This is the model or pencil sharpener that I always use. It gives an excellent sharp long point. I have resharpened blades, which works well but you also get spares. I don't think that the lid is very nice. It seems like it would be better with a mechanical hinge but it works so I am just being picky really. It holds enough shavings to be practical.
Honestly, I don't know why, but it's harder to sharpen with that one than the KUM masterpiece. It's the same mechanism, but I have to put more pressure to turn the pencil. Not for pastel pencils

VERY impressed. My Faber Castell Polychromos sharpen up beautifully with this. What an upgrade on a cheap pencil sharpener! And for only a few quid too.
I’ll need to use this item for a while before rating its quality and value for money.

This is the best pencil sharpener I have come across. It comes with spare blades, but I have never needed to use them. A previous model I had of this sharpener lasted about 15 years - in the end the plastic became brittle and broke. Would highly recommend this sharpener if you like writing with a pencil.
This is my second purchase as the first one I had was so well loved. I love the 2 step process that creates such a sharp point, it makes me want to go around sharpening every pencil I can find!

Very nice - it's great to be able to sharpen a pencil easily with a longer taper than usual. The only slight criticism is how little capacity there is for shavings.
