Evaluating 268 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with customer service, describing it as terrible, unhelpful, and difficult to reach, often encountering rude or disrespectful staff. Customers also reported issues with product quality and accuracy, such as receiving incorrect items, or products that malfunctioned or were spoiled shortly after purchase. However, some customers noted positive experiences with kind and helpful staff, praising their willingness to go above and beyond in service. A few also found certain products reasonably priced, offering good value for high-quality items. Conversely, a small portion of people felt that membership fees were not justified by the pricing, finding competitors often offered cheaper alternatives.

OPEN AND CONFIRM PRODUCT AND SERIAL NUMBER IN STORE BEFORE LEAVING!!!!

I purchased Airpod Max2 headphones online from Costco. They were received several days later. They arrived in a new, sealed box as they should have. After trying them out I was not satisfied with the sound quality so I drove an hour and a half to my local store to return them. Upon inspection at the warehouse it was determined that Apple packaged a completely different pair of headphones inside of the box I received. The model number didn’t match. The serial number didn’t match. The Apple care I purchased was not attached the headphones because of the mismatched serial numbers. I have spent an entire week going back and forth with Costco.com customer service and Apple to try to get a return resolution. I did not get what I purchased and am not at fault in anyway. I am a victim of an error made by either Costco or Apple and yet neither company will make this right.

I was told by Costco that they will have to eat the $600 pair of headphones and accept my return. THANK YOU COSTCO FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING!!!!!

I spend a ton of money with Apple but they would rather lose my business than believe that a mistake could’ve been made without malus on my end. I have asked every person I have talked to at Apple to simply google if mis match serial numbers and/or products happen when purchased from Apple directly or Costco. Because guess what it happens. Not the first time and won’t be the last. Apple customer service won’t even let you talk to a supervisor. I want someone high up to know that there is an issue in there warehouse somewhere and look into it so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Can’t get anyone on the phone other than a basic customer service rep. This is not customer service.

My advice to any Apple user is to never purchase an Apple product outside of Apple’s physical store and make sure you open and confirm right there before leaving that you are getting what you thought you purchased. This is the most frustrating thing I have ever experienced and now I have to choose to end my spending with Apple as a result. I will not support companies that do not stand behind their products, their policies, or their customers!

I am writing Costco optical

I am writing Costco optical. I love Costco have gotten many pair of glasses from them. My last set of glasses were similar to my previous prescription, but I got them anyway both the sunglasses and the glasses cause double vision at night. It’s very difficult. I cannot read any signs. I’ve been wearing them now for a while and they haven’t gotten any better. I called Costco optical, and the optician had the nerve to say to me without asking to see the glasses without doing my prescription without looking at anything told me to go to a neurologist I am shocked that optician needs to see a psychiatrist. How dare they tell me to see a neurologist because their glasses are messed up my prescriptions from my previous sunglasses are almost the same. I do not have double vision with them. How dare they not take a look at the glasses redo the prescription no go to a neurologist. Makes me want to stop using Costco, but I love Costco there optical department in Pompano Beach is horrendous. The doctor should not be there Fire her I don’t know the exact date that should not matter

Worst experience I ever had was today…

Worst experience I ever had was today at Wesley chapel, Florida Costco. I have the membership for long time, Costco is getting very bad day by day, I had membership for my self and my wife, we shop together all the time, so I canceled mine and transferred it to my son, today as usual we went to Costco, at register her card is in my hand and her credit card also, and the cashier name Billy start to argument with me that since the card is not on her hand I become guest and can not purchase anything with credit card.

Excellent employee experience

I'm not sure if this is the proper site to recognize an outstanding Costco employee but after visiting Costco over the years,I just want to highlight an employee in the Lawrenceville,NJ location, MAHA. Over the years Maha has helped us buying silver bars, sunglasses and been a friendly welcoming person at the check out counter and greeter. He makes us feel special and actually want to shop at Costco more! He is knowledgeable about Costco's products. We feel Maha is an excellent and outstanding emplyee. We have been to other Costco stores but Lawrenceville still remains the best !!

Don't buy tires from costco

Don't buy tires from costco. Told us only one brand was allowed to be put on our cars, charged us double what they go for elsewhere, then the tires never showed up! When we asked for a refund a month later, they said they could only give us cash. We spent thousands. Then they shrugged their shoulders and asked if we wanted a check. Costco is the worst at customer service and tires. No one knows what they're doing.

Bathrooms located outside

Bathrooms located outside. When you go in the entrance if you come with big wave of people you cannot see the white signs saying that the bathroom is closed, so you walk all the way across the store when you get there the bathrooms have a tiny sign that say restrooms outside written in small letters. when I ask why no sign outside? I was spoken down to like I couldn't read the signs, I could if I could have seen them The people at the front door should have been telling everyone about the construction, why are they just standing there waiting for someone to scan their card and see the green light when they could be saying out loud the bathrooms are closed, you have to go there to the right they could have been saying that because the signs that they have posted are blocked when a large wave of people walk through together. I never saw those signs The bathroom outside were dirty, the handles to walk up and down the steep stairs were loose so you couldn't even grab the handle good to pull yourself up as if you are at an amusement park ride, there were no handicap restrooms there were two that were low but they still had a hump, a wheelchair could never fit into them. The most mismanage Costco I've ever seen. I only gave two rating because they did have better pizza than any other Costco I had been. Something needs to be done with the attitudes of the people who work there and the people who clean there A woman in a wheelchair was coming past and the girl who was taking the trash out stopped her cart right in front of the woman and left it there The woman had to go around her 10925 Baltimore Ave, Beltsville, MD 20705

I am outraged with Costco

I am outraged with Costco. A year ago, I bought a set of four new tires. A few weeks ago, I started noticing a slight loss of pressure in one of the rear tires. Yesterday, May 20, 2026, when I got home, I backed the car into my parking spot and noticed something stuck in the tire. I got closer, thinking it was just a stone, but it turned out to be a screw. Unaware that doing so could void my warranty, I removed the screw and inserted a plug. I then called Costco Tire Services and scheduled an appointment for that very same day at 7:45 PM. Upon arriving—and after the tire had been inspected—the technician informed me that he couldn't do anything, that I had voided the tire's warranty, and that he couldn't even apply a patch, despite U.S. regulations permitting it. What a disgrace for such a massive company to refuse to apply a simple patch! With the wheel already dismounted and the tire off, I—being a customer of both Costco and Sam's Club—called Sam's Club instead. They told me to bring the tire in; since I am a "Plus" member, they explained that it didn't matter if I had purchased the tire elsewhere—they would fix it to ensure it was safe, and they would even balance the wheel, all at no cost. Costco left me feeling frustrated—and, worst of all, without adequate safety for my family. After this experience, I'm better off sticking exclusively with Sam's Club.

5-Star Review

I absolutely love Costco. It is one of my favorite places to shop because the quality, value, and customer service are always excellent. Whether I’m buying groceries, household items, snacks, clothing, or something for the family, I always feel like I’m getting a great deal.

What I appreciate most is the consistency. The stores are clean, organized, and fully stocked, and the employees are always helpful and professional. Costco makes shopping easy, affordable, and enjoyable.

I also love that Costco offers products I can trust, from fresh food to everyday essentials. It truly feels like a store that cares about its members. I highly recommend Costco to anyone who wants great prices, great quality, and a great shopping experience.

This review is for Costco and Dyson

This review is for Costco and Dyson. It seems folks mainly leave negatives here. I get it. I found Trust Pilot after getting ripped off twice by china based grounding sheets people.
But I’m overjoyed regarding both Costco and Dyson so I must review. First of all Costco tries to sell things that are great and very seldom they are not and I never see those things there again if they aren’t . Next, it doesn’t matter what you’re looking for, it’s always a better price at Costco plus the warranty is longer and usually comes with extra stuff. Not to mention the amazing return policy which should remove all negative feedback because if you aren’t happy with what you bought, just take it back.
Now for Dyson, I bought my first vacuum long ago. I used to buy Kenmore canisters and they were expensive but the hose would always split too soon so I went to Sears to buy another and they had a Dyson rep there showing the canister vacuums and she jumped up and down on the hose and it didn’t hurt it at all! SOLD! It was more than the Kenmore but I was sick of rebuying vacuums so I spent the money. It’s been years and it still works but of course I had to buy the cordless and a few years later the newest model etc and the only thing I’ve ever had to replace is the battery and filter after years of a full carpeted house (except for kitchen and bath) I give away my old ones to nieces and nephews still working. So I just bought the Dyson v15 detect so I can clean my real wood floors in my kitchen with it. Wow! This thing is amazing. The Shark thinks it is comparable to Dyson?? I had just vacuumed with a barely used upright (not cordless) Shark I had bought from a person for a rented space and then took the Dyson in next day and had to dump the dirt holder 3 times. And it’s true, they never lose suction. They click together easily have attachments that work well.
I also have the Dyson hair dryer and just ordered the fan.
Thank you Dyson for creating a great product every single time and thank you Costco for saving me money.

Will never again purchase an appliance from Costco…

Purchased GE Profile microwave from Costco online. Delivery and installation went smoothly. Noticed uneven heating of food items (scorched near edges, still frozen toward center), but hoped it would correct with usage. It did not, so I contacted Costco, but was told I'd missed the "cut-off" window of time during which an exchange could be made…that, per their regulations it was no longer a "Costco problem” and I must deal directly with GE Repair Services. I did. The issue persisted after multiple visits by GE technicians — even after parts were replaced. I was getting nowhere, so I turned to Costco once again for some support. Spoke with several “service supervisors” at their home/corp offices in WA (I have pages and pages of copious notes as to whom I spoke with, the topic, dates, etc). I heard sweet-talk time after time, but Costco would not budge from their stance and did absolutely NOTHING to help this 35-year Costco member. Why did I purchase the appliance from Costco in the first place? Because I’d done so in the past and never had an issue, and because Costco has always supported their customers. There are many other reputable appliance stores out there where my next purchases will be made.

Don’t trust the salesperson: get it in writing!

We purchased a TV from Costco in Mechanicsburg, PA, after we were assured the 3 different times we went to check the price that a technician would come and install it. Today, weeks later, it still sits here uninstalled!? We returned to Costco to pursue the issue. Sayek and Scott assured us a technician should have contacted us. They said they would pursue it. Sunday, Sayek called, gave me the number of the company that delivered the TV and provided the technician. He said we should call. My husband called. He was told Blake that it wasn’t happening! After a while he said he would deduct $25. from the bill! Soo, the tv still sits here!
Kudos to the customer service trainers for the training of Scott and Sayek! Never, in my 80-plus years have I dealt with two such pleasant people while being constantly lied to and, for all practical purposes, swindled by!

On December 1

On December 1, I tried to order a printer, no matter what I did on my Apple phone or my computer, which is not Apple I could not get this to work call people and customer service code 2 or three numbers. Nobody seemed to wanna help me they said they had no technical support. I was really upset because it’s a big company and I would think that they would have people out there. I was told you have no technical support in this company for a customer if they’re having a problem on the Internet, putting in the sale for a product that says Internet only so I was told to me on the phone that they could not help me, but I could go into the store and someone there would help me put this order in. I went to the store store number 357 there I met a person her name was NARDA on her tag is said customer service supervisor I explained to her the problem I was having she looked at me she said let me see what I can do to help you. We went to the computer department. They couldn’t get it to work at your 45 minutes to an hour she realized there was nothing we could do, but she promised me that she would get to the bottom of it and figure out what to do to get my printer ordered. The prom was on November 20. I was going to have surgery for cancer. I was concerned I wanted to save the money on the sale. It was $110 off. She gave me her phone number to the store also wrote down her name because I’m 70 years old and I have a hard time remembering things. She was very considerate and kind and she really went out of her way. We must’ve spent an hour and a half to two hours trying to figure things out. We tried every different way but loose and nothing seemed to work . The next day I called her back.
When I call that number, someone answered, the phone asked me a few questions. I explained what was going on. They asked me to hold on for a few minutes and they would get her a few minutes later. She came on the phone and she asked me how things were going was I able to order my printer? I told her now is still doing the same thing so she said to me I’m gonna call 800 number and talk to someone in customer service and see if they can help you so she called back and left a message because I was not able to answer the phone. I was talking to my doctor so I called back and she answered the phone. She asked me hold on for a minute. She was very polite about it. I said no problem. She said she is going to call 800 number . After she called that number and explained everything that was going on she gave me the Number 800-774-2678 to call the woman that answered the phone. Her name was CLETA. This was amazing. It took me about 10 minutes to explain everything to her and so she asked me to do a few things on my phone then my computer and we couldn’t get anything to work. This woman stayed on the phone with me for at least 45 minutes to an hour. She was not willing to give up. She was determined to help me get this printer ordered, knowing that I was gonna have surgery for cancer on May 20 and she knew how bad I wanted to get this printer before the surgery. So I could save money on the sale. If I had surgery on May 20, if anything went wrong, I might not make it back to order it after the sale was over, which is the end of May finally after all options were used up we decided the best thing to do was to sign out of my Costco app and then delete it then sign in under a different email once I did this the order went through very smoothly. I couldn’t think that two people that made my life so much easier even though there was a lot of complication they didn’t give up. I try to give her a Google review, but three4 seconds went by and there was no recording. Asked me to leave a review on how good she was so I decided that I needed to send a letter to corporate and let them know how these two employees went really out of their way to make sure that I was happy.

I do like a lot of their products, BUT

I do like a lot of their products, and the store is close by. But every time I go thru the line, I get the feeling that I'm guilty of hiding merchandise. First at checkout, the girl pre-scans my membership and all the items in the basket. then when I'm paying the cashier scans my membership again (it's like two feet between scans). When I get to the exit the person looks at my receipt and then the basket. No, I did not add stuff between the cash register and the exit! Feels like every member is a potential thief. Definitely not close to the smooth checkout at SAM's Club.

Poor Service on Laptop from Costco

Do not purchase your next laptop or computer from Costco - their warranty services suck and they do not back up the products they sell.

Purchased a Lenovo laptop computer from Costco based on my confidence in Costco’s Concierge service would take care of any problems. Within 6 months the Lenovo laptop started malfunctioning. Be warned that after 3 months of purchase, Costo will not allow returns but will insist that you have to go through a repair process. Based on my experience this can take up a lot of time and may require multiple repairs. Meanwhile you will be without your laptop - which can really hurt if you are a student or run a business.

All Costco will say is some platitude like, ‘I hear what you are going through.’

I thought Costco stood for good quality products. But it turns out that they are perfectly happy to sell you a lemon and leave you with the time and trouble to get it fixed.
