It was able to "recover" the files from a disk, but none of the mp4 files were able to be played.

Like magic! The reality is that Disk Drill is real, brilliant and well-thought-out software. I love that CleverFiles gives the opportunity to try it out before purchasing. The online reviews and comparisons put Disk Drill at the top of the list, and I'm so glad I chose this product. It literally pushed two months of frustration and anxiety out the window.

2021 iMac with M1 silicon chip, Sequoia 15.1.1, Disk Drill version 5.6.

Like so many others, the upgrade from Sonoma to Sequoia came with a few issues, now resolved in updates. But in the meantime, all but one of my external hard drives became inaccessible and I could see them in Disk Utility but they wouldn't mount.

On my Mac, the drive was full. Everything that could be transferred out, was, to 3 new external drives. One was especially important because prior to the Sequoia upgrade (end of September 2024) I transferred 1/2 TB of vital video files that were critical to my work. My plan was to make a backup copy to another external drive. However, before I did that the Sequoia upgrade came out, and I installed it. It had a few problems (now remedied). One of those was that it had difficulty with external drives, in some cases not seeing them at all. In the 2 months I waited for the fix, I tried everything, including downgrading back to Sonoma in the hope that my external drives would still be recognized. Even Mac's Disk Utilities' First Aid didn't work on that critical drive, telling me that everything on the disk should be backed up because the disk was corrupted. Well, how could I do that if the drive wouldn't mount? After 2 Sequoia updates my other ext. drives mounted - except for that one important one. I even went back to the place where I had purchased it and they told me that sure, they could recover my files but it would cost me $500. After quite a bit of online research, I decided to try Disk Drill. The cost of the Pro version is 1/5 of what the store wanted. It worked brilliantly, and was so easy to use! When the process finished, I had all of those precious files back, copied onto another ext drive and I have since made a duplicate. I then reformatted the corrupted disk, and it is fine now. What a relief! Thank you so much for this amazing software!

So glad I found Disk Drill. Works amazing. I lost 36 audio file recordings when I mistakenly formatted the my memory card. Sure enough Disk Drill recovered all 36 files in less than an hour. Back to work on my project! If you need disk recovery just buy Disk Drill. It works so good.

Lifesaving product it have saved me more times than I can count on both my hands. I'm ever thankful for that. not just there product is +5 but even there support is not fair with just 5 stars.

First of all you have a great product, which I used in a previous version. Secondly I have bought many applications but I've seen for first time so classy and excellent after sales support in a really complex and difficult problem from the company and my conduct person! It is really excellent to have one and the same person (private) supporting you as he understands better customer's problem. I congratulate the company for its quality and the quality of its personnel. I feel obliged to say "Thank you Mit a lot you saved my files and my time. 5 stars++".
PS: I recovered a fully loaded Toshiba 3 TB disk after a power failure loss, with an almost 95% succcess. My only suggestion to give more files with their existing name if it is possible. But another application gave me back the names, but only 50% of the files was working! Disk Drill found 12,500 bad blocks proposing backup. Thank you all again I was dissapointed not waiting to solve the problem.

David did, as he helped me out. However the service is great disk drill managed to recover pretty much all of my data with little to no damage at all. Happy with everything.

In the blink of an eye, I deleted thousands of images from my Leica's SD card - - RAW images taken over months and months. Yes, I was an idiot. I was also in despair.

Did some investigation, tried one program which saved quite a few, but they were fragmented and just a mess.

At last I discovered Disk Drill PRO, and although it was expensive, they allowed me a 50% discount because I'd already bought a competitor's program.

AND IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got every single picture back, in pristine, RAW condition.

They've been incredibly timely, professional and helpful in correspondence, and so, bottom line, trust them. Because holy moley, what a miracle they are!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found this software in a desperate google search after a key external drive had crashed and become inaccessible. Not sure how best to use the program I got in touch with Disk Drill who were really helpful in suggesting workarounds. Eventually, after 3 scans and an aborted attempt to image the disk (the drive it was backing-up to crashed as well), the program recovered pretty much the entire contents of the disk, including all the corrupted files. This is a really well-designed piece of software that's easy to use and gives clear options and instructions. It also stores the scans so that the material retrieved can be recovered at any time, to any drive. Would highly recommend.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU..THANK YOU....THANK YOU!!!!! You saved me from TOTAL RUINS! Story goes...I accidentally formatted a main drive and "thought" i lost everything. I searched and searched for software to help me try to recover it. Since i am somewhat good with computers...other than making the biggest mistake of my life..I left the drive alone and parked it...till i found your software. I said ok..lets try it. I have to say... it was the most thorough procedure i have ever seen!!. Not only did it find everything...and put just about all my important stuff back in folders...which i never ever thought i would get, and other reconstructed folders separated in great catagories. I think because i left it alone it certainly helped get back my whole life! But reguardless of that... yes it took almost 18 hours to scan over 400,000 files and about 16 hours to replace on another drive. ALL went very smooth and no crashes and super big smile on my face!!!! I thought you should know...and i would recommend this to anyone!!!

I would give them 0 stars if possible.
I bought the Disk drill pro as I could not use the free version as the files I had to recover were larger than 500 mb.
The disk drill pro did nothing! I have the files, but they are all corrupted and some of them cannot be opened. I paid £89 for nothing and according to them I do not qualify for a refund.
They are clearly a company that only wants to sell it's products and do not genuinely want to help

I can’t even begin to explain how amazing this software and company are to have been able to miraculously save each and everyone of my corrupted lost files!

I can’t recommend DISKDRILL enough!. It’s evidently the best most effective recovery software available on the open marketplace. I’ve gone through many others and many that don’t work -
With disk drill and it’s user friendly interface full of options and a 100% guaranteed full recovery of salvable viewable files. Incredible.

I was repeatedly let down by other software providers, but not with disk drill

Used Disk Drill to recover a large collection of video files from an external hard drive that had been ejected too quickly – about 2TB of data in total. It worked perfectly and I managed to get everything back.

I made a mistake with my order that David S quickly resolved, even though it was completely my fault and something the company wasn't obligated to fix.

Disk Drill was able to restore some of the data in spite of the major corruption caused by the device writing to the SD card. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to get anything back at all.

We were in desperate situation. We accidentally formatted a partition on our server's backup drive while doing a server recovery, due to a simple mistake in typing the command through Linux and we had no further backup for that drive.

Fortunately, the rescue version of linux didn't send the TRIM command to the SSD and DiskDrill did fantastic job to recover all the data from drive with the intact folder structure.

We are giving whole hearted thanks to DiskDrill development team to save us from a major disaster.
