Scam from CV-ketel Nu at Ede
I live in Ede and I called the CV ketel Nu de Ede customer service (085 500 1690). Two people were sent to me to do the repair in my cv. They arrived on Tuesday, September 27, around 1 pm. Was told the problem was a piece that needed to be replaced and they charged me €804.64 for it. They said they would come back the same day after buying the new piece. They came back only at 10 pm, they didn't let me see changing the piece and said I couldn't keep the piece replaced because it wasn't allowed. They said I had to change another extra piece sensor for €362.25 which I had to pay. They took advantage of the fact that neither my wife nor I speak Dutch. And with my 6-month-old daughter at home needing water for a bath. The total was €1166.89, paid into two different bank accounts. The next day I didn't get one of the invoices and the one they sent me doesn't say anything about changing the piece, just that they came to do a job at night. And they didn't even accept to send me pictures of the piece. I asked for an evaluation from another company and they informed me that only a minimal piece of rubber was changed, which would not be even 200 euros with all the expenses.
I fell for a scam from this company. I'm looking to know how to take the appropriate legal action and if it's worth it.
In any case, I will never use the services of CV-ketel Nu again and I will do all the advertising possible so that no one else falls for this scam.
