Service was excellent. The plumber telephoned ahead, and arrived on time. I explained the situation, the gentleman set to, replaced the part as the problem was in the current part. In needing to turn off the water in the property, he also discovered that the mains tap was leaking which was a useful side effect too. Would have no issue recommending this company.

I invited a company I knew from using them in the past. I was so impressed with their work, I asked them where they would like a review. The answer was "Checkatrade, please". Obviously, the tradesmen found there are reliable.

Very surprised by the response times from trades people interested in the job and being able to read the past reviews they had received really helped.

As a tradesmen, I wouldn't even bother, charge you the fix price each month, obviously to get you the jobs come through, then offer you completely small jobs what wouldn't even cover there monthly cost, let alone cost for your van, tools, insurance etc, best off getting out there and use the good old fashioned way, word of mouth, may take longer for your business to get where it needs, but I wouldn't get stressed out using scam'a'trade

Vintage property solutions was fantastic had my work done to a high standard! Then had some more done this week because they were that good so reasonable and in and out totally recommend them

The website is easy to use and posting a job on the site is easy. Depending on the job very much depends on the response you get back. My latest job I got little response. I eventually got a response and the price was right.

Having written what jobs we wanted doing on Checkatrade we were contacted very quickly by Chera Gas. He came to assess the work and gave us a decent quote for installingan electricshower and shower rails. The work was all completed within a few days and we were very pleased.

Frost Pest Control.For their attitude they don't deserve any stars.They were booked to come over for a flying ant problem.I was very distressed. I received a 'phone call and a very rude woman said we can't come out for a few ants the nest is their domaine.-we can't destroy it-I wasn't asking them to. They did not offer me any treatment instead and I had to'phone a different business which did the job. I think Frost weren't going to waste their time with this cheaper type of job. That is not a service-pick and choose from your communities.

Very professional right from the first appointment through to the completion of a very satisfactory conversion. Completely transformed out conservatory. Would highly recommend Ecozenic .

A warning to anyone thinking of joining checkatrade As a paid up member of 16 years £185 per month I have had one yes one complaint about me & have had my account blocked for over a month, they offer no empathy or real time knowledge of how customers & traders secure deals & just deal with you ruthlessly so to anyone out there not keen on a rival business it's an easy option... I could not even reply to an e mail stating I had had a complaint as on holiday but only to be told by checkatrade that I should of told them I was going away!!! Beware that's all as this is a shell of a company since it's takeover in looking after traders anyway.... Be glad to gone! & The thing is they genuinely don't give a damn.

Wow! A reply finally on here & to get in touch... Yeah right easier said than done! And even you can sit around for an hour or so listening to piped music then only to be spoken to by a cold non interested pen pusher who will just roboticly remind you of the terms & conditions!! No thanks! I'll stick to enjoying my unanswered e mails whilst you continue to rob me of hard earned money! Well done & if only I could do a bad review of checkatrade & get them shut down until I decide when to end it!

Bob called soon after my enquiry and the job was fixed next day, he actually called at my house within 24hrs and did the repair without me needing to be there.

Prompt responses, straight answers to my questions to most tradespeople and usually find a suitable artisan.

Process too long & I just wanted a list of people

One star for Check-a-trade because they failed to hold their one promise, to check the trade person I am hiring so that I can feel safe and trust the person that responds to my listing.
I needed a leak in my roof fixed, got three people come around and picked the one that seemed most trustworthy and they turned out to be cowboys. The bone I have to pick wich Check-a-trade is how they have been handling my complaint, which is to say not at all so far. I send emails repeatedly and get a response once a week, every time from someone else form a generic email, typically clueless. We had an independent contractor to write a report about the quality of the work that was done to our roof. I have shared all of this but still haven't had a single genuine approach to try and get to the bottom of this.
