ABSOLUTLEY APPALLING AND UPSETTING EXPERIENCE

I was hoping to sell some books via world of books. I arranged through their site to stay in for a day for DPD to pick up the parcel

It gave me a slot and i waited then when the time had passed I checked again and it said delivery had been attempted which it hadnt

I rang the DPD 0121 number and they escalated this to cardiff who said the photo taken of the house was from a distance, wasnt mine and delivery hadnt been attempted. They were lovely and said they would arrange the driver to come back but it would be the afternoon and to stay in and they took my number so the driver would ring

Around 5 i rang the 0121 number again

1) I was told I could not contact Cardiff again - i was told they were only allowed to be contacted once

2) I was told I would have to wait to the end of the day to see if the collection was happening - he told me that was 7 or 8pm

3) i asked to speak to a senior - he said he was the senior

4) I asked to speak to a manager and he said he would have to send a form and someone would ring back in 2 hours.

5) He said that he would fill in the form when i was off the fone. I asked he did it there and then and let me know form was done and he then said he said he would and then said he hadnt done that and would do after the fone call and checking some things

6) I asked to raise a complaint about the whole business and he said there wasnt a complaints procedure, he hadnt said a manager would call me back and that there was no one else I could speak to unless i wanted to ring the call centre again

I cannot contact cardiff

I have waited in all day and no collection has taken place. twice

the call handler (I have his name) then said there was nothing else he could tell me (repeatedly) and then said have a nice day and terminated the call

I am home with a Mam with Alzheimers, doing none of our daily routine as I am waiting for information about another time for collection that looks like it is not going to happen at all

I am utterly broken by this experience

I had to give one star as no stars is not an option.
I have to ring up about every parcel to be delivered by DPD as the drivers cannot be bothered to find my house. The driver either puts it in some one else's doorway and takes a photo or takes a random photo (I've even had one of a public car park) and says 'sorry we missed you'. I am on the phone to DPD at least twice a week complaining. I have put very precise instructions on the app of how to find my house but they pay no attention. Absolutely disgusting service. Yet again I have had to ring them today twice, as the depot was going to ring me back and they did not, surprise, surprise.

Your driver delivered £600 of mobile phone to the wrong address left it on the doorstep forged my name and sent a photo of someone else’s front door to John Lewis. Fortunately the gentleman who lives there has just brought it round. I paid for pre 11am delivery and I’ve now received it at 16:51 no thanks to Mario your driver.
