I just wonder how a company like DB still operates? On what basis? Nothing works! Cancelled trains without prior notice, announcements and information only in German (majoriry of the times), employee... See more

Apparently a delay that results in 2…
Apparently a delay that results in 2 minutes to catch the next train is considered enough by DB. No alternative ticket for me, or refund.
The worst train company in the world
The worst train company in the world. Starting fake subscriptions, suing for those. Trains never arrive on time and regularly cancelled.
Try to avoid
Disappointing
In the USA, being German is the epitome of punctuality and reliability. My actual train ICE 573 was cancelled, I had to take a train 2 hours later which was also late with a different set of cars and shortly before arrival the Plattform was changed. Needless to say I had to run to the next platform with all my luggage to catch my train. To make matters worse, the doors were obviously broken and only opened just before departure. I won't be able to catch my connecting train. Despite the accommodating arrangement to take a later train with the same ticket, I was treated rudely by the conductor because he thought I was travelling without a valid ticket. That really was the last time I travelled with Deutsche Bahn. I cannot recommend Deutsche Bahn. If you want to travel within Germany, you should take the plane.
Absolutely horrible service.
Absolutely horrible service.
Missed connection because of delays in previous connection. When I arrive at my connection, I'm forced to buy a new ticket.
First compensation response came only after a month where they only compensated partly. Which must be a mistake, so I asked them to compensate the next. It has been two months now without any response.
You scammers should pay me interest!
Our journey back got cancelled
Our journey back got cancelled, 20eu spend trying to reach customer service but no luck! Now we need to rebook for more money and wait a few weeks to get the initial journey back. Please hold the Line, we will be with you shitly!
I'm in Germany for the first time and…
I'm in Germany for the first time and was quite surprised about the good train service. Okay, they are usually late but the staff was realy friendly and helped me a lot.
Germany is Europe's biggest economy
Germany is Europe's biggest economy, and the world's fourth largest, and yet, it has the world's worst National Railway System, the Deutshe Bahn. The Railway system is plagued with strikes all year round. And the service is just not there. Often times you are even insulted. If you make a booking, the DB Navi app doesn't show untill it's too late to take the train. And often trains stop in the middle of nowhere with the doors shut which makes one feel one is a hostage of an inefficiently run Railway System.
One needs nerves of steel when you travel by DB. The minister for transportation most probably has his offices in an underground bunker, where he can't be reached. They say they are building new tracks. That's a joke. They have been saying that for over a decade. Their record of unreliability is proof. They can't manage with what they have, why bother to expand?
In Africa and the world's poorest nations, trains are more punctual and reliable. The excuses DB gives for it's delays, cancellations, and service are deplorable and pathetic. It's the same story with city Trams and buses. Either they are almost puntual or they just don't show up. Why can't it learn from it's neighboring countries? It has to be a mentality thing of wanting to show superiority.
Germany is known for punctuality, rules and regulations, which are blown out of proportion and is a farce.
A total hype. It is sickening.
My last 4 travels:
My last 4 travels:
1) 4 hours delay
2) 3.5 hours delay
3) 4.5 hours delay
4) totally cancelled without any alternative.
Horrible experience…suddenly no…
Horrible experience…suddenly no connection because of „construction“…no viable alternatives….just stupid management
Train was canceled
Train was canceled, forma refund i gave to sneed the form with the post. Terrible!
The worst railway company in the entire…
The worst railway company in the entire EU. I used DB to travel to Germany from Prague and Vienna several times. I never came on time. There are always some problems, delays longer than one hour, strikes from GDL, broken trains. The whole company is a joke. My last train was cancelled due to a strike. You would expect to get an e-mail from a serious company informing you about it, but no. DB can only send you a useless newsletter, but nobody gets there an idea to inform the passengers about the cancelled train. In the normal world one would expect that they refund you the money for the train that was cancelled, but no no. DB has its own world, where no customer law applies. Here you have to go through a complicated process and who knows whether they send you the money at the end....still waiting
Client Experience Disaster.
I tried to buy tickets online twice and both times the ERROR occurred - they took my money and I haven't seen the tickets. When I reached out to them by email they replied that they cannot assist me (like what?!) and I should call by phone. Reaching by phone is not possible as well. This company provides a client experience DISASTER. I don't recommend buying tickets online as it's just a waste of time and your money.
Never again!
All. DB is a disaster! My trip from Holland to Germany was a horror. Very cold coupe (1st class), delayed different trains, one train stoped and did not go further because of the technical issue, other trains also all delayed because of the most strange reasons (safety, the staff was too late, police intervantions, different technical problems). And that all in one day of my trip!
For me: no more DB anymore!!!
I'm still seating in the last train and we stoped already two times in the middle of nowhere...no info...just waiting and waiting.
Why do you treat your customers like this?
We pay a lot of money for our tickets!
The worst transportation company in the…
The worst transportation company in the world with no other contenders. Even the toktoks in Egypt have better service.
The trains are 1000 years old and always have something wrong with them.
Trains always running late and sometimes they don't come at all.
Very expensive.
But worst of all, is the unbelievably rude staff; hey db, maybe invest in some employee training so that i don't get yelled at everytime i get onto a bus or a train. I spend hundreds and maybe thousands of euros every year on transportation, can you make a little bit worth that money, just a little bit maybe.
Today i was trying to get onto a train but the driver was smoking Infront of the door and when i tried to tell him that i want to get on he started mumbling and insulting and stating the fact that the train has 5 other doors, well execuse me sir for wanting to use the door nearest to me, how dare i ask you to move 2 steps away so that i can get on, and when i asked him what the problem was, he started yelling like i killed his parents or something, then he says, just shut up and go in. Imagine paying around 10 euros to travel around 10 minutes and get told to shut up, what a fine service indeed. And this is only one of the very rare incident where the driver was not very rude as to use more degrading insults. Maybe getting yelled at happens always because it is a part of the experience, i don't know. From now on, everytime i get yelled at i will write another review, maybe db will have enough bad reviews to make them do something about it but i doubt that.
What a pathetic joke of an operation
What a pathetic joke of an operation. I swore the last time I travelled with DB four years ago, that I would never travel with them again. I shoukd gave stucj to that. Today, my family and I standing on the platform in Bullay awaiting our train to Luxembourg to catch a flight. Suddenly, without prior info, train cancelled. No email, nothing. Easy to see why they are sinking 10 million euros per day into never ending debt. Arschlochs.
DB sits on our money
We traveled round-trip, across Europe this October (2023) and booked on a DB train from Budapest to Karlsruhe Hbf, coming home to the US via CDG airport. While we were in the Intercontinental in Budapest, we received a notification, 48 hours before our return departure, that our train was delayed. This caused a connection problem in Munich and necessitated a re-booking ($$) with new tickets and an exorbitant phone call to their customer service.
My wife and I submitted a Passenger Rights Claim Form on October 15, 2023 for a cancelled train ticket and associated cost. This was submitted to the DB ticket office at Karlsruhe Hbf. We have yet to receive our reimbursement for the ticket and a necessary phone call to their customer service in the amount of 87,165HUF from Budapest (over an hour hold by their "English" speaking agent).
We have been patient, but it has been a month since we submitted our claim with no reimbursement. We are stressed. We are also reluctant to ever re-book with DB again and will surely let all of our friends and family know. Hopefully other potential passengers will be alerted to this potential fraud before they book.
Terrible
They will be either late or cancel your ticket, nothing in between
I was fined when updated my bank…
I was fined when updated my bank details for direct debit. DB attempted to collect payment from closed account instead of newly provided. Several emails, all ignored by deutsche Bahn but they are quick to write letters demanding cash +fines.
Worst customer service in whole europe…
Worst customer service in whole europe most likely. It is disgusting.
Deutsche Bahn worst train company and…
Deutsche Bahn worst train company and services ever ?? my 18 year old was travelling outside France for the first time ever with friends. Their train never reached its destination. They were left stranded in another city and told by employees to fend for themselves ... and still they refuse to refund him !!!
