I absolutely love getting paper subscriptions through discountmags! I accidentally cancelled 4 magazines thinking I was cancelling just a free digital issue. The customer service was excellent she was so nice and helpful. She went over what I cancelled so I can reorder again. Your service is great and I was so appreciative your excellent customer support helped me resolve so easily. I have recently purchased many magazines and I will continue to be a loyal customer in the future
Discount Mag Employee gives excellent service
After trying in vain to cancel online 5 magazine autorenewals with Discount Magazines, I called customer service and was connected to Latasha. She identified herself and spoke in a cheerful, pleasant voice. She asked my email address and immediately brought-up my account. She cancelled the subscriptions at once, reassured me that my credit card would not be charged, and sent me emails confirming the cancellations. She was very efficient. After my frustration of not being able to cancel the subscriptions online, I was pleasantly surprised how pleasant and polite she was. I am writing this review to recognize an outstanding employee.

Garbage! Paid for a year. Received 2 issues. Been trying to get money back since April. Get an email every 3 weeks saying waiting for distributor. Stay clear and far if you can. Don't recommend!!

I had called another magazine company to get some info on my subscriptions from them and got so frustrated cuz they wouldn’t let me talk to anyone until I committed to buying a medical device!

Buyer Beware - please make sure you read the refund policy before purchasing. If your magazine goes out of business, Discount Mags will NOT refund your money. While they state "Our #1 priority is ensuring all our customers have a positive experience with us"... Apparently that is not the case as the refunded amount was less than $35.00 - and that seems to be worth losing a customer over

Very unhappy customer.…
I ordered a magazine subscription back in November of 2024 and waited for the first magazine to arrive. It was April of 2025 and still nothing. I tried to get onto their site for help and it was backlogged. I reached out to them again over a week ago and finally got some response. They said they would contact the magazine and get back to us in 3-5 days. Still nothing. Very unhappy customer!I wouldn't recommend this company.

Never shipped my product then would not refund me. They said it was over 30 days. Well when you don’t respond to me for 2 weeks what do you expect! This company is a rip off! I disputed my charge and will get a refund, F’in crooks do not do business with this company!

This wonderful lady named Lawanda was the most helpful, kind, most patient and caring person I have ever have in my lifetime to help me anywhere. I am 78 years old and she helped me with her time and most important kindness and patience I was blown away. I felt like right away she was my best friend. I thanked her so much and all she said was she was going to help me no madder what!!!!!
No delivery, no response, but took my money.
I ordered The New Yorker for 2 years on 11/11/2024. DiscountMags.com accepted the payment and shows the subscription as active but I have not received a single issue. I have inquired/complained 5 times in the last 2 months and have gotten no response. I guess when a deal is too good to be true it isn't.

Amazing Customer Service!!!
I previously signed up for a year subscription to People Magazine through Magazines.com. Even though my shipping address was correct on the order they have been sending it to someone else and I could not make the change to the correct address. They don’t answer the phone and don’t respond to emails. Your price is $31 more a year but I would pay that any day of the week due to your AMAZING customer service. I called multiple times because I couldn’t get my order to process and I wasn’t on hold for more than 30 seconds!! Lacie helped me first but I had to call back a couple times and I was lucky to get John!! He stayed on the phone while we tried regular pay, Apple Pay, PayPal and nothing worked. He was so extremely patient and friendly! Lacie and John went above and beyond to help me with my order!! I finally got it to go through and this is the only place, going forward, I will purchase magazine subscriptions!! I hope Lacie and John’s supervisor(s) will get a copy of this, very long, text because they were both just the best! As I was writing this I actually just got a call from your company because I must of dialed again by mistake. Who does that?! No companies I know!! Should I need to call in the future I know it will be such a pleasant experience like this was!!
Very bad experience
Very bad experience. Purchased a digital issue of a magazine. Interface is poorly designed, full disclosure, I was in technology for 40 years designing interfaces and testing and assessing customer usage, I can be critical. Was not able to see or download my issue. Contacted customer support. Their response almost a week later told me what I already knew and suggested I look at an image of a window with arrows and directions. It was so small I could not read anything in the image and found no way to make the image big enough read. I still do not have the magazine issue I purchased! I'll never buy another item them! NEVER!

I received the best customer service I have ever had. We placed an order through Paypal. Our credit card company filed a dispute with Paypal on our behalf, but we had the credit card company close the dispute within a few days. Unfortunately, Paypal would not close the dispute and held it open for over 3 months. My credit card was charged, but DiscountMags was not paid for 100+ days. Paypal told me that since I did not personally open the dispute, I could not close it. For the entire time that the Paypal dispute was highjacked, DiscountMags customer service tracked the transaction to try to determine when it would be released for them to issue a refund. I can't imagine any other customer service doing that. Paypal finally released the funds and DiscountMags issued a refund. 10+ stars for DiscountMags, zero for Paypal.
Fraudulent Service or untrained customer service ?

Husband paid for 12 months of NewYorker. As a long time subscriber (directly through New Yorker) I have NEVER encountered such hideous and unacceptable service. I was told my husbands order (see number below) was on hold and his card reimbursed.it was not. Was then transferred to 3 different people and finally told that I had to verify all of my ‘credentials’ so they could confirm his purchase. WHAT??? This makes no sense. Next message is to BBB and my Justice Federal Credit Union Fraud Department

Zinio pricing questions, finally resolved
I grabbed a great deal for the NY Review of Books, only to find out that I needed Zinio to access it. The Zinio website seems to say that there is an additional charge after a couple of months, but nothing very clear on the DM FAQ.
Andrew from DM contacted me (copy in the response) and cleared up the confusion. He also gave me the special price that I had grabbed two weeks earlier. So I am completely delighted to get such a good price and can endorse people's praise for the customer service.

I'm trying to cancel my subscriptions. Well, first I was trying to change the address, because I moved. But their website says when I change the address it's only for their billing. If I want the magazine delivered to my new home, I need to contact the publisher. No! So now I want to cancel, but their website doesn't have a cancel option. And their phone number is not posted. Not good!
