I had an insurance policy for a year, without problem, but when I decided to not renew, they said it would take 5-7 days. Seven days later, still no refund so I ring only to be told that there had been a systems failure so I'd have to wait another 7 days for a refund. Apparently, if I ring before 11am, they may be able to do it the same day. Now, I have to find time during my morning, when I should be teaching to ring them again. The fact that I was told their finance department closes at 11, is unbelievable.
They took my money quick enough, but the time I have to wait for it back is ridiculous.

Rip off Company stay away, Say they tried to contact us but nothing received until yesterday 2 recovovery letters 1 x £127.69 and another for £97.31, My wife has been a faithful customer to Dial Direct and has just left the auto renew, However She was diagnosed with Alzeimers last year and is not able to take care of her own affairs, I am suffering from Advanced prostrate Cancer, and i cancelled the direct debits as we sold the cars, I tried several times to contact them but could not reach anyone, I would not recomend these people as they just want as much money they can get out of you, I am paying your rip off money even though we are both pensioners over 70 as we have never owed anyone a penny, enjoy your money,

Don’t bother, they believe it is acceptable for you to wait 45 days for a windscreen replacement after having a booking confirmed, when you ask them about it you get the reply it’s not our problem speak to the windscreen company, Auto windscreens, avoid these aswell!

Avoid at all costs.
I just changed the car on my policy, my new car is a lower insurance category but the cost has increased by 210%.
The customer service is appalling and it’s very difficult to get through to an advisor.
I also tried to change my policy from business use to social and domestic and they attempted to charge me more, they’re clearly a very greedy company.

Took out a policy, paid in full cancelled the policy 12 hours later as they demanded an extra £500, for information that was already given, refund was meant to be processed, never received full refund, phoned 4 times now, had the phone put down on me, had customer service huffing down the phone at me & still non received a refund, told 5 working days it’s been 21 working days now raising the issues with my credit card company

M&S quoted me £1400 ish last year for insurance. Direct Dial quoted me £2K+ yet are saying the value of the car has depreciated.
How the hell can you whack up a premium by £600 in 12 months and say you will pay out less.
This is just another cartel extorting money out of its customers.
I suggest you play fair because social media has a big reach these days.
