Watch out for COINSTAR, inaccurate count, excessive fee, if you call the 800#, it's a waste of time!!! Do yourself a favor, avoid this company! I give them 0 stars!

Coinstar is a rip off. It never counts ur coins correctly and they keep raising the price up.
I did 5 test at different locations and got ripped off each one. .

Used the one in Fry’s on Mill and Southern in Tempe. Fine, I knew it was going to force me to pick a lame companies giftcard. But the code is printed on paper where the ink starts fading IMMEDIATELY. I could still read it, but the company (DoorDash) said it wasn’t a real code. I tried everything and it didn’t work. So… they literally just stole my money.

Terrible,,,,,,placed coins into machine. Had choice of company we wanted a gift receipt. Picked Lowe’s. Machine dispensed gift receipt. Went to Lowe’s and purchased items. Cashier said there is $0 on this receipt. Paid Lowe’s with cash. Called coinstar they said yes receipt was issued. If the money is gone you or someone in your household spent it ,,,ask them! Do not go to them!

Cinq by coinstar is a rip off bought crypto from them now can’t access it. They lock my account and can’t tell me why they did. And tell me to get a letter from the police to release my money to me.

Don't ever use this coinstar it is the biggest rip off ever.

I was attempting to gain cash from my coins at A coinstar kiosk inside Walmart. The machine accepted my money then stopped saying “transaction has been cancelled.” Upon asking store employees for help. There was no reply as they didn’t have keys to service machine. I called customer service and my day only got worse. Customer Service Rep couldn’t give me a straight answer on how I would get my money back, then to add insult to my already bad experience, she asked me “how much money had I put into the kiosk?!!” I will never use Coinstar again.

If I could give minus 9000 stars I would. Couldn’t even come close to find a solution to my problem, which was my phone being international, had to figure it out myself because they have animals for employees, which is why they kept hanging up on me, some clowns were laughing at some point in the background because they were absolutely clueless. This company is a joke stay away.

Cinq by Coinstar is the worst ATM deposit, I deposited funds into my account after I had verified my account, they held on to my money for weeks and later said everything was sorted and I could have access to my fund. just last week, they repeated same thing, now my money is sitting in my account and I don't have access to it. I have called and it seems the customer service doesn't know what they are doing, they have promised to call me back on several occasion but nothing from them. I need my money back

These people are involved is enabling some of the biggest "virtual currency" scams going. They will take your cash and give it to someone else and then claim they no longer have your money. Even though is was cash and is now sitting in their bank account. They just wash their hands of you and tell you that you will get nothing back!!! Stay away from these people!!

I tried to use my coinstar voucher immediately and was told by asda their system isn't working. A week later it still isn't working.

Is it a joint con or just coinstar con?

I changed cash at Asda Hatherly Cheltenham. I tried to use my voucher that evening and was told by the sales assistant that I could not use it as they could not give me a change. She suggested I take it to the customer service desk, but I decided to use it on a different day. I went to Asda Cheltenham on 10/12/2023 to use it and was told I have to use
it on the day; that is unclear as at the bottom of the receipt, it says, use it today in the store. Coinstar website recommends you use it on the day to avoid losing it or having it stolen; nowhere does it say, you MUST use it or lose it. I was ROBBED of /7.85.UPDATE. 16.07.2024.....I wrote to Coinstar and explained that ASDA of Cheltenham refused to honour my receipt because I had waited 14 days, and they said I should have used the voucher on the same day. This is only a recommendation by Coinstar; there is nowhere in the terms and conditions that states, your receipt is invalid if you dont spend the money on the same day. I wrote to Coinstar and I am very happy that they paid me my money.....Yes it says on your receipt. Use this today. That is only a prompt to prevent loss or theft.

Just spend all your coin. These guys cheat you.
