Quality service

Our cavalier king charles Katy died at home on the 1st Dec 23. Taken into the vets care, I was told that they used CPC Cambridge. They gave me a leaflet to choose her casket and type of cremation. Everything was taken care of. I received her back at the vets on the 18th dec. I am very pleased with the packaging, her casket which was held in a box was well wrapped for transporting and a gift card of condolence. She now resides in my bedroom in her casket, which gives me great contentment. Thankyou cpc cambridge

A Massive Thank You

Upon recommendation from our vet, we decided to give CPC a call.

They were polite and very understanding considering the circumstances we faced when calling them. We was advised full process of what will happen from point of collecting our boy from our vet, to handling him and then sending him back to us. Our boy was collected on Thurs 7th Dec 2023 and was back home with us Tues 12th Dec 2023. Absolutely thrilled to have our boy back where he belongs. I received a text from the courier this morning of delivery time and our boy was delivered within the hour slot.

He is in a nice, standard beech casket with his name engraved on and he is now back to being centre of attention again. The casket is screwed shut but am sure with a little TLC, you could easily open and transfer into another special urn/casket if need be.

Thanks for a positive experience during such a devastating time.

The beech casket is screwed closed, so if you do in future wish to open it, please do lay down a towel onto a tray before you place the casket upside down - this will stop any scratches to the name plate, and should any of Bailey's ashes have come lose from the internal bag, the tray/towel will capture them.

Trust yourself and not the reviews of the few

I was worried using this company after seeing the negative reviews after my baby Poppy was sent there from my vets.
Once I read the reviews I called CPC to ask the process and the lady I spoke to was just lovely. She was so patient and answered my hundreds of questions and completely put my mind at rest.
I requested that I collected Poppy's ashes myself rather than be returned to practice as I didn't want to wait for her to be home and it was organised with no fuss. I didn't even have to speak to my vets (thankfully!)
I collected Poppy a few days later and the older lady I saw was so kind, and handed me her ashes and the outer box was lovely, the rosebud urn was lovely and the sympathy card was such a nice touch.
I would use CPC again, but I hope not for a long time!

Very poor

My cat was sent to these people by my vet.

I got a casket back with a different cat's name on.

I paid over £300 for an individual cremattion, now I'll never trust them again.

I understand you have been liaising with our team regarding this error.

On investigation, one of our ash presentation team placed your cats ashes in his casket, but did not complete the task on the engraving machine correctly which resulted in the last entry name being incorrectly engraved onto your cats casket.

Our staff at CPC are passionate about their work and endeavour to provide the highest possible levels of service, recognising as we do the significance of the service we provide and the emotional turmoil that each pet owner is already experiencing.

I can not comment on the cost you paid at your veterinary practice as the prices are not set by CPC, but it is never our intention to cause any further distress to an already bereft pet owner and on this occasion it is obvious we have, for that we can only apologise.

Excellent staff gave kindness and empathy

I said goodbye to my beloved dog today with the help of the wonderful staff at the CPC Cambridge pet crematorium. I decided to attend her individual cremation and I am so happy I did and I feel it’s given me some sort of closure. From the first telephone call taken by Stacey who was so kind and caring to the the lovely Vivien who had so much empathy and helped me see my darling Harper go on her final journey. I was unsure whether to attend but I am so glad I did and I would assure anyone to go and say goodbye to your pet and take their ashes home with you I will be forever grateful to the lovely staff 🙏

The minute I called, I was so pleased that I’d been given their details.
Making arrangements was easy and the gentleman I spoke to at Cambridge was really patient and kind and explained the process for me.

Very disappointed with the service had…

Very disappointed with the service had to call them a number of times to find out when the courier was going to deliver our pet dogs ashes and every time we called they were more concerned about when we had paid the bill !! It turns out that a third-party courier company that had sent a text message to say there was a delay were delivering on behalf of them and they didn’t even know this was going on. They gave me a consignment number but they didn’t know if it was correct it just seems a complete shambles when you call them nothing is logged regarding your conversation with them as you seem to speak to someone different and they don’t know what’s going on you really don’t need this stress when you have just lost a loved one and I don’t think CPC have a clue about that. My Pets ashes were delivered a day late however CPC did not call me to tell me this was happening neither when I made a complaint did they bother to call me when the lady on the phone said she had to put a complaint through to the manager/owner and still to this day have I received a call from them with an apology explanation etc etc I would never use this company again and would urge anyone else to look elsewhere because this has been such an upsetting time for me and my family and you really don’t need any added stress that CPC have caused. Avoid this company !!

Unfortunately, we only the same access to data on deliveries as the public and we are very sorry for the frustration felt. I will ensure that this feedback is passed on to the cremations department.

Without knowing which PDSA your pet was taken to, would you be able to advise who you spoke with or which site?

Would like to say a massive thank you…

Would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at CPC Cambridge for looking after my mums cat Sparky. Especially thanks to Stacey who was with us on the day of viewing and talked us through step by step of what would happen. They done a wonderful job Sparky looked so peaceful just looked like he was asleep. It gave my mum closure as she's never been there before. It was clean and tidy in reception area and viewing area was presentable and clean. Thank you so much.

On the recommendation of the PDSA, I contacted CPC to organise an individual cremation. Our beloved Lab, Benji, had to be put to sleep & along with the PDSA, CPC were so supportive & helpful. I cannot find fault in them at all. I first spoke to Reuben at CPC & thereafter a few female members of staff who made this heartbreaking process easier to get through. Benji arrived home today in a beautiful wooden box we chose. Thank you so much CPC. I wouldn't hesitate to use you again in the future. Sue

Disgusting

After all the upset we had over our cat,almost 4 weeks later we are still not able to bring this whole grieving process to an end as I'm still having to contact this awful company and their awful employees,chasing my payment.this company have no care about anything other than profit..please do not use this company.Im sorry the day I let my cat go, I wish I would have buried him myself. Disgusting.

Compassionate team

We recently went through the devastating reality of losing our cat (Tinkerbelle) who was sadly run over. The minute I contacted CPC, I felt that they understood how I was feeling as I was unable to communicate properly over the phone and all I was shown was patience and compassion.
I read all the reviews before contacting CPC and saw some bad reviews, but I was recommended them by my sister (she used CPC when she lost her rabbit earlier in the year) so I gave them a call and I am so pleased I did.
We received Tinkerbelle back in a gorgeous scatter tube with a rose on and also a lovely sympathy card.
Thank you CPC for looking after our baby. I wouldn't hesitate recommending you to my friends.

All this company does is give you false hope!! Cpc do not care for animals as me and my partner witnessed first hand at their Sheffield location!!!! Unfortunately we had to have our 12 wk old puppy put to sleep on Saturday the 2nd September 2023 and was quickly rushed into making a decision by the vets to have our beautiful little puppy cremated by cpc, after we made our decision something didn’t quite sit right with us after reading all the AWFUL REVIEWS ABOUT CPC!!! We decided to go and collect our blue eyed girl from our vets on Monday morning when we got there we was told she had already gone to CPC we were heartbroken !!! As we had decided to bury our baby girl at home as we didn’t trust CPC, the vets quickly called to ask if they would not cremate her and told Cpc we would be going to pick her up and bring her home cpc agreed to this. We made the one hour journey to pick up our Luna it took us ages to find the location as it’s not very well sign posted upon finding the place finally we went to reception and was told they would go get our baby from the van that they where unloading imagine my shock to see frozen pets in yellow see through bags with black cable ties being taken off the van passed to another man who was tossing the poor animals into a big building bag no care was used when placing these poor animals into the bag they were literally thrown!!! It took at least 5 minutes to find our baby who was at the bottom of the pile!!! We were finally reunited with her I could clearly see it was Luna because of her distinctive marks on her head with the bag being see through which was very distressing to me as the vets assured me I wouldn’t be able to see her !!! Which was clearly a lie !!!! The man hand Luna to me and said IT HAS BEEN PUT DOWN AS A FRENCHIE !!!! which I found very rude and I corrected him telling the man she is a frenchie and her name is Luna, the woman then tried to hug me which I didn’t appreciate I wanted to take our baby home !!!! And take her away from what I had just witnessed !!! I’m so glad we took our baby home we was very lucky !!!! She is bow at peace at last back home where she belongs, please feel free to reply bk to This post Cpc because I would love to know why lies you make up about this review !!!!

If it was an option I would not give…

If it was an option I would not give them any stars!! Avoid this company like to plague!! Vets should be ashamed for using them.
They make out they all dogs will get an individual cremation that have paid for it but they don’t they put them all in together.
I have first hand witnessed today them getting around 30 plus dogs out of a van that was all pilled on top of each other and throwing them ( and I mean THROWING) them into large building bags! Thank god we went to rescue our dog from them today before they threw her too! They still took £50 aswell and refused to give that bag. Our dog has been squished and was right at the bottom of the pile! I hope people get to see this review before it’s to late and they end up with multiple dogs ashes and there dog being mistreated at there final steps in this world before they go over the doggy rainbow !

I will be reporting this company as it’s disgusting and the fact our beautiful dog was completely squished because she was at the bottom of the pile is disgusting clearly you don’t have pets or morals or care.

My partner was hugged by a lady she didn’t have a choice in the matter because she was holding our dead puppy!

There is a big reason that my partner Jemma couldn’t walk up and collect our dog cause if she had of got closer she would have witnessed what I saw! You tried to usher us to the car because we was to close to witnessing what awful things you was doing. I walked off to my car as i couldn’t stand there and watch it anymore!

I am sorry to say that your review is completely inaccurate.

All animals which has been requested to be cremated individually are done so and the fact that multiple pets are collected from a collection from a veterinary practice does not change this.

When you arrived at our site yesterday there was a van unloading, and what you actually saw was clinical waste bags being unloaded into waste bins (rigid not bags). From a distance, vet bedding and such items can look like fur, but I can assure you that no pets were thrown anywhere!

With regards to the money, this is between you and the veterinary practice as no money exchanged hands between yourself and CPC, so we did not keep any money from you.

We are very sorry that you have lost your pet and we understand that it is a very emotive time, so our team are very sensitive to this and when we handed your pet back to you, we wrapped her in a blanket and gave her back to you as requested by your veterinary practice. When you left you even hugged one of the team, so to write this review is very confusing.

UPDATED RESPONSE: We have reviewed the CCTV and your review is inaccurate. There were 2 vans on site when you arrived.
One was a courier van collecting ashes and one was our company van returning which was blocked from view and what was being unloaded was clinical waste, not animals.
We do not put waste on top of pets, nor do we store them in a car park.
Therefore you are mistaken with what you saw.

Losing my Lulu was very hard but the lady I spoke to was very kind and made the upsetting process so much easier. Lulu is now home in a beautiful urn. Thank you.

I visited the garden of remembrance at…

I visited the garden of remembrance at cpc Cambridge and found it well looked after . Also, I think it's really thoughtful of cpc to place token ash from communal cremations in the garden and commemorate with a plaque. I have also had some email communication with CPC Cambridge and have always been very pleased with their responses.

Let down.

As every pet owner knows, when your pet dies it's heartbreaking. Having decided to take my dog to Cambridge Pet Crematorium myself, which was difficult, I was hoping for caring service. On arriving at reception, after a few minutes I was met by a man who didn't introduce himself and took my details. He said that if i brought my dog in, he would take him from me. When I brought my dog in, to my surprise, he just wanted me to hand my dog over stood there in the corridor. It was left to me to ask if there was a room where I could lay my dog to say my goodbyes. Hardly a caring approach to grief.
A couple of days later I returned to collect my dog only to find that he was placed in the wrong casket. Not what I needed but soon rectified. I queried the price as I had paid for a individual cremation and keepsake box but the price didn't reflect this. To my surprise they had charged me extra because I had brought my dog to CPC and charged me for a "speedy service", neither did I ask for this or was this explained to me at any time, nor does it mention this on the website.
I decided to make a complaint via email, which appears to have fallen on deaf ears. If you're expecting a response in 24 hours then forget it! 9 days later and two sent emails sent and no reply from a company who's motto is "CPC Cares"
I suspect that the only reply I might receive will be a very generic response to this review saying how sorry they are.
I hope I never have to use this company again who like the vets service prey on the emotions of pet owners by over charging for poor service.
Update, (21.08.23). As I suspected still no reply to emails sent on the 2nd August. So much for acaring service.

We always to advise that there are additional drop off/attending charges as we never want this to come as a surprise, so for you to be unaware is not only upsetting for you, but unacceptable to us. We do advise there are additional charges on our website, so I will request that this information is highlighted more.

I will raise the issue of your emails to the Head of Customer Care immediately as all emails are responded to within 24 hours, so again this is very surprising to us as there have been reports of issues with our email system.

Arranging everything over the phone was no problem, the lady was considerate and kind.
Only things I'm upset about is the beech casket comes sealed and can not open and family want some ashes in memorial necklaces that have purchased so really upset about that if I known it came sealed and could not open would not have had it.Plus I'm angry that I never got notice that mollys ashes were arriving today no text call what so ever that's out of order.

Christine and Michael,heartbreaking to lose our little princess Zoe.

Cremation Id.,P2079684.Thankyou CPC Tewkesbury for individually cremating our absolutely amazing and wonderful little 16yr old Jack Russel Zoe,she was a whole lot more than a pet to us,everybody loved her,she was our fantastic friend and true companion and she loved us just as much as we loved her and now we feel some small comfort in having her back here with us positioned in the home where she spent so many happy years and now lay resting inside her oh so cute little brass personalised sealed beech casket complete with such a lovely sympathy card,we felt the dignified service in which CPC provided for us was second to none,impeccable in informing us along the way of Zoes' collection day from our local vets right through to her delivery day with a text beforehand giving us a 2 hour slot,the whole process only taking 10 days in getting Zoe back home to us.The service in which you have provided for us is a credit to you all at CPC so we are sending you our sincere thanks to your fabulous team.

Amazing company

We had to have our 16 year old Yorkie Alfie put to sleep and the vets recommended CPC. The process was very smooth and I called up a few times to check what was happening and if he’d been collected from the vets etc. It was a very distressing time and I could barely speak over the phone due to the emotion but the staff were great. We received Alfie’s ashes back in a beautiful little wooden casket with a sympathy card that stated the date he was cremated. It brought comfort at a very difficult time.
