; we heard it went on for weeks! There is an obvious lack of respect for the customers. Managers are the rudest. We finally gave up & we are extremely happy with where we are going now & it's alot cheaper, without vouchers!

The Irish male manager with the terrible crew cut, with the most arrogant attitude towards female patrons, really shows his lack of respect towards women. He's in drogheda dunnes in the drogheda shopping center if he can't do his job without a style number then maybe she shouldn't have a manager title dunnes should I've this position to a woman, he laughs and gossips about customers to his female colleagues one with blonde hair tall with fake eyelashes and it's stressful going in to dunnes unsure of the behavior by the staff this is unacceptable and highly unprofessional it's very disappointing indeed but not surprising as all the shops represented in drogheda are very badly represented compared to the same shops in Dublin they deal with high stress there, what does drogheda deal with ignorance I say shame on you dunnes please ensure your shops in drogheda do better the clothes department and food department thanks concerned customer and patron of dunnes I do like the product some of the time but very bad intolerable customer care. 2.30-2.45 pm

A bit disappointed with my experience using the Dunnes Stores app voucher. A voucher that had already been used was still showing in my app, so I assumed it was valid for my shop. When it didn’t apply at checkout, I had already completed my shopping and ended up paying more than expected. Customer service said it was due to an internet issue, but it would be great if the app updated properly to avoid this confusion for customers. It s a new issue every week with vouchers to be honest. Just get rid of them.

What a scam
What a scam.
Had an issue and the store did not scan my club card and now the store refuses to honour my purchases with new vouchers. I think this is a good time to head to Aldi and Tesco.

Awful quality due to new supplier
I have shopped in Dunnes Stores for 36 years. I have always found suitable clothing. Their style over the last couple of years is not great but that is not the issue. The quality has changed for the worst. I purchased 2 pairs of the same trousers that I have been wearing for 5 years. They were completely different, horrible material, colour and shape. When I returned them I asked why and I was told that they have a different supplier now. I also purchased a burgandy blouse and white top to go under it. The burgandy colour ran into the white top and my skin. I had to wash it a few times to get the excess dye out. I bought a black coat and 1 button fell out on first wear, a second button fell out a couple of weeks later. The sleeves of the coat have already worn out. The coat is only 2 months old yet it looks like a 10 year old coat that is ready for recycling. I not going to even bother with Dunnes clothing anymore. Even on the rare occasion that I might see something nice, there is no point in buying as it simply wont last.
Dunnes ruin Christmas
The first time I shopped at Dunnes Thurles I was only a child and I have been a loyal customer ever since. But your customer services team are the most useless I have come across.I placed an order and of November half of the items arrived with a week. When I enquired about the rest over the course of December cyber Monday was blamed then Christmas finally was advised that the parcel was lost and a refund would be raised. To my surprise the parcel was delivered around the 8th January I was recovering from Influenza which I had been admitted to hospital for so returning this parcel wasnt top of my priority list.I have now been advised it too late to return the parcel. I have to say your customer service is basic just apologise and don’t repond to emails or call people back no accountability and no customer service.
