I ordered a Lamy AL-Star pen and ran into a nib issue. Despite Cult Pens advertising a nib exchange service, I was told I'd have to send back the entire pen instead.
What really annoyed me was the postage. I was charged £3.95 twice — once for the original delivery, once to buy return postage via their website — for an item that should cost about £1.55 each way by Royal Mail Large Letter. £3.95 is Royal Mail's rate for a Small Parcel up to 2kg, so I was billed as if I'd sent something many times heavier than a pen. That's £7.90 total for postage that should have been around £3.10.
I wasn't given the option to use my own postage or a cheaper service — I had to pay their rate to return the item at all.
I sent a formal written complaint requesting a refund of the excess postage (£4.80) and clarification on the nib exchange policy and returns charges under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I've had no reply at all.
Disappointing experience from a company that's usually well reviewed — hoping this gets some attention since email hasn't worked.

Great service which made sure I got the last pen. Fast free delivery in 2 days. Very friendly staff. Thanks.
Less positive is what I expected the pen to be. I expected an exclusive pen, it is to an extent. But the pen is the same pen as the 'Tom Hessin Charles Collection Fountain Pen Highland Green' what makes it limited is the faux emerald on the top of the cap. There are only 20 of these, but my certificate shows a number over 1500, rather than 1 of 20.
All that said, the pen itself is lovely, with a beautiful resin body.

I found the Rhodia Touch Calligraphy pad here, when it's extremely difficult to find anywhere, especially at a decent price. So grateful.

Website and service was very good, sadly the Monteverde Gel refills i bought are atrocious. they gel is very patchy and like writing on sandpaper.

I almost always use Cult Pens for stationery purchases these days. Their range and quality are excellent and the service is second to none.
