Avoid or lose money
Avoid or lose money! This is a very poor trading platform. Used it for 8 years now. It's ok for US or Europe based shares but avoid for any other continents eg Australia. When you want to buy it doesn't connect fast enough or doesn't connect at all and when you want to sell there's no connection. And most annoyingly there's no customer service live chat for ATX etc. They shouldn't be trading in these stock markets if they can't provide a connection or customer service. I just lost another $10,000 AUD ($18000 Total ) because I couldn't sell my shares when the short sellers shorted the product. I'm selling all my shares and moving to another safer platform. Good luck if you want to stay here and lose your money.

Service is too slow and not supporting
The Customer Service is too slow and verification is ridiculous. My request is still pending to solve.
I request an Internal position transfer from 1 Degiro acc to another Degiro. However, (1) Its has been 4 months since Jun that the request not fully done, (2) Despite fully matching info, they still say its incorrect with Phone#. Please help me sort this out.

Used to be a good solid broker..now they keep changing the prices of Kernselectie, even removing EAM completely for a business model aimed at Tradegate (im sure they get paid to do so)....this is ANTI user and PRO profit. Im sad DEGIRO went this way and I will be going to mexem or somewhere else where they are actually PRO USER.

It's a great application for those performing trading activities in the Netherlands. Approved by the government, directly connected to the taxation system, one-click to submit your report to the tax authorities.
From a technical point, the interface is very convenient, easy to understand, and it's straightforward to set limit orders and just forget about them.
I've been a member for six years now, and the customer service experience was always good.

Reliable and easy
It's easy to use, fees are reasonable, and it seems secure with 2FA, so overall I'm happy.
The only thing missing, which seems pretty basic, is a chart of how much the position was worth over time.

Account not opened
Applied for opening a account. request denied due to reason which cannot be disclosed. 3 weeks of followup and end up without account opening and without any clear reason. What kind of experience you can expect as a new customer. They don't care about losing a customer or doing a follow up.

Extremely slow and disappointing account opening process
I applied to open an account with DEGIRO on 15 August 2025. The platform indicated that opening the cash account would only take a few business days, or up to two weeks in special cases. However, after more than one month, my application is still pending.
I contacted support, and after many days I only received a generic reply saying that my case was forwarded to the technical department because the registration takes longer than usual. Since then, 11 more days have passed without any update despite my follow-up emails.
This lack of communication and clarity is unacceptable. If such a simple process as account opening takes so long and requires constant chasing for answers, I cannot help but question whether this reflects deeper issues with the company’s operations, reliability, and ultimately, trustworthiness.
For a financial platform where clients entrust their savings and investments, transparency, efficiency, and responsive support should be the minimum standard. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite.
At this stage, I am seriously reconsidering whether DEGIRO is the right place to invest my money.
