Very poor experience

1) The delivery took 4 weeks longer than quoted. Which upset the carpenter and plans around other tradies.
2) the rings look cheap and crack.
3) the MDF filler rings don't fit the plastic rings.
4) the inset grub screws in the steps are badly machined and crack on the slightest of tightening or some one stepping on a step (imagine that on a staircase!)
5). The support pole center bolt comes loose as the recessed bolts are machines badly. So the support now wobbles.
All in all, very very poor experience.
For the price, you're better off getting your carpenter to custom build you something.
Really disappointed.

Doesn't comply with building regs

I bought and installed an external staircase, but the building control inspector told me the stairs don't comply with the building regulations.
Upon contacting customer service for a solution, I received no reply, and after chasing, I was told that the stairs were bought as seen. Now I'm hiring metal workers to amend the staircase. Purchase not worth it. Customer service non existing.

Avoid unless you want awful customer service

Bought a space saving staircase and less than six months of use the handrail broke causing an injury. I removed the staircase for safety and emailed asking for a refund as I didn't fancy another one if the same happened. This was within my stautory rights but I was told that they had to come and do a site visit but as I had already removed the staircase there was nothing they would do. Despite nothing in law or their T&Cs that mentioned a site visit they refused to budge. Worst customer service and poor quality staircase. Avoid and buy elsewhere. Eventually refunded by the third party seller, not Dolle UK.

I will never use rhis company again

I will never use rhis company again. I ordered a loft hatch through B&Q who sell through Dolle, the hatch was too big. I tried to return it but was told it would cost me £50 for the courier fee or I could deliver it back to the warehouse in Peterborough. Absolutely disgusting customer service. I've never known a company that charges you to return the goods

Great customer service

Purchased the Toronto staircase which I am very happy with. After some adjustments to the space it was going in to, I realised I needed an extra tread. Arthur in customer services was really helpful and I was able to purchase the extra parts quickly and have them delivered the same week.

Excellent customer service and great staircase.

I am really surprised by the other reviews I just read, that was not my experience at all, I would say the complete opposite! I ordered the outdoor staircase with Trimax steps, which is fantastic, it's so sturdy and looks very smart.
I had to contact the Dolle team several times, as I needed some help and had to order some extra items. Jocelyn from the customer service team and James, the sales manager were very helpful and sorted out my issues quickly and efficiently, as well as being very friendly and polite and sending the items out quickly.
I am very happy that we found this company and bought direct from them too.

Mis-sold stairs, difficult refund

I bough a set of stairs called KRONOS which claim they 'can be adjusted to suit lower heights by adjusting the tread spacing'. There was no 'adjustment' possible, so I called Dolle UK to be told I needed to cut the thick metal. This would of needed a metal working workshop to do precisely and accurately, plus the banisters would of then needed redrilling and cutting. These stairs are in no way 'adjustable', they have to be cut and reworked to fit different floor heights! I told them the product was mis-sold, and so I had decided to return them, but they refused to pay return postage. This would of at least been courteous, but they did not apologise and refused to help.

I initiated the return, and had to pay an extra £75 to have the pallet collected. Once it was collected, they took almost a month to refund me, and never confirmed if the pallet had arrived. This process involved many phone calls and emails, and frustration. Although they always answered the phone and were polite, the person in charge of refunds was always busy/away. In the end, I had to go to my bank, submit my evidence to them, and they pushed Dolle UK to refund me.

I don't know if Dolle would have refunded me in the end, but the whole process was a nightmare, a hassle, and the product is still for sale on their site with an incorrect description. I bought stairs from OakFactor instead, who told me they actually make some of the parts of Dolle. Oakfactor stairs are much higher quality.

I would honestly avoid at all costs, unless you can see the product in person before you buy.

missing parts

Once all the missing parts had turned up the staircase itself is fit for purpose. I would even had had patience with the missing parts (as we had ordered a now standard kit with extra treads) however communication with customer service team was patchy at best and we ended up waiting weeks for missing parts, when they arrived there were still things missing. It was very frustrating and we ended up having to spend more money due to the delays.

Poor after sales

Website and quality of product are good. However delivery, service and after sales are bad. I ordered a spiral staircase with 4 spindles per tread in June 2024. It arrived after 4 weeks with only two spindles per tread and other parts were also missing. All spare parts come from Scandinavia with long delivery times. I am still waiting 9 weeks on to complete installation. After sales is very bad. No follow up, poor communication and above all false promises to put right. I am still waiting now for missing parts and have to keep chasing company with no joy so far. They just don’t follow up or get back in touch as promised. Don’t know what to do next to get parts which are a requirement for building control sign off.

AVOID

AVOID! Shocking customer service. We purchased a staircase via eBay which arrived 3 weeks later than originally planned. When it arrived it was missing half the parts. Dolle UK said these parts would be sorted but this never materialised. In the end eBay stepped in and refunded our money as they ignored the returns process via eBay. Terrible customer service from start to finish!

We ordered a vega 140 spiral staircase

We ordered a vega 140 spiral staircase. They delivered the wrong size ( which was cheaper) and with missing parts and are ignoring emails. We only discovered this during installation due to lack of paperwork. They claim that we are out of time but there is no legal time limit if the wrong product has been delivered. Terrible customer service and we are considering legal proceedings just to get our money back.
