Chabot communicatie? Zeer ontevreden!
Moeizame communicatie (chatbot?). Weigering € 188 terug te betalen voor een foute reservering die ik vrijwel direct in een duurdere heb gewijzigd. Maanden voor de overtocht.
Argument: de rederij betaalt niet terug. Maar DF is mijn zakenpartner, niet de rederij. Ik zal DF nooit meer gebruiken en raad iedereen aan datzelfde te doen.
DF have replied several times. It is hard to assess if the replies are from a person or AI. Their argument is that the booking was non-refundable and that it is the ferry company that does not provide a refund.
My dealings were with DF, not the company, so they are my business partner in this case. I advise everyone to book with the actual ferries, not DF. I will certainly never use DF again.

Het spijt ons zeer dat uw ervaring niet aan uw verwachtingen heeft voldaan, noch aan die van ons. Als boekingsagent zijn wij echter gebonden aan de algemene voorwaarden van de vervoerder.
Ons team heeft u al geïnformeerd dat u twee afzonderlijke boekingen heeft gemaakt bij twee verschillende ferrymaatschappijen. Helaas is de boeking die u wilt annuleren niet restitueerbaar, maar u kunt de reisdatum wijzigen om op een ander moment te reizen.

Had to add a roof box to my booking
Had to add a roof box to my booking, asked to agree to a 30 pound increse i agreed they then emailed me at 00:00 6 hours after agreeing to oay the 30 pound stating the price had now changed and it will be 104 8 hours later still not confirmed if this has been accepted such a joke of a service

NEVER SENT MONEY BACK!
Don't book through them. Book directly on a website of the cruise company. I have booked a ferry Barcelona - Genova. Ferry got cancelled and they did not offer me any help what so ever. I sent them multiple emails in order to at least have a refund no help. At the end you have to contact ferry company and they refunded money to Direct Ferries AND THEY NEVER SENT ME THE REFUND!!!

Amending Trips for Weeks After
The company sent amendments to our ferry ride 4 times. Each time it bounced back with a new amendment. Finally a time came through that worked with us.
We confirmed it, then less then 10 minutes later when reviewing it later noticed they had switched the date to one that was a week and a half after we would be leaving the country.
When reaching out for help from customer service they said there was no ferries available for the original date and said they would not refund the new time.
This company offers incredibly poor service and I would avoid it at all costs.
Nobody should want to ride on a scummy greedy persons boat.

Ferry cancelled but never informed. Ruined our overseas trip.
Cancelled ferry but not informed. We turn 70 this year ,arrived at port to be laughed at by ferry staff. Have photos. Zero support online and we missed 3 nights in Coron and 2 paid flights to next island. My refund note from MF states I cancelled ferry so do not qualify for insurance. Be very careful if booking from Australia.

Great and reliable booking experience
I have booked with Direct Ferries several times and have always had a very good experience. The website and the app both work smoothly and are very easy to use. Booking is simple and straightforward, and it is convenient to view all the details of the trip afterward.
Everything is clear and well organized. I honestly have nothing to complain about and will definitely continue using Direct Ferries in the future.
