DeLonghi customer service dishonest

Purchased Delonghi Magnefica Evo directly from Delonghi. Espresso machine stopped working on second day. Customer service started out great as we did a video conferencing to attempt to fix and to show proof of malfunctioning. Told over phone a new unit will be sent. Next day, received a email claiming could not send due to being located in Hawaii and instead will be refunded. Wasn’t quite sure on logic since original order to Hawaii included free shipping. Since we actually really liked the product while it worked, our intention would to the refund and repurchase. After we were verbally told the unit was going to be replaced, followed by a email stating they changed their mind due to location, we received our instructions for refund. This new email included a new reason for not replacing. The new reason was due to being sold out. Out of curiosity, we went through the process to order another unit on Delonghi website. Of course they were not sold out and the price had gone up by $100. How convenient! A full week has gone by since video conference with customer service and still non refund. Will update review on refund status.

DeLonghi Magnifica Evo Next not fit for purpose

I purchased the above machine directly from Amazon as it was recommended by a neighbour and it fulfilled all my requirements, including the frother, all in one place.

I received it in what appeared to be good condition and was eager to see the difference of using a beam to cup and a pod machine, having been a Nespresso customer for over 25 years.

As I love frothed cappaccino I decided to try one first. Total disappointment. A few air bubbles but absolutely no froth. There is no manual or fault finding included in the box.

I thought maybe I had programmed it incorrectly and maybe I just needed practice. I continued to use the machine but it still never frothed. I had had a Nespresso frother but there was no comparison. I could not work it out. It was only that my husband has been talking to the neighbour that I found out that she had had to return hers for repair for same reason!

I tried to return to Amazon - where I had bought it from as unfit for purpose as it has never worked - they did not want to know except to return
for repair. I explained and described my health issues so could not carry. Amazon did not want to know. Spoke to 11 people - did not want to know!! So much for helping the elderly and infirm.

There seems to be a real issue with this product and it is still being sold. At £500 this should not be happening. I just wanted a machine that works and I am not prepared to accept less - especially at that price. Are these faulty machines they are getting
of through Amazon and sales?

Would I recommend - definitely not.

In response to the message I received. I reiterate that the frother has not worked since I received it. It is not fit for purpose and in my opinion should be replaced. There is an obvious fault as there are other complaints about this issue. In fact my neighbor who originally recommended it to
me had had hers returned in the last week for the same fault. Her machine was several months older than mine.

Again and again the same Problem Not…

Again and again the same Problem Not solved.

He’s saying that the problem will be solved but I have to deliver the Machine back to Abdul Wahid Workshop. But the problem is still the same.
I have a serious problem with my newly bought Delonghi coffee machine. Unfortunately the agent in KSA Abdel Wahid could not fix the problem and he’s claiming that it’s fixed. I’m not satisfied at all. I need to speak to a manager.

The product is well designed

The product is well designed, beautiful colour and good quality. Contenant is 1.7 liters, which I never really use. Getting hot water is fast and not noisy. This is really great for morning tea.
Delivery was even faster than planned. The product was well packed with no sign of what is inside, waiting in front of my door same day I was returning home. Perfect.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service, my machine hasn’t worked since January. To cut a long story short, I’d tried all of the recommended troubleshooting guides then continued them (before Jan) they decided it needed a new milk carafe but was out of stock and should take 3 weeks, after 5 weeks I contacted them, they said there was nothing they could do and I had to wait, now at 6 weeks I called again when they agreed to take the machine to their repair centre and to allow 2 days from arrival then 7 days, it’s now been 4 weeks and I’ve just been told it’s assigned to an engineer 🤬I have made 6 phone calls in total trying to push it along but all bar 1 person I spoke to the response has been shocking with no method to escalate it. I would not recommend buying any delonghi product as I genuinely think they really do not care at all about the customer. Let’s see if I get it back before summer at this rate.

Be carefull of promotional offers

Be carefull of promotional offers. They promise you gifts you can never add to your cart. When you contact them after ordering, it's your fault of not adding products. I do not recommand ordering threw this website.

Missing machine

Placed an order on the 1st. Wasn’t delivered until the 10th. Parcel was repacked and I only recieved the expansion pack not the machine. It arrived in a black plastic bag and you can clearly see on the pod how small the parcel is, despite this the customer service team don’t seem to believe me and said it can take a week to investigate. I spoke to parcelforce on the phone over the weekend since De’Longhi was closed and they were more than willing to help but couldn’t until De’Longhi registered an issue. You can clearly see from the pod no machine was delivered and the fact I have to wait for them to investigate for a week is appalling. All they need to do is speak to their warehouse to see how the goods were sent and confirm the parcel is not big enough to be the machine and send me a replacement!! Switched to this brand after having three replacements from another brand and already regretting doing so.. I’d rather have good customer service!

Good Coffee Machine

Really missing my Espresso maker on…

Really missing my Espresso maker on this rainy Sunday.
I hate to be negative but I really would NOT recommend De'Longhi makers... at 4 months in, my espresso maker had to be sent out for repairs. I feel that it should have been replaced or refunded.

My machine stopped grinding beans after about 4 months of use. I took the machine apart (per the website directions) and checked the grinder- nothing was stuck or looked unusual. Very unfortunate that we spend money on a product like this for it to go out after a few short months (only usong it once or twice a week). I requested a replacement but was denied so I had to package and ship my unit back for repair. I would have preferred a FULL REFUND so I could purchase from an alternate company.

Disappointing customer service

Very disappointing customer service - that makes the customer do all the work for a faulty new machine. Failed to send a replacement part for a brand new but faulty machine, then when chased up, was told the parts service portal wasn't working so I had to make contact later (instead of them keeping the ticket open and doing when available again). All from an unhelpful 'no reply' service address. Not good enough for the premium price charged for the product. It is now months since the problem was first reported and remains unaddressed. I also have to say this machine was a replacement for one we had for more than a decade - it is interesting how little the basics that making using it slightly annoying to use haven't been addressed (e.g. won't tell you when there are insufficient water or beans to make the selected drink leading to a pointless exercise. Sadly, probably wouldn't buy a delonghi machine again
