Blatant profiteering on carriage charges.

I Ordered 3 very small parts for a chainsaw
Total weight 23gm. Was charged 5.99 plus VAT for tracked delivery !
At that price you'd have thought I would have received it next day but it took 16 days to arrive!

Royal Mail First Class would have been £1.29 , Second Class 0.96. Both with up to £20.00 compensation.
Even recorded delivery would be 2.69 or 2.39
My Hermes who they did use charge 2.95

Their nearest post office is round the corner at 56 Minster High St, but I'm told they are not close to a post office so they do not use Royal Mail courier services and we are unable to send a member of staff to post these items.

Even if somebody only went to the Post Office once a week, they could have quicker recorded delivery and be able to charge less carriage on small items. Of course this would affect their profits.
I would suggest that when small packets need to be posted give a member of staff an extra 10 minutes at lunch time or set up a contract with Royal Mail who will then collect as often as necessary.

Great Milwaukee safety net

Following on from my tool station review......
My Milwonkee combidrill is having new bits sent by these lovely people. Yes I had to pay because no one covers the Chuck after 90 days and I being stupid didn’t register the drill in a timely manner. But a bit of discount, a key ring and an upgraded delivery from Emma @ C.J. Sinclair took the sting out of that.

Update 11/02/21
Wow! The new Chuck is a considerable upgrade to the original Milwaukee part. It’s also not a difficult swap and when I became a little unsure about my next step CJ Sinclair couldn’t have been more helpful.
My Milwonkee is now Milfunkee..... where my drill bits at?

Awful Awful Awful.

Awful Awful Awful.
Took my chainsaw here to be fixed. Was told it would be ready in a week.
2 months later I'd had enough of being messed about and went to pick it up, I was given it back in bits (with parts missing) and given £20 by way of an apology.
Chainsaw was only good for scrap afterwards
