Deserves zero stars but not an option

We have used the Scunthorpe pharmacy for many years with no issues but recently since a change in staff and especially since the pharmacist Sarah-Jayne has left it has gone extremely downhill, they don’t answer the phone and on most occasions it just goes straight to a voicemail, so it’s impossible to get through, I ordered my repeat medication on the Monday and usually receive these within 3 days it got to the Friday and I still hadn’t received anything, so tried calling but again i could not get through, they close on a weekend so had to wait and try again on the Monday and at this stage I had been without some essential medication for four days so was getting worried about my health, I managed to get through on the telephone on the Monday to be told by Samantha that it will take 7 days as repeat medication is now done off site, i wasn’t asked when it was ordered and was going to just get fobbed off as she had no interest in helping so I had to tell her that it was ordered and had gone through to them a week ago, so I was put on hold to then be told the items would be delivered that afternoon, but upon receiving them, one item was missing and no explanation or owing slip which we’d usually receive, so I telephoned and eventually got through and was told that they were out of stock, so I had to ask when they were expecting them, as this information was not poffered, she then checked and said they should be in stock tomorrow afternoon, so due to the telephone situation I asked if they could call or text me when they arrived to be told no we can’t do either! So again I tried calling the next afternoon 6 times but the phone was not getting answered again so I had to get my husband to go into the pharmacy to chase these up again I was served by Samantha who told me that they would make the medication up now, so I queried what she had told me on Monday that repeats are done off site so how can they dispense the repeat item now to be rudely told that she didn’t say that they were done by an external company which I hadn’t even said and her attitude was disgusting and because shehad been questioned the look of disgust on her face said it all she then just proceeded to walk off without saying thank you or goodbye, so on that note we will not be using the pharmacy again and have now changed to a more efficient/reliable pharmacy.

Day Lewis Pharmacy Blackfen

Day Lewis in Blackfen has been my nominated pharmacy for the last 5 years. Prescriptions are often delayed, not ready, or completely mislaid with notifications missed. This branch shuts for an hour at lunchtime and are not open at all on weekends. This was the last straw and I’ve now moved to another pharmacy.

Medicine wrongly labelled as something else

This morning I went to collect my repeat prescription from the collection machine at my local Day Lewis. I had ordered Losartan and Felodipine (trade name Delofine). When I got home I found 2 boxes of Losartan, okay, and another 2 boxes. The pharmacy label on the boxes said Delofine but the name printed on the box said Losartan. So I took them back. They swapped these for 2 "proper" boxes of Delofine and gave me an apology. I was in a hurry so didn't have time to pursue this further but this is really bad. Okay Losartan and Felodipine are both drugs for hypertension but with different drugs for something else the result could have been lethal. I hope someone got a severe telling off.

Absolutely shambolic. Queues for half hour every visit only to find stuff out of stock/not ready. Slow staff. Little eye contact.and spend ages looking for stuff as it’s never ready or in stock. I will drive to next town to friendly efficient chemist rather than spend my day queuing , even though it’s situated at medical centre near my house!

Zero customer service/ uncontactable

I need to speak with Day Lewis Pharmacist as they are responsible for the review of my new meds. Having not been around at the random time they called I have tried to call back but neither their pharmacies nor customer service answer the phone. A shambolic organisation

Andrea: A very helpful staff member

Andrea: Having recently been diagnosed with a progressive chronic illness, I've been having to navigate a world of new medication and Drs appointments - so I wanted to highlight how helpful Andrea, who works at the New Dispensary in Warwick, has been. Always helpful and super friendly - she has helped make sure my medication needs are met which is one less thing to worry about. Five stars!

Appalling service

When previously Church Road Pharmacy service was great. Normally have my medication delivered now unless you chase them it is not sent out. Pharmacy had my prescription 5 days went in this morning not done I also asked if someone could look at a picture of open wound for advice on what dressing to get. Still waiting after 20 minutes another person came in for bp monitor and pharmacist ignored me and took the person into another room. There was at least three of us waiting. I was then told l had to wait another 20 mins for advice and my prescription. This happened to me before and after 40 mins I was still not dealt with. With previous owners scripts were done ready and you could call in and collect without having to wait. Now there are always have to wait.
The only two efficient people are Nikki pharmacist when on and Michelle who does the delivery.

AWFUL PHARMACY

PLYMSTOCK, PLYMOUTH
Now I realise why I signed up with PHARMACY4U! Tried phoning my local Day Lewis at 9am - it just rang and rang and rang. Tried again 5 mins later, same thing! I suffer from Anxiety and did not want to go to the pharmacy itself as I know how long it takes to get a prescription. But I had to go as it was medication for my daughter (which is normally sent via Pharmacy4U) but wasn't on this occasion. I got there around 9.08am, there were to people before me. Bearing in mind I had a message from the pharmacy telling me my child's medication was ready to be picked up, I asked the ONE staff member on the till and she pulled up my daughters prescription which had not been made up! There were at least 6 staff behind in the scenes and in the pharmacy making up prescriptions. One older gentleman, who was before me, almost collapsed whilst waiting and had to leave. 35 minutes later, I'm still waiting, getting more and more anxious. I asked how much longer I had to wait and they said it was being made up! The pharmacist was as miserable as you can get, moody and unhelpful. I ended up storming out without my daughters medicine as it was coming up to 40 mins and more and more people were coming in. AUWFUL experience never again.. Miserable staff, extremely slow on dealing with prescriptions and just not a nice place to go, unless you have 24 hours to wait for your medication to me made up even though there are 6 staff members just shuffling around.

Nobody answers the phone

I was lucky enough to get an early response from my GP and my urgent prescription was immediately digitally sent to Day Lewis. This was shortly after 9:00am. After five hours and many many attempts to call Day Lewis, I am still waiting for somebody to answer the phone. EDIT - it's now to late in the day for me to make use of my medication. Resulting in me having to endure an additional 24 hours of discomfort. Thanks for that Day Lewis. I'll switch to Tesco in future.

Nitemare they dont answer the phone !! Lance Lane Liverpool

Fair enough they said my meds would be ready this afternoon (Wed 18/12) when I called yesterday morning. As its a 20 mins walk & didnt want a wasted journey in the pouring rain, kept calling from approx 1-4 p.m. to see if it was ready & the phone was constantly ringing out. They eventually decided to answer. They're supposed to send a txt to say when its ready but that never happens, as apparently its supposed to come from head office. For my next lot of meds will nominate another pharmacy on the patient access app.
