Worse courier company

It’s unfortunate because I don’t like to complain about people who are for the most part underpaid and exploited, nonetheless DPD is the worse courier company. Parcels are rarely delivered at home, often they get left somewhere and you are lucky to even receive a notification. I got packages sent back because no one cared to deliver them and in more than one instance they were delivered to the wrong address but closed as delivered to me, in one instance even with a signature that we will probably never know who did. Unfortunately, this review is really just me venting since there’s no way it will make a difference, but it’s still the worse courier company.

Parcel not delivered

Parcel not delivered. They say they have sent it to a pick up point which is closed, then say they have returned it back to the seller and finally on Amazon mark it as delivered. Pathetic service and even pathetic customer care. I wonder why companies like Amazon rely on DPD for their parcel deliveroes

Utterly Rubbish service 👎👎

Its taken over 12hours for my parcel to be delivered from Sheffield to my address in Chesterfield and ive had no updates at all during this time from DPD with an expected time I might expect my delivery, utterly ridiculous...👎👎👎

USELESS

USELESS. i had to order the same item TWICE and DPD lost it BOTH TIMES. wasted about a month of my time waiting for BOTH packages and ive just given up im taking the refund and buying the item somewhere else DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR SHITTY EMPLOYEES THAT CANT DO THEIR JOBS

Fraudulent delivery company.

Terrible delivery company.
Driver fraudulently signed delivery receipt at an apartment block approx 3km from my house (address not in any way similar).
Next day promised a delivery time that was not possible as the package was still in Faro with delivery to my house in the next 30 mins (house is 75 mins from Faro). That evening received "Operational anomaly" update via tracking.
Next day "Recipient absent", first at an address in Faro. And then a couple of hours later it also gave the same update at an address approx 500m from my house. I was home all the time waiting for the package.
Weekend, no updates at all. Assume package either lost or stolen.
Zero response from customer service.
Fraudulent actions from DPD. Unfortunately the online shop uses them as courier. Hopefully not for much longer.

Failed to deliver before 12pm when…

Failed to deliver before 12pm when higher fee was paid to do so
Not kept telling me it was the wrong day. When connected to an agent long pauses not helpful and then completely ignored me
Shocking delivery and customer service
Don’t deserve one star

So sad and bad DPD!!

So bad!!
A small letterbox package from Belgium ca. 0.5kg cost ca € 16,50 at DPD parcel service to the Netherlands.
Start on April 10th 2026.
Terribly poor and strange information in the France language from DPD via Track&Trace. Many unreadable medsages by email. The package changed 6 times from several depots to others in Kortrijk Belgium before it started being transferred to the Netherlands.
Today Saterday 18 april 2026, 8 days later, I receive a track&trace 11'oclock a.m. that the package will be delivered between 13.48 and 14.48 hrs.
I believe that getting a package mail from China by DHL is even quicker than a package from Belgium.
Unbelievable so dumb and ineffective in the 21st century!😡
In het vervolg, ik koop nooit meer iets online bij een bedrijf, voordat ik zeker weet dat het niet met DPD wordt geleverd. Ook niet via, via. en dan toch bij DPD. Dit bedrijf moet gewoon sluiten!

Package lost after 8 minutes of checking in

Yesterday, the tracking stated that my parcel would be delivered today. Then, this morning at 10:04, I got a message saying the delivery would be made using custom requirements, even though I never set any. Only 8 minutes later, I received another message saying it had been delivered, to an address that appears to be the same depot where it had already been since yesterday around 18:00.

DPD customer support then told me I need to contact the seller so an investigation can be started, even though it feels like they could simply arrange delivery for tomorrow if they genuinely wanted to correct the mistake.

The most frustrating part is that if the parcel has really been marked as delivered to that same depot, this will probably take days to resolve.

My heart always sinks when i see DPD …

My heart always sinks when i see DPD is responsible for sending me goods purchased online. Their tracking information is not up to scratch when it comes to modern delivery services (who give you a time frame that is not a full day)

Furthermore if you do happen to not be home when they deliver it is an absolute mess to figure out where your parcel is. We were sent to a locker to pick up our parcel (that was not even in our neighbourhood) just to find an empty locker. Just shockingly bad.

Marked as not home

Driver marked it as “not home” even though I was there and answered the door. No attempt was made to deliver the package. Very disappointing service.

They promised delivery in 2–4 days

They promised delivery in 2–4 days, but I have now been waiting for over a week, which is completely unacceptable. I specifically needed this package within the promised timeframe, and because of this delay it has caused me serious inconvenience.

What is the point of giving customers an estimated delivery time if you can’t even come close to it? Waiting almost double the promised time with no proper explanation is extremely frustrating and disappointing. This kind of service is unreliable, and I definitely expected much better.

The delivery was not attemped

The delivery van made a false statement staying they attempted to make a delivery however I was at home at that time during which they did not come to my residence. Furthermore once going to the disorganised pick up point the package was damaged.

Terrible service - avoid

Terrible service. DPD say they will give you a one-hour delivery slot in advance. I am frequently given a 1 hour delivery slot at 7am with delivery due at 7.30am the same day. I am disabled and this is not sufficient notice. Today I missed the delivery and was told the parcel will be redelivered to the collection point. Due to my disability I am unable to travel to the collection point which is over a mile away. There is no way to communicate with the driver or to contact DPD in any way on the website. I managed to find a phone number on Reddit which disconnected me midway through.
Absolutely useless service which has left me crying tears of frustration. It is bad enough being disabled and restricted to the house without this.

I ordered a package from the UK to NL…

I ordered a package from the UK to NL with expedited service (31 euros), which should arrive within 2 days. Duty paid up front and the package is in NL on wednesday and it still takes till monday next week. This is terrible service for that price. Never will I choose DPD expedited again and default to other couriers for expedited delivery.

Online purchasers BEWARE of DPD shipping!

Online purchasers throughout the Netherlands knows DPD is an inferior operation from start-to-finish (if there ever is a "finish" at all).
Since July 2025, until this past week (April 2026), they have NOT DELIVERED to my address FIVE TIMES!!
Instead of attempting to deliver, they have gone directly to a pickup point. 5 TIMES. This is also in every region of NL because my friends and family have the same problems on the opposite side of the country from me.
This time they used a drop-off point two towns away from me!! It was an order from "koffiehenk". I will no longer purchase from this company since they refuse to address these consistent problems. I will not be traveling 20 minutes to pick it up -- this time it goes back to the sender company and I get a full refund.

No phone calls... no emails... nothing will improve a damn thing with the worst shipper in the EU. They are the most inexpensive choice of some companies for a reason! How they can keep their licenses with so many formal complaints to governments and consumer advocates is a mystery.

Companies should decide if using cheap shippers like DPD is worth losing customers and clients.
