Jazzy at Denny’s was so sweet and welcoming! She gave amazing service, kept checking on us, and made the whole experience better. Definitely one of the nicest waitresses ever 💛
The Best Dennys Ever!
I celebrated a wonderful and delicious Sunday birthday brunch at Dennys on my birthday May 17 2026. I am now 60 years young!
Signed up for the rewards program in the app previously and had a birthday award for a free "regular" Grand Slam Breakfast valued at $7.99. This option is NOT on the menu.
It consists of 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, and toast or French Toast. Eggs ordered over medium with bacon and French Toast.
My dining partner ordered the over 55 One-Egg Breakfast for $8.99 which was one egg with 1 slice bacon or a sausage and hash browns and toast for $8.69. Had we known the price of the Regular Grand Slam, we probably would have ordered that, but I think I preferred the Hash Browns over a second egg.
Hungry as we were, we decided to split the Nachos appetizer that was aboit $14.99. The Nachos came out first and were surprisingly delicious. The 2 of us couldn't finish the serving. Definitely enough for two people. Lots of toppings...had to eat it with a fork.
The breakfasts came out promptly. One over easy egg was slightly more done than the other. That should not happen in a Breakfast place or anywhere, but we didn't complain.
Coffee was plentiful and strong and only $4.19 per refillable mug. Half and half and flavored creams were in a chilled bowl on the table and our server promptly brought more when I mentioned we were out of half and half.
This was a Sunday morning around noon and the restaurant was very busy. But we received excellent, friendly service from the hostess and the server, a nice gentleman from Pakistani.
I did ask to speak with the manager about something and was told she was cooking in the kitchen because they were so busy. Great job, manager! You run a nice place with a great team and delicious well-prepared food. Best Dennys experience I have probably had in my 60 years of life.
We'll be back for our new Sunday after church tradition. The Church of Kimi meets from 10-10:45 AM right down the street. See 4Kimi.org

I was always a Denny's Fan. Very expensive menu, but expected always high-quality food. On my way from Nashville to Bowling Green, I decided to stop in a totally empty restaurant. Normally filled with truckers and overnighters who commute from Nashville to Kentucky. To make a long story short. I ordered the slam breakfast; no one can make a mistake with that. Received 3 over-easy eggs, swimming in a puddle of grease. Hashbrown half raw and another half sucking up the grease from previous cooking off the flat grill. Hard dried out link sausage, probably sitting under a heat lamp for long hours, and 2 small bacon strips. Besides the good coffee. What can go wrong? I was the only customer in that entire empty restaurant. The waitress forgot my toast and strawberry jelly. And let me know, my AARP membership of 15% discount is no longer being accepted. The Cook has to function as dishwasher, janitor, and cook at the same time. With my over the 40 years of hotel management experience. Every time new owners buy the properties, they cut corners so badly that over 250 closing Denny's is no problem. These equity owners have no Food and beverage experience and no Restaurant operator experience, then an awesome, great tax write-off. I made these two people aware, in finding new employment, cause there store is on the block of closing. As humans, you all must be ashamed of screwing employees and customers. That property was the last property in turning out high-quality food. No, I plan not to return till a Mom and Pop owners take over the joint. Thank you. Copy will be posted on TrustPilot and Facebook. And more social media. But that place has to shut down.
Poor Communication and Unprofessional Handling of Birthday Promotion
I had a disappointing experience at the Denny’s location on Tampa Ave in Northridge, CA during what should have been a simple birthday visit. I was already planning on purchasing food from Denny’s and ordered an additional meal out of pocket (the Two Meat Breakfast Scrambler) to take home. While placing my order, I noticed through the Denny’s app that I had a birthday reward available for the Everyday Value Slam, so I added it to my order as well.
To be clear, I had no issue with coming inside to verify the birthday reward. My account was scanned directly through the app, and I even offered to provide identification if necessary. The concern was that after the reward was verified, I was informed that the birthday meal had to be eaten inside the restaurant and could not be taken to go.
The app wording, from what I saw, instructed customers to come inside to redeem the reward but did not clearly communicate that the birthday promotion was restricted to dine-in only. Had this been clearly explained beforehand, the situation could have been avoided entirely.
What made the experience especially frustrating was the way it was handled. Since I was already a paying customer purchasing another meal at the same time, it felt unnecessary to treat the situation with suspicion. An employee explained that allowing customers to take birthday meals to go would result in people being “dishonest” or taking advantage of the system. Considering the reward had already been digitally verified through my account at the register, that response felt unprofessional and dismissive.
Instead of enjoying a positive birthday breakfast experience, I ended up sitting there eating the smaller promotional meal while taking the meal I actually paid for to go, which made very little sense from a customer perspective.
Policies are understandable, but customer service, communication, and professionalism matter just as much. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression and significantly changed my view of this location and the overall Denny’s customer experience.
Horrifying Experience at Denny's
I went to Dennys with my friends for a late night feast. I was horrified with the type of treatment my friends and I recieved. For context, we pushed 2 tables together as there were 6 of us.
Our waitress, Zion H., made our experience highly unpleasant. First, their attitude and behavior set the mood for the rest of our stay.
For drinks, one of my friends asked for water with no ice, they were brought water with ice. I asked for lemon for my water (3 times!) and it was never brought. When the drinks were brought, Zion H. placed them on the end of the table and said to "pass them down" they then proceeded to mix up the Coke with the Dr. Pepper and when asked which was which, stared at the both of them blankly in silence.
The table ordered pancakes, waffles, mozzarella sticks, and more. No syrup was brought for the pancakes and no marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks.
When the food finally came out, my plate was dropped on the floor. Zion H. walked away in frustration and someone else came to clean the mess. Nothing was said to me. When my pancakes came out, they looked burnt and deformed.
From the events that had occured in Denny's that night, the table felt sour about it all. I was still eating when Zion H. brought the table our checks without asking if we wanted to order more or if we had finished. Never did Zion H. come up to our table to ask if we were alright. Reminder, I had to get up and grab my own syrup from a table on the other side of Denny's.
This was a horrible experience. I was so shocked to have had such a bad experience at Denny's.
Now, I understand it was late at night and perhaps Zion H. was having a rough day. But, the amount of anomalies experienced was unacceptable and nothing was done to even attempt compensation or basic proper communication. My friends and I are college students, so we understand struggle, we understand the hussle, we understand what it means to have a rough day. We've all had them before.
But again, nothing was done to make our experience pleasant.
This isn't the 1st time this has…
This isn't the 1st time this has happened BTW. I order online, and the app says 15 to 20 mins ready for pickup. I get there the 1st time and food wasn't even being made and it was like 30 minutes after order placed. 2nd time I placed an order, waited, them head up there and they tell me my order is still being made theyre busy. 20 minutes later they tell me my order was grabbed by a doordasher. Im done with Dennys food is under seasoned also!! And the managers don't give f#^$

I went to the Dennys in Morganton
I went to the Dennys in Morganton. The food was terrible. The cook doesn't have a hair net on and got hair in my hash browns. Another restaurant that is to expensive and the food is terrible. $80 for 1 hamburger and fries. And 2 Omlettes. And 3 small shakes. My first time eating at Dennys and my last.
Denny's ripped off my money
On march 16, 2026 I went into my local Denny's to purchase a gift card for my Father. While I was waiting for the cashier to complete the purchase, I notice she didn't seem sure of herself. She in turn called in some help. They appeared to figure it out and they took my money(cash) handed me the card and receipt. After a couple weeks my father let me know he attempted to go eat at Denny's, but when he went to pay, they told him the card was empty.
I went to the store where I purchased the card and the Manager got involved. They discovered that the card was never activated. He said if the card was used up, it would simply show zero balance. This one showed never being activated. This manager said that my wife and I could eat a meal and he would cover it. Since it was for my Dad, we turned that down. We since contacted Denny's 4 times. 1 time I actually spoke to someone who said they would most likely send a new card. All other times where on their complaint form online. All times came with no follow up and no resolution. I have been robbed. At this point both myself and my Father will no longer go to Denny's and gift cards there are out of the question.
Kelsey was very pleasant and efficient. We enjoyed having her.

Horrible customer service long wait they really need to do something about this
False advertisement
Hash browns were stale. Ham in the omelette was overcooked.
The restaurant had 3 customers including ourselves so it wasn’t busy yet the waitress had to be flagged down 3 times for water, boxes and the check.
To top it off, the sole reason we went was to use a “free” reward on their App. Well turns out is a bait and switch. If the Trump administration wasn’t so incompetent I might report the bait and switch to FTC. Apparently, you have to order the “reward” on a different menu but that isn’t advised until after the bill has been placed. The website makes zero mention of this process. It once again shows a huge disconnect between corporate management and technology.
I deleted the App and have submitted a request for my money and time back. Dennys is trash.

They have just lost TWO REGULAR CUSTOMERS" Look forward to another Denniy's CLOSING !!
Today we went to Dennys for breakfast
Today we went to Dennys for breakfast. Our server was Diana, she was just lovely and so patient with us as we kept changing our order. The rest of the staff were just great too, so friendly. Food was lovely and something on the menu for everyone, they even adapted a few bits for our fussy eaters.
